Oh! now them don't Q_Q about exploits.
If Blizzard has any honor anymore, they should disqualify them.Sure, it was clever or luck of how they found this, but it's clearly an exploit as the storm doesn't hit that area.
clever? this is exploit, obviously. he was OUTSIDE IN THE STORM and NOT TAKING DMG? god lord I didnt watch the event and thank god, what a waste of time when this "thing" wins like this... pathetic, literally pathetic that none DQed them for cheating on the spot
Blame the creator not the players. Not everyone was playing the same game.
Fail format just like last time and people who don't deserve to win winning it again, just like last time.
Pika pog! THE MOVE
Xar and Pika winning on the board and losing the tourney for the SECOND TIME is wild.
It is well known at this point you can jump on things and at times avoid lightning because of it. With that said, Blizzard needs to format the game better to avoid such endings. My suggestion is that early on in the final phase, random winds should wildly push people at times, enough to throw them off such buildings. Something like that would at least prevent such gameplay from happening. With regards to Gingi, I don't blame him for going on the roof because it is an established strat at this point for trying to win in the final phase. Very unsporting, but I would not call it an exploit simply because if a developer chooses not to fix a bug at a certain point, it eventually needs to be treated more so as a feature. I am more irritated that Blizzard has still not solved the roof problem, and I would direct my ire more at the company than the player here.Regardless, I enjoy Plunderstorm a ton and hope they keep building on it as a game mode.
Revoke the prize
Gingi and Meeres Cheating? Why am I not surprised?Echo is known for this behaviour and yet they always seem to get away with it.
There is enough salt here to fill a pool lol - Don't hate the player, hate the dev...
It was unbelievably disappointing to see Pika and Xar playing so well only for the victory to slip through their hands because of this. You can call it a cheese, an exploit, or a clever use of game mechanics--or all of the above--but I'd LOVE to see the winner determined in a different way.
why do they win with this? its obviously not intended to not get damaged inside the storm. weak ass decision.
Yeah, format is bad but it is known beforehand and everyone joining agrees to it.Also to all those echo haters. both max and trill got to that tower right before gingi, intending to do the same but they were pushed off.
very fun to watch. still hate the format since it doesn't make any sence whatsoever.
Absolutely LOL about this.Exploit or not, it's an absolute joke that Blizz would let stuff like this happen, in a tournament with real prize money.Good for those guys, not exactly what I would define as a win, but it's money.
"clever use of game mechanics" moment. Bit sad...
No flame against Gingi, I think it was a sick play to react and follow them up there on their own device and knock him off, maybe a bit ratty to stay up there in the end, but anyone would have done the same thing in that situation with the competition and prize on the line, if anyone says they wouldn't they are not being honest with themselves. But the format of allowing someone to win without any kills is just terrible, and just once again shows that Blizzard has no clue how to do fair competitions.I mean, in the first one didn't they allow some people to pick their teams while others were just put together? At least it seemed like that from the outside as some of the teams had no relations. That is just insane to think about in a "fair" competition with real money prizes.I just can't take Blizzard tournaments seriously anymore. If it was a fair format, Xaryu and Pika would obviously have won.I have to say though, as bad as I think the format is, for someone like me who loves the Echo vs Liquid rivalry (without taking any sides), that last match could not have been written any better :)
