It could be as simple as crests, but we just have to add two currencies to upgrade gear. At this rate. Just cut upgrading all together. Clearly you just can't do it correctly.
why?...gold is essentially a premium currency since you can buy it with real money so this is an overstep imho.hell id go as far to argue that gold shouldnt even be used for repairs anymore, its an outdated system that hasnt made sence since classic.

Well, it's more reasonable than charging gold for transmog, at the very least...
as long as the cost is adequate, then it's much better than valorstones.
