It's clear the WeakAura author put in a good amount of work and did a good job here. But I continue to be disturbed by the fact addons are effectively mandatory to raid. Nobody should have to walk into a raid with an arsenal of WeakAuras, BigWigs, etc. just to be able to understand fights and actions to take.I guess what I'm saying is: I'm tired of Blizzard's arms race with addon authors.
Guys you don't have to bring the same non sense debate on every addon related news.
I do not understand the complain about the WAs. It is required only to learn the fight, after learning the fight you ignore them. The only thing you want and need is Bigwigs/DBM to time your cds correctly and not use them 3 or 4 seconds before an intermission preventing you from effectively using the damage provided by the cds. Also, it is beyond frustrating that there is this group of people that do a difficulty that do not require WAs to clear the raid difficulty they are on but they want WAs removed just because. I am trying to be diplomatic but their behaviour sounds like that karen neighbour that spy on you and whenever she is annoyed by what you do, not anyone else, she calls the cop or complain to the administration of the neighbourhood just to make you go through checks. This kind of player is the one that cries toxic when they are the toxic ones, starting fights and then play victim. They are that group of obnoxious player that you see in FF14, the ones that reported a streamer because he used a dps metter for personal use, which it is allowed. After they did that, I am sure they gone back to ERP and $%^ to Y'shtola.
The complaining about add-ons is wild to me because they've been a part of WoW since the beginning. CT Raid and a threat meter in Vanilla WoW lol. If you think add-ons are bad you should try raiding in an MMO from before WoW, literal egg timers used to track mechanics and respawn timers. Being a raid leader used to be an actual full time job.
i'd much rather have everybody in the game using weakauras instead of trolls that don't even read the journal before going into raid
