Hell, It's about time.
How do I subscribe to the Shadowlands Beta?
I thought I heard something about double checking your beta settings to opt-in for beta invites but I can't find that page anywhere. In fact I haven't seen it ever since things were overhauled. I clicked on opt-in on the Shadowlands details page so hopefully that's enough.
Time to test and see if there's more Endgame content than 8.0.3
Go to your account settings on the website and there's an opt-in page. Good luck! :)
@Anshlunhttps://worldofwarcraft.com/en-us/shadowlands/#opt-inCan you add this link for people to opt-in? The option is no longer on the settings page and everyone has to click there in order to opt-in for the beta.
Can they allow open beta on time/earlier this time so we can all test it and report what works and what not and not only streamers perhaps? The game is out in matter of 2-3 months tops, there wont be time to fix the game and it will be disaster like BFA due to zero testing.
Is that opt-in url global for us in EU?Thanks!
You make it sound like there are sooo many streamers. There are really only 4-5 “important” ones, so stop acting like only streamers get beta invites. They do get into alphas more often but alphas are always limited and it’s fine for them to do some showing off of the limited systems in place. I’m not important and I’ve been in every beta since wrath, and alpha for 2 more. It is 95% random luck.
At about 17:15 of the youtube stream recording, John Hight says that Shadowlands will release "this fall," which I assume means between September to November/latter half of December, meaning there will possibly be between 2-5 months of beta testing. Got me a bit worried when I first heard it, but considering previous expansions (as pointed out by Rankkor here in the comments), it will, hopefully, be enough.
I know people are tired of BFA... I know they're ready for Shadowlands... but I hope and pray that Blizzard will take their sweet time and make the expansion as meaningful as it can be. I hope they are listening to feedback and learning from their customers.
