Midnight Player Housing Updates

Pet & Mount integration - Have your companion pets to wander around or have your favorite mounts hitched up outside. Want more opportunities to showcase your cosmetic collections.

Mass Select Decor - Players have created inspiring pieces cobbled together out of multiple other decor, but moving these items can require full reconstruction. Blizzard's looking to add support for drag and drop selecting of multiple items .

Copy & Paste Decor - Looking to get multiple copies of your designed decor, copy and paste the same item; No assembly required.

Import/Export Design Sharing - Share your most creative designs with quick and easy importable codes that provide a full renovation or a starting point to customize.

Decor Budget Increases - With technical limits expanding, Blizzard wants to reward ongoing progression with larger decor budgets to truly push the limits of player creativity.

This is just the ground floor for housing in WoW. We want this feature to be a reflection of your life and times in Azeroth, and we're serious about expanding it and improving it alongside you.”

Can I have all 1850 pets around my house? I promise I'll take good care of them.

Comment by kaizuim

Were alts in homes ever talked about by devs or was it just a community wish?

Comment by ApturoTopturo

Maybe allow for alts to roam around the house or be able to assign rooms to them

Comment by Unfknblvble

I would love to be able to put our mounts inside our house. I want to create a small farm with pets AND mounts in one of the outdoor rooms.

Comment by Caerule

The ability to group up items, copy them and import/export them is huge, of course.

Still, they talked about Guild Halls, a Housing road map, and hinted at other communal stuff coming, in recent interview. With said roadmap said to be coming closer to the expansion's release. There's no real details given on the year's road map on housing, so that can't be it.

As a guild leader that has to plan they year ahead, I was really hoping to hear more on Guild Halls and such, for our neighborhood. I hope that's still coming, or I will be a little disappointed.

I'd like it if NPCs could visit our houses. Wander around, sit on the furniture, look at the bookshelves, that kind of thing. Khadgar, Thrall, whoever.

Give us an option to exchange like 10k gold into a pile of gold coins as a housing decor item.
Also give us things like sets of keys, jewelry, chests of gold, various other shinies & treasures as decor items.
How else are we supposed to live out our Scrooge McDuck fantasies of having a personal treasure vault?

Such good news. It's such a fun feature. My guild is absolutely loving it so far. I can't wait for these features. I still really hope for having alts chilling around the house but I understand that requires some more technical improvements. Still, having pets roaming around will be a huge plus. I've been so much more interested in this than the rest of Midnight itself!

What about saving the rooms? I want to redesign my entire house now that I know more about the system and tricks, but I don’t want to lose the good rooms. I have been waiting for an option to save the rooms so I can place them down after rebuilding the main room etc.

Comment by jacklowry

The big issue now is the storage cap, which is killing a lot of fun and creativity -- especially given it's not even working right. (It taps out at around 4800 rather than 5000.) It's going to need to be raised before Midnight or people will have bags full of decor they can't learn.

OK.

Now let us hang weapons on our walls

Comment by 2lazy2jz

*!@# all that we got weapon racks AND NO WEAPONS! why cant i use the cosmetics of got with my armor and weapons

Comment by merex760

So copy/paste. If I have one chair, I could just copy it? Yes please.

That would be nice if we'd get NPC visitors

Comment by NagisaStreams

Pease let us hang weapons! Wasn’t there a thunderfury prop in proportional material on the wall?

Either way, would love to be able to place cool weapons I have, even if it’s limited to only a few.

Comment by Karthys

Endeavors are amazing idea, except for the ethereals, whoever thought cat sized parkour was a good idea needs to not have creative input allotment

it was discussed by ion in an interview at one point. Theres some technical limitation around loading a character that isnt logged in. Its something they would like to do, along with having your alts be present as dungeon companions.

Comment by RaZz0r65

I still wish we could have hunter pets walk around, it could also open up the opportunity for account wide hunter pets using a special housing hunter pet stable.

Comment by Chochu

Never seen them beg so much in a video asking for feedback, sure they have ask before and usually ignored it but this time was different is as they were appealing casually to the masses. Midnight expansions looks and feels more than ever an experiment before actually bringing the "big guns" to save the day if it comes to that on The Last Titan.

No wonder they are saving the new classes for it and who knows what else. gg

Any word on storage limits? Tired of deleting things to be able to learn new decor.
