I hid for 3 minutes and juked everyone, got 30+6 currency for "Victory".I afk'd until I was discovered, took 57s, got 30+5 currency for "Excellence".In its current state, I don't think it matters what you do... A lot of effort, or no effort at all seems to net the same.
Not to mention half the time you wont get any reward. I found 2 or 3 free ppl and was the 2nd to last to be "caught" and got a whopping ZERO coins with a mocking message "Do more next time" Im done with this.
First round: we found everyone within 2 minutes, even got an achievement.Second round: I got found fastresult: dispelled coins cause I wasn't "participating"...
The 'do more next time' thing is infuriating as you end up competing against your own team to get tags and often just leave with nothing. You can hide and not get found, but not get a tag in the next round, and get nothing. There seems to be no rhyme or reason as to what gets you coins. This isn't a particularly fun mode, rather frustrating and fiddly, while not being very generous when you do get something.
In it's current state it's unplayable, half the time you get 0 rewards despite NOT being inactive.
inactivity checks and an afk penalty on a gamemode where hiders are MEANT TO STAND STILL FOR AS LONG AS THEY CAN is absoutely insane
Yep, I'm done with it too until the fix the Dispelled Coins. I get them too often and I have never deserved it.
I get they wanted to emulate Prop Hunt. Sure.I've played a lot of Prop Hunt games where there also is the whistle thing and something that penalizes you for staying still too long.Except, in Prop Hunt, maps are usually not that opened, you have a lot more small rooms with only one door. This allows you to sneak around in the map without everybody seeing you as easily from the other side of the map.In Prop Hunt, the hunters are in FPS view, so, as a prop, you can sneak behind them when they're not looking. The fact hunters in Decor Duel have the usual camera changes things A LOT.Then, in Prop Hunt, USUALLY, you'll often see variants where the hunters have a limit as to how many times they can try to dispell a prop disguise. I've played some where the hunter straight-up dies if he uses his dispell ability on a non-player prop more than 5 times. Meaning they're incentivized to be extremely careful. In Decor Duel however, there is barely any cooldown and no penalty, so you can spam the AoEs everywhere without care.Everything in Decor Duel is made to penalize the prop-players.I'm not playing Decor Duel until Blizzard makes some changes, it's not worth my time.
Half of the time you get dispelled coins even if you are super active. This mode is sadly an absolute joke at this point. Either Blizz fixes this or it will become one of their biggest failures.
Do more next time is incredibly passive aggressive. It makes me want to actively sabotage play.
I was looking forward to this mode thinking it is a fun hide and seek game where you find a perfect hiding spot and other people need to find you. In fact it was another disappointment and abomination where you are actually punished for hiding.... I am so sad
these dont seem like tips honestly. it seems like a continuation or shorter version for decor duels compared to your last post about it.not even spots to hide, when to trigger traps or locations to put traps, etc? what about stats on which furniture item is used most and found most or least found and least used?not even a comment about wishing to see a new arena with different themes of furniture. like an armani troll village with their themed items to find?
If you run around trying to find people, and don't because maybe the other team is hiding better or others get the tags, you get flagged for non-participation and get no coins. It's actually the dumbest thing I've seen in a while in this game. The devs responsible should be given their walking papers for such a punitive decision.
