He claims to be sympathetic with both sides, but I don't think he is searching for reason on this, merely a way to map this on to pre-existing standpoints. In order to do this, he has to lie.The original lore is NOT "S.A.", it's magical dragon breeding. There is no sex in Warcraft, so there is no S.A. This is just a way of moralistic grandstanding, for a fanfiction strawman of SA that simply does not exist in this world. None of the dragons have genitals, so really the only way they'll "mate" is through magic - which is totally in line with how the rest of the game works, and how a lot of fantasy games handle this if they don't want to deal with "adult" topics.Why does it matter? Because if you whitewash your game world to please the perpetually offended - of which there are an infinite number of ways to be offended - eventually everything will be worn down into something designed by committee, no darkness or light or colour, just different shades of beige. And we're seeing this happen now.The argument that Blizzard cannot have anything resembling SA in their game, is orthogonal to whether they actually have that or not. Fantasy and reality should be separate, and entertainment is at its weakest when bad writers borrow modern sentiments for fiction that is designed to be far away from the world we live in.

Okay, first of all, I love T&E and I think this was a great video. Secondly. If you need explicit rape, sexual assault, genitals flying around, and gore everywhere for things to feel dark to you… ya might wanna seek some therapy. I don’t need spoon fed grim dark for it be grim dark. I have a brain and a pretty good imagination. I just don’t understand the necessity for ‘dark and gritty’ everywhere.

Why do you guys keep posting and advertising for Taliesin & Evitel anyway compared to other creators? Are they paying you for the service? It’s unusual.You may like them and are showing favouritism? Personally I and I know many others find them disingenuous, overly opinionated, subjective, and dare I say bordering on annoying.Just odd.
