Speaking to a small conglomerate of various Alliance representatives, Mekkatorque pointed out that the time to strike is now. After all, Thermaplugg has eluded death for years to keep his reign over Gnomeregan; and with the fall of the Lich King, the last great threat to the citizens of Azeroth, the chance of any cataclysmic event taking place in the foreseeable future is "less than 12.7%," Mekkatorque's leading combat medical advisor Doc Cogspin purported.

Also, yes Blizzard is an American company thus goes by Month/Day/Year so 12.7 is December 7th which looking at mmo-champion this very moment pretty much means this date holds water.

An "American company" that is majority owned by a French company, who do use the morecorrect Day/Month/Year.

Admittedly Year/Month/Day is preferable to both.

In the real world it goes Day - Month - Year.

Considering Blizz is the one releasing the game, I'm pretty sure which date format to use, and considering they're an American company, I think it's obvious which format they're going to go for. ;-)

Yeah... Blizzard can use whatever format they want, but, that doesn't change the fact that in the real world it's 07/12 - which is why the rest of the world didn't notice the connection. =P

With all that date-denotation blabbering, you're totality missing the point.

Not just dd-mm-yyyy in europe, but most of the world. america needs to fix their stuff.

Couldn't we just use 3 letter codes for dates? Dec 07 or 07 Dec is wonderfully unambiguous and the sillies could keep their stupid format.

(yay for cata btw)

That is epic.

It truly is.

At work, we use Year - Month - Day for organizational and filing reasons.

Typically, in non-work life, I tend to use Month - Day - Year.

America should get with the rest of the world I agree, day-month-year.

This was from April. My guess is the "less than 12.7%" actually meant a target of before December 7. I can't recall, but back in April the sentiment was likely, "we hope to release it this year." While the Arena evidence is rather compelling, until it's announced, I will continue to assume 11/23.

If they had a release day, wouldn't they just come out and say it?

I'm not gonna get all excited and hyped up until they flat out admit what date it's coming out, but have fun with your "it's MM-DD-YYYY, not YYYY-MM-DD" arguments folks.
