Why this did not work this way in the first place is mind-boggling. Better late than never :) I am all for it.
Definitely a QOL changes but im sure there would also be time where resetting whole path would be convenient. Just saying.
FINALLY! Should have been at launch. It's been a PITA since day 1.
So talent D is dependent on C, which is dependent on B which is dependent on A… it kinda makes sense that if talent A is removed, that any and all talents that are downstream dependent on talent A will also be removed. It’s a pre-requisite, if I’m reading and understanding the post correctly, I can now pick whatever talents I want to wherever they are on the tree without following the pre-requisite chain? What’s to stop someone from just starting to assign talents from all the bottom rows? Clearly I’m not one who switches talents every fight, because to me I’d rather spend my time playing the game than configuring my character. Maybe instead of changing the talent tree and its rules over and over, maybe, just maybe the devs should take a look at encounter tuning and change things up in there so that players don’t feel the need to change talents for every encounter? Also, at this point shouldn’t you just have your talent builds saved and not have to worry about misclicking a button or causing a cascading dependency collapse?
