For the people arguing about how much of a buff these need to be useful, the NEWLY BUFFED version of the frost shield absorbs 4462 damage. The 405, normal ring Seal of Filial Duty has roughly the same proc rate off fire damage (which can be accomplished passively for all tank classes with crafted gear + additional proc chance from abilities and trinkets) absorbs 43270 damage. That ten times as much guys. On a 405 ring. With secondary stats. Yes the frost effect also has a slight melee attack slow, yes its only one effect from a ring than can stack a few, but I find it hard to believe that makes up for swapping a shield for 43270 plus secondary stats to one for 4462, and that's on the 405 version. The comparison just gets worse for heroic and mythic levels. I think you'd have to buff the effect by closer to 600-700% to get to where you're dropping Seal of Filial Duty for this new ring. When you look at the numbers, releasing this with no secondary stats just seems like a head scratcher. It's going away in 10.1, why make it harder on yourself as a dev to balance the effects so they're powerful enough without stats to be a boost for everyone, but not so powerful that achievements people worked all tier for are now free?
You guys realize those numbers they are showing aren't the actual numbers right? Look at your class guides on this site and go to primordial stones for your class, it'll show the actual numbers. For example freezing ice stone says 3329 dmg on this page but when you look up the actual stone pre buffs, it says like 10k to 3 enemies. Why tf would bliz roll out something that does no dmg and be excited to give it to us? I'm assuming it scales with our secondaries or something. You know like when you read how your builder ability does 8k dmg but in reality it does like 2-4 times that

Swing and a miss.Swing a second time...still miss.Maybe get another batter? z.z
They just need to add stats to the ring like the cobalt ring. Have it so there is not as many stats per ilvl to compensate for all the damage effects
They should have just made this a trinket instead of a ring to avoid the clarity issue of trying to decide whether losing secondary stats is worth it
So many btthurt whiners in here it's making my head spin. Yall must be bored af.
A heroic ring is still better for Restodruids than this... wtf...
