Obviously unintended. Should have a clause to disqualify this type of thing from these types of people.
Fixing spell range would have been a better fix for this... No reason for it to be unlimited...
I like signing up for a pug plus 9 and the tank leader is determined this is the best strat and asks the ragnaros dk to swap to blood and solo the last boss while kill things before the cannons go off making it a complete crap show.
I once did a +20 Freehold and it never occurred to my group to use Harlan's cannon barrage on other mobs because why would it do friendly damage? I feel sad now...

I cant believe about the amount of people whining about fixing an obvious exploit. Never was intended to use boss skills to clear any amount of trash , let alone other bosses. And yes they tend to fix those things around MDI because people watch it and want to replicate it. Every time MDI is around m+ becomes unplayable for a while because every random group wants to do the "MDI strat", done by far more competent and coordinated people than a bunch of randoms. The amount of bricked keys ive seen because of "MDI strats" is too damn high.
Interesting insight about +15, 20 and 25 keys btw, a couple of comments mentioning it was more common practice above 20, because personally I would only ever go for the mount, so I don't ever touch keys higher than 15 (and now that 14 is enough not even that), so I wasn't likely to see that happen, haven't seen it before the fix (even just to kill last boss' trash) but I was still doing fairly low keys compared to the ones required for ksm.Agree though that it's wrong to leave the leaderboard with unbeatable records because of these changes, however I don't see those runs yet on raider io, it's been stuck on max +27 this season, on any dungeon, and now the first +28 timed are starting to appear, I'm guessing it will still go higher than s1 but I don't think this season is very easy compared to most other recent ones.
A better solution was to block the bridge to the last boss until you beat the first three bosses. Now it turned into “fun detected”.
No timer buff? I'm fine with the changes... but why pretend that this just won't make new freehold records impossible halfway through the season?People don't do this strat outside of TGP / MDI / Title range keys.... and changes like this without buffing the timer only screw over that portion of the playerbase.
