You actually talk to Sansok Khan after accepting the quest from Valdrakken. Basran is the pet.
You can skip all the way to the final part. Which helps if you can't talk to Sansok Khan (I couldn't as I haven't finished the zones quest).
Do you have to progress Ohn'aran Plains to get Sansok Khan to appear? Im here and the NPC isnt.
The cave entrance for the burial location is 43.59 48.05
Just FYI, if Basran is not at the coordinates you may be in a quest chain that has him somewhere else so you may have to finish that quest or possibly drop it. I am in that scenario and I think I will have to finish where I am.

I just cant get the quest from Kathos on any character, even tho I did all the steps every day so far

I swear, I wouldn't even be surprised if all of this is just some ridiculous PR stunt for some weird souvenir business opening up in Valdrakken.
I’m really glad I looked at the comments and realized I could skip to the end (would have done that first, had I known instead of wasting all that time…) because it wouldn’t let me burn away the cobwebs for the 5th marker.
Talk to Preservationist Kathos at the inn in Valdrakken to receive and complete A Proper Burial, receiving Maruuk Burial Banner. I haven't been able to receive the clue to move forward with Burial is there a work around for not getting the Burial Banner I tried the skips and checked alts NEED HELP!
