Well, and thats it? End of the story?
Another yawning-fest, another unknown looming threat, the last (but momentary as our experience tells) stage of the endless hamster wheel grind, with pretty Disney-esque glitter sprinkled all over every theme, design, and colours. Let's hope "The Warchief" brings a better story for the next expansion...
So now we already know that Azeroth is gonna have the exact same thing happen to her. Someone's spirit is going to pass through her and make her new.blah blah blah predictable as always.
K'aresh is saved! Granted the planet is now the size of the average Walmart parking lot, but hey, BEES!
Soul Scribe did not deserve such a blessed ending. She does NOTHING to warrant being the one who saves the world soul, she backstabs us at the drop of a hat because her sugar daddy told her to, and she was infused with Xal'atath magic at one point so the world soul is probably screwed ten ways to Sunday. They did not build her up enough to make it seem like she deserved to be the hero in the end. The dungeon being available and spoiling most of her ending prior to the cinematic release is also a baffling choice. Soul Scribe was a throwaway antagonist that got far too much despite not earning any of it. No buildup, no motivation, nothing. Just her being King Salad's call girl when he showed up out of nowhere. This isn't a good ending. At all. Yes, Nexus-King and Soul Scribe had their stories expanded upon in the novels, but that is NOT an acceptable excuse to lick boot. This information is vital to the player in understanding WHY we should care about some dumb throwaway cultist in Outland and his loyal servants, and it was in a book that you had to buy outside of the game. Why in the world is something that is IMPORTANT to the plot not present during the plot itself? Why do you need to buy random extra junk to get the full story? The answer is obviously a cash grab of course. This is just plain scummy. This could be excused in the past for older tabletop games as that's how it was meant to be experienced, but this is not an older tabletop game. This is an evolving story where key elements are hidden behind an additional paywall.Ghosts of K'aresh is a terrible final major patch for too many reasons, but the story being so jank is definitely one of the biggest problems. This has been my Ted Talk, and feel free to disregard my observations and just call me a hater.
Draenor K'aresh is free!
this honestly feels like nyalotha all over again, Karesh could have been utilized much better than a small endgame zone and a campaign questline that takes an hour to do
just run a single soul through a ruined world soulgg
Is it just me that thinks killing Alleria would have made a better story? Just hear me out.Locus-Walker dying only affects one person: Alleria. Nobody else knew him. And it didn't add to her motivation, it's the same one she had at the start of WW.But Alleria dying would have a huge effect on so many people and influence events going forward.Locus-Walker feeling like it's his fault she died, now becoming obsessive in hunting Xal.Turalyon having lost Alleria to the Void, could go obsessive in Light.Arathor would be greatly affected at having lost his mother. All of the Sons of Lothar would be affected at having lost a comrade.Anduin would have even more reason to be a sad boy.Vereesa, having now lost two sisters, could finally get a chance to get a bigger role as Quel'thalas gets attacked in Midnight, and she seeks to avenge Alleria. And finally, for us the players, we would have seen a legacy character and main character of the expansion die, setting the tone and stakes for Midnight. Also sidenote, "When next we meet I will take everything you love" is more cartoony than anything the Jailer ever said.
When i wanted to use the new campsite i got and error as soon i hit apply witht eh new campsite and it made me close the game have anyone else the same problem with that or is it just me.
wow, the storytelling in this franchise is so bad it physically hurts me. This is so $%^&ing stupid.
