Four Encrypted Cinematics Coming in Patch 9.2 Eternity's End

What Could These Cinematics Be?One of the cinematics will likely follow Anduin's defeat at the conclusion of the first week of Sepulcher raiding.

This is a big moment, as our quest to rescue the High King has been a priority since the beginning of the Shadowlands expansion, and we've frequently been told that he is the key to resisting and overcoming the Jailer's domination magic (despite, you know, having both Bolvar and Sylvanas on hand).

Another will probably be a quest cinematic, following our defeat of Anduin, before we go after the Jailer in the second half of the raid.

Continuing the last point, we'll probably unlock a few quests between our encounter with Anduin and Zovaal, in which we prepare to face the Jailer's magic. It would not at all be surprising if Sylvanas and Tyrande feature heavily in this as well, given that we know both have new cinematic models and the three characters definitely have a lot to talk about, some of which we've already found voice files for!

We've also found some new animations of Anduin in his undominated state looking remorseful, which could very well be seen once we finally rescue the kidnapped king.

The shortest cinematic could very well be a mid-raid interlude, transitioning between phases as the Jailer encounter moves to a cosmic level.

Fun to watch the first time and maddening if they cannot be skipped after, mid-raid interludes are actually pretty common even if they haven't always been full fledged cutscenes. Whether it's Ragnaros pulling himself out of the lava to reveal that he skips leg day, or Sylvanas going full banshee on her way to Oribos while the Jailer conjures some helpful chains for us to follow her, these short pauses are meant to give raider's tired hands a break during long encounters, but tend to exasperate time stricken raiders more than anything else.

But you know, they're important to make sure the fight feels appropriately epic!

The longest cinematic is likely to be the finale, following the conclusion of Sepulcher of the First Ones and our final showdown with the Jailer.

Most raid tiers, especially end of expansion encounters, feature lengthy cinematics at the close - from obliterating N'Zoth, to defeating the Burning Legion, and most recently catching Sylvanas, so it is not at all unlikely that the longest cinematic will begin once we defeat the Jailer. What will happen is anyone's guess, though there has been a lot of speculation that the Jailer might succeed in some way, at least enough to awaken the dormant worldsoul inside Azeroth, resulting in some cataclysmic change which brings the game's focus back on our world for the next expansion.
