Can we -not- have this system? What is the point of it? What happened to the message at the loading screen to not forget to go outside and play? Because that's just a slap in the face on your own statements in the game, as in"but if you do that (go outside and leave the game for 5 minutes) , you'll fall behind everyone else that's playing the game, so .... :)"This should never be endorsed, it promotes extremely bad habits that can actually mentally damage your playerbase, and when they realize that, you are already losing subs because of the same reason.There is no reason for this to exist, if people have fun doing -content-, then they don't need an artificial inflation to their power just because they have time to play over 10 hours a day. In fact, if it's not grinding and its about people having fun, then why is it there? If the content is so fun, why is this system here? You are having the same fun doing the same dungeon on different expansions, one without AP and the other with AP. Only difference people see is a bar moving up that NEVER gets filled. There are many ways to reward people that play the game a lot, increasing their overall power is a bad one.
I think it scale indefinitely just like how current Artifact Weapon.But that doesn't mean you have to cap it, like Artifact Weapon currently, you just need rank 75 to get all NLC trait, and later for Azerite Neck you just need rank "x" to get all the Azerite armor trait.It however doesn't have cap so you can still kinda "rewarded" even after you unlock all Azerite armor trait.Like right Artifact Weapon right now, you just need rank ~77 (Method's WF argus average AP rank was 76.5) for Mythic first world race. Beyond rank 75 you only get like what, ~0.1% dps increases maybe? lol.For Azerite necklece it'll just add 1 extra ilvl for neck piece, which is ~0.1% dps increases xDHow much of a "grind" is it to get rank 75 right now on Legion? The only reason people hate the "grind" is because it's spec specificAzerite Necklece is shared for all spec.You'll probably need to "grind" to get X rank to unlock all the trait for the current Azerite Armor tierThen when next tier come, you "grind" again to X rank, because the hew Azerite Armor for the new tier will have increased rank requirement.The Azerite Knowledge will work like current AK, which is 1 rank increases per week automatically and globally.I like this systemAzerite Necklace basically what Artifact Power supposed to be in Legion, but sadly it only happen in patch 7.3. So just a quick reminder that this is alpha and these numbers don't show what the final system will be like. I hardly think we will never get passed level 100 (and this is backed by item level and AP required). So chill the freak out because it's not (supposed to be) similar to AP in Legion. The good thing is that what the system is aiming to do is for AP to be always relevant, and the work needed to be more based on slow grinding rather than hard pushes then don't care. But yeah at the end of the day the system is grinding-based since it is supposed to be infinite-ish. This is actually good news since it makes the content virtually always relevant (I know I repeat myself but this is important to stress out).
