Comments here will be civil, no doubt.
Uh ....how is this wow news
All Ai art is Ai slop and you can't change my mind
ai:dr
Oh I am sure putting AI leadership as head of their games will not backfire at all /s
”the future of AI” – stop right there, boss. Too far saying it has a future.
we place our trust in gaben
Game, set, match. Playstation wins. The next Xbox will be the Xbox AI including no physical GPU and an "AI cloud card" that'll be like GeForce Now, but 4x blurrier. Can't wait for AI generated WoW expansions forced unto the WoW devs by an Instacart executive with zero gaming experience! Let's goooooo, corporations are awesome!
She has 0 history in gaming, all of it in AI and her entire LinkedIN page is about AI. She was also in charge of Microsoft's AI which was a PR nightmare for them and a disaster at launch and still bad to this day. What an amazing choice to be put in charge of everything.
I can't imagine anything about this is good news for any gaming company owned by Microslop. First the layoffs at ABK and now this. I really don't have much faith WoW will remain decent for much longer if the new CEOs are going to be heavy-handed about pushing copilot (or worse) into those gaming companies they now control.
So it's gonna be Booty. Got it.
I welcome our AI overlords
Activision Blizzard isn't using any generative AI yet... Except they fired all french voice actors because they refused to accept their voices could be used to train AIThey did it quietly hoping no one would notice, except we did. Xal', Alleria, Anduin, Turalyon... None of them have their real voice on beta.Future is looking bleak with news like this. Every localization will say goodbye to their voices... And maybe later, animators, musicians and concept artist.
Sounds more like she plans to try to make a Microsoft version of !@#$%^&*/Roblox going by her opening statement.Probably with some kind of silly ai-based tools that people can use to make stuff, if we want to take the (more) cynical view. The very popular battle royale videogame from Epic is apparently censored on Wowhead, which is hilarious.
Do they not have anyone who knows anything about games left at Microsoft Gaming?
RIP BLIZZARD
