12 seconds of ranged combat every 3 minutes? Lmao. Kinda useless.

Comment by Aesiria

They really want to give this class everything... sigh.

I am considering the WoD variant and was wrong duration, only really remember people using it brf and genuinely being upset in hfc. Was from 6.0 to 6.1.2

Also bump this spell to 20-25 seconds

Seems that way. Does anyone know where the kitchen sink went?

Comment by Ziyshot

you mean aspect of the eagle for everyone?

Comment by Reanimatez

give it time warp instead

Comment by Zigrifid

At least all those not melee friendly fights (almost all) will be less crappy ^^

Comment by Perrycox

I feel like most people commenting missed the part where this isn't in game

Comment by Setsuna665

wow that would be so awesome combined with feral with boomie affinity. my range would be insane

Comment by ZoomB

This would allow them to make some crazy anti melee mechanics in the upcoming raids

I think this is a cool bit of trivia.... but like picking apart old data and exposing unimplemented designs like this during DF development must be pretty crummy for designers.

Why even make this post at this time, so early in alpha? It's just going to stir people up over something that never even existed...

Hot take inc.

Don't think this is as bad as some people make it seems like with their reactions here. 12 Second Duration, 3 Minute Cooldown. Heavily doubt a whole lot of people outside of a minority would do degen Evoker stacking for this.

Can SLIGHTLY help with downtime windows for Melee a little, which isn't a bad thing for less optimized raid comps down the totem pole.
Could potentially be broken in PvP, if the wrong melee comp suddenly starts running Evoker as a healer and they start bursting from like 35-40 yards away.
They can pick and choose spells affected by this, to reign in any concerns of overpowered interactions.

It.. really doesn't feel like the worst utility addition if this actually would make it into the game, when you think about it critically.

give it time warp instead

Imagine the outcry from mages if they remove time warp from them to give it to Evoker it would be a similar level of outcry as warlocks had after they got their meta "stolen" just so DH could get it later.

But yeah it kinda fits their class seeing that they use bronze dragonflight skills which are known to manipulate time

Comment by MrElite2014

Maybe it could be a buff that isn't given by Evokers, but instead given to Evokers. Maybe it's a buff they were testing that allows Evokers to get the full 40 yard range instead of their mid-range 25 yards for a limited time. But then it was removed because it potentially messed with all the frontal cone abilities. Who knows.
