Prisión vil

Initially, a fel swirl will appear on the ground where the Prisión vil will form

After two seconds, the fel energy will collapse into a rune that will trigger when any player enters the area

If triggered, a Prisión vil cristalina is created that will stun the triggering player, and any players nearby, for up to 30 seconds

Players must kill the Prisión vil cristalina in order to free an imprisoned ally

When the initial Prisión vil graphic spawns, nearby players should react quickly and run away to avoid triggering the Prisión vil cristalina effect

Socrethar will cast Ejercer Dominancia frequently - approximately every 5 seconds

Successful Ejercer Dominancia casts will reduce the health of the now-friendly Soulbound Construct

While only 3 players are required to interrupt every Ejercer Dominancia cast, the raid may be safer assigning additional players as back-up interrupters

If the Construct reaches 0 health, Socrethar will be able to repossess it, and the raid must defeat it again

Approximately every 50 seconds, the Soul of Socrethar will cast Apocalipsis, dealing raid-wide damage

Healers should use raid cooldowns to survive this damage

The blue portal will spawn Alma acechadoras

The red portal will spawn a Dominador Sargerei

The purple portal will spawn Clamasombras Sargereis

This is a high-priority add, and players should save cooldowns and resources for defeating it.

Immediately upon spawning, the Sargerei Dominator will buff the Soul of Socrethar with Barrera vil

The Barrera vil makes Socrethar immune to interrupts and damage

While Socrethar is protected by the Barrera vil, he will freely cast Ejercer Dominancia

Players must defeat the Sargerei Dominator quickly to remove the Barrera vil and prevent Socrethar from gaining control over the Construct

The Sargerei Dominator is immune to all CC effects, including Prisión vil, and his casts cannot be interrupted

About 5 seconds after spawning, the Sargerei Dominator will cast Regalo de los Man'ari on random targets in the raid

This debuff lasts for two minutes and deals moderate damage to the targeted player and all allies within its radius

Players affected by Regalo de los Man'ari should move out of the raid to avoid splashing the damage

Fijación espantosa

Haunting Souls will pursue their Fijación espantosa targets until killed

Upon reaching their target, the Haunting Souls will cast Persecución virulenta, dealing heavy damage to all nearby players and horrifying them for 8 seconds

In order to avoid this, the targeted players must kite the Haunting Souls either through Prisión vils, to trap them, or over the Residuo de llamarada vil, to slow and damage them

The raid should position themselves near the middle of the room, but on the far side from the blue portal, so that Haunting Souls have a longer path to travel

Note that if the Haunting Souls come near the Soulbound Construct, the Soul will detonate, dealing heavy damage to the Construct with Dispersión de alma

The Shadowcallers' Salva de descarga de las Sombras deals light to moderate damage to all players

Palabra de las sombras: Agonía is applied to two players every 10 seconds, dealing moderate DoT damage

Palabra de las sombras: Agonía can be healed through, but if a player is targeted by another stack of the debuff, it should be dispelled

The Shadowcallers' casts are interruptible, so if there are interrupts to spare, the raid can prevent some of this damage

Ranged DPS, and particularly strong AoE/multi-DoT specs, should focus on killing the Shadowcallers to manage raid damage

Arremetida reverberante: Deals moderate damage and applies 3 stacks of Defensas desarmadas split amongst all the enemies in the effect.

Prisión vil: Creates a trap that will stun Haunting Souls or Sargerei Shadowcallers that enter it. Sargerei Dominators, and the Soul of Socrethar itself are immune. Note that enemies trapped in the Fel Prison will take 99% reduced damage.

Orbe vil volátil: Hurls a felfire orb at the target, detonating to deal damage to all nearby enemies.

While a player is controlling the Soulbound Construct, the Construct is affected by Vinculación incompleta, reducing the damage of all of its abilities by 50%

This prevents the Construct from being able to kill the boss single-handedly, but it will still be the largest source of damage when played correctly

Pull the Soulbound Construct closer to one end of the room and move gradually toward the center as Prisión vils and Residuo de llamarada vil obstacles accumulate

The raid should stack up in Arremetida reverberante to ensure that Defensas desarmadas stacks are evenly split and do not all fall on the tank

Non-tank players who receive the Defensas desarmadas buff should move away from the raid, to a designated location

Once a player's Defensas desarmadas buff wears off, the player should run back to the stack point to be available for the next Arremetida reverberante

If your raid has more than 9 ranged DPS and healers, the melee DPS and off-tank can stay behind the Construct and will not have to soak Arremetida reverberante

Place Residuo de llamarada vil toward the outer edges of the room by running toward a wall when targeted by Ataque de llamarada vil

Avoid detonating Orbe vil volátils on the stack point

One tank will control the Construct while the other tank picks up Socrethar and the Sargerei Dominators

The raid must interrupt as many of Socrethar's Ejercer Dominancia casts as possible; the goal is to avoid transitioning back into Phase 1

Save DPS cooldowns and resources for the Sargerei Dominators, and kill them quickly to reduce the amount of time Socrethar is affected by Barrera vil

Ranged DPS and healers should stack up unless affected by Regalo de los Man'ari, so that all the Haunting Souls will travel in the same path

Ranged DPS should focus on killing the Sargerei Shadowcallers and cleaning up the Haunting Souls if they get too close to the raid

The Soulbound Construct pilot must use the Construct's abilities to assist the raid in managing the large number of adds

Arremetida reverberante/Defensas desarmadas should be cast on the Soul of Socrethar as frequently as possible

Face the Soulbound Construct toward the raid to split the Defensas desarmadas stacks with raid members

The off-tank must stay behind the Soulbound Construct to avoid taking Defensas desarmadas stacks too early, and taunt after the current tank reaches 3 stacks of Defensas desarmadas

Move the Soulbound Construct away from Residuo de llamarada vil or Prisión vils

Use a moderate survivability CD for the second Arremetida reverberante, and a strong one for the third Arremetida reverberante

At the start of Phase 2, one tank should enter the Soulbound Construct, and the other tank should pick up the Soul of Socrethar

Interrupt Ejercer Dominancia and drag the Soul of Socrethar to the red portal

Taunt the Sargerei Dominator when he spawns

Soulbound Construct Responsibilities

One tank should enter the Soulbound Construct at the start of Phase 2

Use Ataque de llamarada vil as soon as possible to create a line of Residuo de llamarada vil from the raid's position to the blue portal, then drop a Prisión vil just in front of the blue portal

Use Orbe vil volátil on the Sargerei Dominator and the Sargerei Shadowcallers

Continue to keep the blue portal supplied with fresh Prisión vils and Residuo de llamarada vil

Remember that the blue and purple portals will swap positions on occasion

Cast Arremetida reverberante on the Sargerei Dominator - be sure it is available the instant the Dominator spawns, for quick damage - and the Soul of Socrethar

Whenever possible, melee the Soul of Socrethar

Stay away from the Haunting Souls to avoid taking Dispersión de alma damage

Damage-Dealer Responsibilities

Stack in front of the Soulbound Construct to split the Defensas desarmadas debuff, and run out of the group once you have gained a stack of Defensas desarmadas

If targeted by Orbe vil volátil, move away from other players and detonate the Orb by intercepting its path

If targeted by Ataque de llamarada vil, run so that the line of Residuo de llamarada vil will not impede the raid's movement

Move out of the large swirly green effect before the Prisión vil spawns

If a player is trapped in a Prisión vil, DPS the Prisión vil cristalina to free them

During Phase 2, save cooldowns and resources to burn the Sargerei Dominators quickly

Interrupt the Soul of Socrethar's Ejercer Dominancia as much as possible

If affected by Regalo de los Man'ari, move away from the raid to avoid splashing damage onto other players

If targeted by the Haunting Souls' Fijación espantosa, kite the Souls over Residuo de llamarada vil patches to slow them

Prioritize the Sargerei Dominator and Shadowcallers over Socrethar, but only kill Haunting Souls if they get too close to the raid

Healer Responsibilities

During Phase 1, use minor raid CDs to heal through Arremetida reverberante damage

Players affected by Poder sobrecogedor will need additional single-target healing

Use external CDs on the tanks for their 2nd and 3rd Arremetida reverberante soaks

During Phase 2, the Soulbound Construct cannot be healed

Use raid CDs to heal through the Soul of Socrethar's Apocalipsis

Players affected by Regalo de los Man'ari will require additional single-target healing

Dispel Palabra de las sombras: Agonía as often as possible

If affected by Regalo de los Man'ari, move away from the raid to avoid splashing damage onto other players

Ráfaga vil apocalíptica deals fatal damage to players standing directly beneath it

It also deals heavy damage to all players in the raid, mitigated by distance from the Felburst's landing zone

Note that the Felburst spawning graphic is shared with the Prisión vil graphic, and either spell can be cast on the melee

Players must quickly move out of the Ráfaga vil apocalíptica impact zone, but it is not necessary to move more than 10-15 yards away

The Soulbound Construct retains this ability after players take control of it, and it can be used against the adds in Phase 2

Socrethar summons the Voracious Soulstalker at a random player's position; a dark purple swirling effect appears at the spawn point a few seconds beforehand

Once summoned, the Voracious Soulstalker will fixate on the nearest target, casting Hambre eterna on the fixated player

Once locked on to a target, the Soulstalker will pursue it tirelessly, casting Devorar continuously in a small cone in front of it

Any player within the Devorar effect will suffer fatal damage

The Soulstalker gains Rastreador ensangrentado while it pursues its target, gradually increasing its movement speed

When the Soulstalker's fixate target dies, if the Soulstalker is stunned, or when the Soulstalker reaches 50% health, it will reset its Rastreador ensangrentado stacks and re-cast Hambre eterna on the nearest target

At 50% health, the Soulstalker buffs itself with Voluntad indomable, becoming immune to Stun effects, and begins to cast the uninterruptible Regeneración de alma, healing itself to full before resuming its Hambre eterna fixate

Because Voracious Soulstalkers have the Contingencia de Socrethar debuff, these adds can be quickly killed early in Phase 2 by the player-controlled Soulbound Construct

Voracious Soulstalkers do not appear to take quadruple damage from Ráfaga vil apocalíptica, but they take very heavy damage from the Soulbound Construct's melee and Arremetida reverberante effects

The strategy allows players to focus all their damage onto the Soulbound Construct to end Phase 1 more quickly

However, it does keep players occupied with kiting duties, and requires a lot of coordination of stun effects

Prisión vil

While stunned by the Prisión vil effect, Soulstalkers are unable to cast their Voluntad indomable/Regeneración de alma abilities

The first Prisión vil is spawned approximately 50 seconds into the fight, so the designated kiting player will need to use stuns and speed-enhancing effects to stay alive until the Prison has formed

The friendly Soulbound Construct can continue to cast traps on the two Soulstalkers for the remainder of the fight

For Shattered Defenses, the written part of the guide says it increases damage from Reverberating Blows by 100%, yet the text says it increases damage by 200%.

6/27 - Updated the portal swapping information, the Dominator timing, and removed the bit about Shadowcallers being immune to traps since that got hotfixed recently.

Adding this here as a comment because it's how my group did it, and it seemed to work very well, but I'm sure other groups have methods that work well too.

Phase 2: Construct and Adds Management (Updated for 6/30 Dominator spawn hotfix)

The goal of this strategy is to make it effortless to kill the adds and to preserve health on the Construct.

At the start of phase 2, we pulled Socrethar to the red portal, so that when the Dominator popped out, we could start damaging him right away.

We had the ranged stack on melee, except for the players with Gift of the Man'ari.

The Construct would use Felblaze Charge along the imaginary line drawn from the red portal to the blue portal. This positioning meant that ghosts coming out of the portal would have to travel all the way down this fire line, getting slowed and taking damage the whole way.

He would continue to drop fire along this path so that the ghosts were basically killed by the fire.

At the very start of the phase, though, he'd also put a Fel Prison over there. That's because there wasn't enough fire yet to kill the ghosts outright (or get them super low). Subsequent fire lines have to start closer to red portal and end further from blue portal to avoid the Construct going through ghosts and taking Soul Dispersion damage.

The portals swap sometime after the 4th ghost spawn. So once the 4th set spawns, the Construct can stop putting fire along the existing red->blue line, and wait to see where the new red and blue will be.

When portals swap, the raid can again drag Socrethar to the New Red Portal, so that DPS can immediately pounce on the Dominator when he comes out.

Again, the Construct would trap the first set of ghosts from New Blue Portal, giving the raid time to get the Dominator killed and get into position.

With this tactic, phase 2 felt very controlled! We only rarely had to divert our DPS onto the ghosts, and whenever they approached we could just use knockbacks, Ursol's Vortex, stuns, etc., to make sure the ghosts never reached their targets.

We had multi-dotters/ranged swapping off of Socrethar and onto the Shadow-callers when they got near. And players with Gift of the Man'ari would stand between red and purple portals, so that if they were targeted by ghosts, the ghosts would have to cross through the raid to get to them, and hopefully would pass over most of the fire line.

6/30 - Updated the Sargerai Dominator spawn timer to reflect the recent hotfix. Two Sargerai Dominators will now spawn during each portal phase, and raids will have to deal with a Dominator every minute.

7/5 - The Sargerei Dominator now casts Gift of the Man'ari much earlier, so raids can't kill him quickly and avoid the mechanic outright. Looks like it's about 5 seconds after he spawns.

Also made improvements to the Reverberating Blows/Shattered Defenses section, and updated the Mythic guide based on logs of Mythic Socrethar kills.

In LFR, the construct does not have all the abilities. Specifically the Fel Prison and Felblaze Charge. This actually makes the fight harder in LFR than in Normal.
