Collector's Bounty Buff

Alongside the Greedy Emissary event, take advantage of the Collector's Bounty buff. Foes in legacy dungeons and raids find themselves overloaded with extra treasure. Defeat them once again to collect their bountiful rewards for you and your Warband.

When : Begins July 1 at 8:00 am PDT and ends July 29 at 8:00 am PDT

If you've been on the hunt for rewards that have been eluding you, now's the time to get them. The following will have drop rates increased by up to 10 times (and in one case, 25 times!), while your chance for Transmog loot drops is doubled in legacy (pre-Dragonflight) raids and dungeons:

All pre-Dragonflight legacy mounts from legacy dungeons and raids
Eye of Sulfuras (Molten Core)
Golden Hearthstone Card (The Nighthold)
Bindings of the Windseeker (Molten Core)
Warglaives of Azzinoth (Black Temple)
Thori'dal, The Stars' Fury (Sunwell Plateau)

Some exclusions do apply—for instance, all Timewalking content is excluded, as are Pets and Toys.

The Collector's Bounty buff is active by default, but you can visit any innkeeper in the capital cities and Dalaran to turn it off or on again.

Prepare for raging posts from redditors who have been posting their 0.1% drops these past weeks for absolutely noone to care

Comment by bluebird91

I thought they'd like double the chance at most. But 10 times, wth? Time to put my 50+ alt army to good use and get started on creating a proper schedule and farming plan cause that 10x bonus is just too good to pass up.

This raises it to what 1.1%?

Ten times 1% isn't 10%. It's not even 2% which would be 50 times higher. I do wish they'd speak plainly and say the new expected drop rate, rather than what they did. If it's going to be a 10% drop, hooray! If it's a .1% boost, I remain enthusiastic about other games.

As an avid mount collector, I AM
SO EXCITED! My alt army is gonna be living in old raids 😂

Poggies. Can finally put some of these grinds to rest, hopefully.

Just had to do this at the exact same time as the mop pre patch......sigh.

I need people to understand that I ran Icecrown Citadel 570 times for Invincible and I still think this is an incredible thing to do.
I’m only… slightly… slightly irritated that I wasted 400 hours of my life in that Citadel. Only slightly.
I will be going and getting all my rare mounts now to soothe my sadness. To Hellfire Citadel and finally the robot may be mine? We will see.

Comment by Rellyne

The problem is the base value of the drop hahahaha

If its less than 1%, 10x it is not that much.

The transmogs on the other hand, are interesting.

By the way wowhead:

all Timewalking content is excluded,

Why would you list the timewalking mount on it? Hahahaha

Comment by Hojzti

"I farmed the mounts before it got buffed, WHAT DO I GET?"

Comment by Rellyne

Its the same trick they pull on Diablo drop rates. "This will be 20 times higher chance", but the base chance was less than 1%.

Same goes for the event mounts, "we doubled the chance on your first kill of the day", but the drop rate was 0.01% to begin with.

Shame that it works, as you can see people all freaking out like it was buffed to 10%, 50%...

All pre-Dragonflight legacy mounts

does this include the drake skins?

Comment by Fatman23

Intersting that Sylvanas Legendary is excluded since its pre-dragonflight

Comment by Isiliel81

Nice! So a Mount with 0,1% dropchance has no an absolute crazy chance of 1%! I mean, it IS 10 times better, but let's not forget it is still not GOOD. Doesn't mean I will definitely use that increased chance! :D
