Patch 10.1.5: Fractures in Time

The Infinite Dragonflight, long-standing enemies of the Bronze dragonflight, have worked hard to see their ultimate goal of triggering the transformation of Nozdormu, the Aspect of Time, into Murazond. This eight-boss Mythic-only mega-dungeon will take players across the timeways to stop the Infinite Dragonflight from succeeding. You’ll face Iridikron and Galakrond, among others, as you work to sustain Azeroth’s timeline and put things to rights once more.

galakrond hype

that giant dragon skull in the Preview looks really awsome

My guess would be we aren't fighting current Iridikron and instead fighting the past version where he ended up getting imprisoned. It would be weird to settle the score with current Iridikron in a dungeon and not a raid.

Comment by Obeliskai

Or we face Iridikron before he was imprisoned originally? That way we could fight him this expansion but NOT deal with him permanently, as I think he will outlast this expansion.

Why Blizzard are trying to ressurect Galakrond? This is very stupid move. It seems the story is written by 4 year-old children. Stop bringing back figures from the past! This is ridiculous. I don't care if the players want to fight Galakrond - such moves are bad for the story when you can bring any figure back...

The real boss was always the ice one, kek.

there's always people that are mad at these kind of things

How are we suposed to fight such a Gigantic Being like Galakrond xD?
We are not half the lenght of a claw of his x'D
But fighting Iridikron this early, either its the past version of him or the Current.
If its the Current one, maybe Nozdormu will become Murozond for the Final boss of the xpac?.

Also love Chromie and her Infinite version in the first pic :p

It seems like that post was written by 4-year-old child.

I mean it wouldn't be the first time we beat really important lore figures not as a focal point of a raid. A lot of the Warlords in Warlords of Draenor were sidelined in either dungeons or fodder bosses of raids (Nerzhul, Kargath, Kilrogg, etc.).

I'm not saying it is a GOOD idea, but it wouldn't be the first time.

No Fyrrak in the megadungeon. I wonder where he's going to land in the expansion.

this mega dungeon is focusing on the past, so obviously he isn't in

Galakrond was multiple times bigger than all other Dragon Aspects COMBINED.

Granted back in those days, these Aspects were Proto Drakes and were not given power of the Aspects yet but still wondering how would they do justice to him in the game. Remember how huge Deathwing was where we ended up literally fighting with his toe nails and those were bigger than us puny humans.

“I don’t care if people want something. I don’t want it and my opinion matters more than what everyone else wants. I also cannot grasp the fact that they are not actually resurrecting him but we’re going to see him in the past, which is already established lore.”

Yeah, but we were not there as well. And this is also established. The grandfather paradox doesn't work that way. Players are not supposed to defeat every-single-bad-boy-in-the-history-of-warcraft that are already dead. And we also are not supposed to stop Nozdormu from becoming Murozond, because his future version ALREADY exists and this is inevitable.

Comment by redfinale

Honestly, beating present iridikron now before the xpac end would be an odd but interesting play. Perhaps despite his swagger, we beat him and he takes the loss with dignity. The other two only know we beat him, thinking we used some bs cunning sneaky underhanded means to win and that infuriates them to the point where they go more razageth levels of reckless, with the coming apocalypse being either death by hellish shadowflame or a global ice age. The combinations of fire and ice have an adverse effect and despite winning, we're left to do deal with some sort of radical climate shift that perhaps unearths another long lost evil that we then have to deal with in 11.x

what part of going back in time don't you get XD nobody is getting ressurected

Comment by Felweed

nice! called this a while back! super thrilled to see the galakrond stuff being in the timey-wimey mega dungeon! but i'm betting my tooshie that we'll see some results in the overworld for sure, especially if we're off chasing the infinite thru these timeways and then BOOM IRIDIKRON TOO! bet he's working with the infinite, silly dragon and his bargains! hope that this is all we do with galakrond tbqh, just let us resolve it in a time dungeon to give us a glimpse of the past where he existed, show the dangers of him, the power hunger that transformed him, and then boom some potential ramifications outside because Iri took a bite off more than he could chew inside and ope now there's even more chaos being spewed when we finish/leading up to 10.2!

Comment by Olympus3129

They aren’t bringing him back SADLY I personally would love it if they did but it’s “the fallout of galakronds demise” which means we aren’t fighting galakrond we are just fighting near his dead body lol
