The most epic loot I've ever gotten ? Now that's a very good question indeed, since we all tend to get quite a lot of stuff out there. Thinking for a moment, I think there is one thing that has touched my heart and left a mark nonremovable by dropping...getting http://www.wowhead.com/?item=33816 from the http://www.wowhead.com/?item=35348 when I had only just reached 70. That companion is always on my side, rocking hard with me where ever I am and whatever I'm doing ^^
Maybe not Spectacular but one of my favorites is my Hippogryph Hatchling, he is so cute ;-D but if he wasn't blue he could be toucan Sam! ROFL!
My most epic memory was way Pre-BC when sets like Valor and Shadowcraft were great for pvp.I was a warrior and most of my gear like others was green and some blues. I spent all the money I had, which was like 50g, on Darkrune Helm. Just afterwards, some people whispered me asking if I'd like to tank Scholomance, they said they were on the last couple bosses. I said "Ok, and I just bought darkrune helm so I have extra shadow resistance, lucky me." I've never ran the instance so we got to the last room where all the bosses are and we downed them one by one. When the last one was dead I heard "SCHOOL IS NOW IN SESSION.", and Darkmaster Gandling came sprinting up to me. It scared the living daylights out of me, even for a game. But we all regrouped and we barely managed to finish him off. The first thing I saw was Helm of Valor, and I screamed in-game and irl, "OMG THE HELM!". Everyone was really nice and said congrats, thankfully I was the only plate also. After that I just chilled on the IF bridge and laughed at the Darkrune Helm in my bank. The one downside was that it made my beard go away, haha.
My most epic drop... *Thunder and lightning* after many, many hours of farming stratholme... I finally got it... The Piccolo of the Flaming Fire! Haha, Now I spend hours in Dalaran annoying people in large quantities with it :D Most fun I've had on wow, next to the time me and a couple of guildies 3 manned ZG. They make everything funnier :D
When I got the Ancient Amani Longbow from Zul'jin it was pretty epic because it was the first kill I had done of him & I was finally able to replace my Valanos' Longbow (Prince Malchezaar never dropped the bow for me)
My "most epic" drop ever wasn't a drop, per se. It was me finally being able to walk in to the Champion's Hall after weeks and weeks of PVPing on my Paladin. Remember way back when... before "honor points" were a currency? When you had to dedicate yourself to PVP to reap any true rewards? When there was no such thing as cross-realm battlegrounds, and everyone knew each other? Well, those were awesome times.I logged in that Tuesday afternoon, saw that I had finally hit rank 6, and proudly walked in to the Champion's Hall to look around at this relatively rare zone. I remember feeling so "cool" when my friends asked how I got in there.I miss the old days, way before BC came out. I have 3 gigs of screenshots, 4 years worth of WoW, I LOVE looking through them and remembering old friends and events. :)
So here's my story, Curse Contest Judges. (We're going back to BC here)When I joined WoW, I raised a warrior. I instantly loved the thought of me tanking in endgame content, so much that I ended up leveling as prot. One day, while talking to my 70(!) warlock friend, he linked me the Unbreakable Will. That was the most badass sword in history, and I was determined to some day obtain it.Fast forward, and I've been a 70 warrior tank for a while, but my one complaint while tanking was that I NEVER got a better tanking sword then the from Heroic Mechanar. Not the King's Defender, Mallet of Tides, Unforgiving Cleaver, or Unbreakable Will, as my guild was yet to be in Black Temple. So the days go on, nothing. Finally, in a raid, we're on the second boss of Hyjal. So I miss the loot, and I missed the UNBREAKABLE WILL! I was so !@#$ed, as I was using the Quickening Blade of the Prince, but above all, they DISENCHANTED the epic tanking weapon because no one could use it in the raid.So STILL, times went on, and I transferred guilds. Another day in Hyjal, when I was least expecting it, the UNBREAKABLE WILL drops. Of course I quickly need and receive the loot.Even though it was only a few weeks until wrath, and I ended up raising my shadow priest to 80 first, I was just so happy that I had finally gotten a better tanking sword; the one I was determined to get for my entire WoW career. THAT was my most epic loot.
Huge Gnoll Claw from Hogger. It was a truely epic battle carried out over several zones and costing countless lives of innocent villagers caught up in the melee. In the end, when the dust settled and the corpses counted, I emerged victorious.
