The pace they've set is that we get something every 8 weeks. So we just got 10.2.We'll get 10.2.5 in January~~10.2.7 in March10.2.8 in May (Maybe? Ion confirmed 3 more content patches BEFORE the prepatch but they also said no 10.3? They prolly meant no extra raid tier)Prepatch in JulyExpansion in September.11.0.5 in November11.0.7 in January...11.1 in March......And remember these .5 and .7 patches have been giving us a hundred quests, mega dungeons, new zones, new cinematics, talent balances and/or overhauls.People cry now can't understand how some of us would wait 14 months for a patch. Some of us would go forever and get a selfie cam.Dragonflight has the BEST patch cadence we've ever had. No more '.5 is a systems update' type thing. Our last .5 gave us SO MUCH.I'm fine with this.
for some people, 90 bucks is less than one good meal.
18 months expansions, of which 6 months is used for fixing their own mess before the game is functional/fun again. So basically 1-year expansions in reality.Sounds like a good idea.
I prefer quality over quantity. Two years cycle feels great when the content that is released within that time period is meaningful. But it seems like every new patch is a smidgen of story progression paired with just another outdoor event to farm. Squishing more of that kind of 'content' into a shorter time frame feels bad. It will quickly get to a point where I and many others will feel like we aren't getting what we've paid for.
I'll take 18 months with no fated season over 2 years with fated. That's all i'm saying.
This is going to be a disaster lol
