I would suggest to create 5 Trial Accounts on (WOW2,WOW3...) and enter in a Raid with your 6 Accounts. Doesn't matter which one you vote, your Characters will get the Token and since Transmogs are Accountwide, you can just buy up the Store in like 1-2 Hours with all of your 6 Accounts. No need to do this crap, since people are not going by Theme anyways and just vote like the coolest Transmog.If you didn't know, now you know.
You have to equip the Trial of Style slot outside, to be able to change it inside, its a workaround for now
You equip the trial of style outfit slot, but also have to save an existing set to it first. Then you can go queue up and change your outfit to fit the theme. That worked for me and in a way makes sense. If you have nothing saved to the outfit slot you can't change anything either. So don't think this is a bug.

Another corner of the game bugged. They just don't seem to know how to do it anymore. And forget balancing changes that they don't seem to be able to get a grip on, entire abilities are popping in and out of spec trees mid expansion like nobody cares.
Would be nice if they actually added something new to buy. You can go almost a year with no changes which makes this event a non-starter for most of the year.
It still amazes me how one game can be that bugged. And yet, we'll have WoW apologists here in the comments section telling me it's normal because of dev team priorities and scalability and etc, etc, etc. Bull$%^&.

They deserve every single punishment from the players when they "cheese" this events to get what they want, since this incompetents like it so much to make the game a Live Beta, year after year.

I also had a bug where when the transmog timer expired, the competition didn't start. I chose to leave the group after sitting there for a few minutes and got a 30 minute deserter debuff. The incompetence is painful.
