so ursoc died for nuffins ;_;
I wouldn't exactly call killing Ara'lon a sad moment.That's for Ursoc, bastard.
His death was extremely underwhelming and lacking impact. He died, and that sucks for sure, but there's absolutely no reason to care that he died. Ara'lon was not an interesting character. His only claim to fame, just like "Zappyboi" in BfA, was that he was in one of the better cinematics of the expansion. I'm not a pro-Ursoc looney, but Ara'lon's death has no impact outside of the "woah, that was unexpected" factor.
His death was stupid and pointless, shoehorned in by a master of illusion not being able to tell it was an illusion despite some rando saying "Hey that doesn't even sound like the drust leader"What a colossal letdown for the conclusion of an otherwise great campaign.
I mean yeah it was sad I guess but outside of the Ardenweald Afterlives video, your interaction with Ara'lon is a small handful of quests during the Ardenweald storyline (like 4 or 5) and like 3 "go kill people" quests during 1 chapter of the covenant campaign (out of 9). So a bit of an underwhelming death for sure. "Ardenweald brings the tears time and time again" feels a bit dramatic for this in my opinion. It was much more just "oh that's too bad" than anything else
Killing him may make me want to go Night Fae after all. The guy had ONE JOB.
So, I didn't have a huge attachment to Ara'lon, but it's still a big shame, he wanted to do what was best for Ardenweald and put a lot of work to try to save his friend. And the Night Fae in general just... make sacrifice after sacrifice for the greater good. It felt very, very satisfying to exact righteous retribution down on the Drust, not just for Ara'lon but for everything they've done so far. Especially with the Winter Queen backing you, the term 'cold fury' doesn't really do it justice. And that last speech of hers was great.
Right in my feels. My poor Ara'lon.....
These Shadowlands death have me confused. When you die you go to Shadowlands....but when you die in Shadowlands...?
Kind of a waste to build him up as a major character, do seemingly nothing with him, and then kill him off. Who did we get for Afterlives?
Why use the placeholder beta video?
Gotta admit my first reaction when it happened was "who's this dude again?". And that comes from someone who's still kinda invested in Warcraft's lore.
JUSTICE FOR BEAR FRIEND!
Well that's sad.
