My most epic drop was definitely when I tamed Humar the Pridelord. As a low level alliance hunter, you have to run through Stranglethorn Vale to hop the boat from Booty Bay to Ratchet. There, in Horde territory, I had to camp this rare spawn for 3 days. I have limited playtime, so I'd wake up at 6 am and watch for him until I had to go to work, and after work until bedtime. Finally, on the third day I logged in and saw he had spawned, and a Troll hunter was running toward him. I cast tame pet, and the other hunter started shooting everything he had at me. My heart was racing until I saw the spell flash to say I had tamed him. The Troll, stopped shooting at me and emoted a /cry on my shoulder. Epic.
I consider my T2 helmet (my first epic) on my druid as the most epic, I was so excited to be a moose!

My most epic loot was my Tier 2 Belt off of Razorgore pre-BC. It was our first attempt inside of BWL ever. Everyone had read up on the fight except a trial recruit.Long story short: curiosity got the best of him.He summoned his Eye of Kilrogg (while everyone was preparing for the battle) and went up to where the Controller Orb was and started the fight. So we calmly proceed to fight. One of our dragon kiters (a warrior) died 3/4 the way through and a mage decided to try his hand, he got them under control. And with all the panic heals on the mage, the second kiter died. Sadly we had like 6 eggs left : /. Then suddenly the mage speeds across the floor and magically gains control of the dragons. 'WHO BRINGS SPEED POTS TO RAIDS?' was the first thing heard over vent. Our kiting healers were going OOM because of the damage the mage was taking so someone quickly explains the strategy of having the mage run to a corner, getting DIed, letting them walk a few feet away and then clicking it off. Suprisingly enough it worked perfectly, we had time for healers to get him up before they made it back to him. A few seconds later the eggs were gone and we killed him.
My most epic loot drop had to have been way back when the Ancient Petrified Leaf was still a big deal to hunters. I farmed in MC for months before it finally came down to Me. Every raid night that we downed Majordomo the leaf either did not drop or I lost the roll to another hunter in the guild. When it did finally drop and I actually won the roll I was ecstatic. Now I will admit that until I got that leaf I thought I knew what it meant to be a hunter. Unless you have passed the trials and defeated those demons (before the nerfs...) you don't know what it means to truly play the class. This was THE hunters right of passage, Rhok'delar, Longbow of Epic Bragging Rights.
When I got Myrmidon's Signet from UD Strat in vanilla WoW on my very first toon, no one wanted it. So we all rolled, I won it and sold it for 550g at lvl 57 and it allowed me to buy my epic mount and training when I hit 60 ^_^
okay this was on my alt. toon, an affliction lock, i felt like i never did enough pvping pre-BC so i started too and during AV after killing balinda she droped a card luckly everyone left before i looted and won it, sold it for 300g, after getting rich i bought alot of chanting mat.s for future enchanting.
For me my best drop was when I farmed for 3 days straight to get the firefly drop off the mobs in zangarmarsh, now everyone envies me ^_^.
the day i was able to put a rune of swordshattering on my silver spade bloody shovel ftw!
