How to Unlock BFA World Quests

Unlock all three footholds as part of the Alliance or Horde War Campaigns.

Hit Friendly with the 3 major Kul Tiras (if Alliance)/Zandalar (if Horde) factions, in the quest La unificación de Kul Tiras/La unificación de Zandalar.

At level 50 after completing the unlock requirements, world quests appear in all Battle for Azeroth zones: Canal de Tiragarde, Drustvar, Valle Canto Tormenta, Zuldazar, Nazmir, Vol'dun. This will also award the handy teleport item Silbato del maestro de vuelo.
If you already have your Flight Master's Whistle from Legion, these quests will upgrade your whistle to work in Kul Tiras and Zandalar.

On the front-page "Today in Battle for Azeroth" section, you will see what Emissary quests are up.

On the navigation bar under Tools -> World Quests, you can see every single World Quest that is active as well as item rewards. You can filter by reputation and quest types. Just select BFA or Legion, and your region, to display the data.

Starting a World Quest

When you mouseover the map at the flightmaster, a tooltip will appear summarizing how many World Quests are in a particular zone.

Zooming in on the flightmaster path shows which quests are near each flightpath.

The world map also displays what quests are in each zone.

To start a World Quests, simply travel to the relevant area--the quest will automatically pop up, similar to bonus objectives in Warlords of Draenor.

To decide which World Quests to complete, look at the tooltips to determine if the difficulty and rewards are worth it, as well as what faction you want to earn reputation with.

Types of World Quests

Purple "!" With Dragon Border: This world quest involves a World Boss.

Blue Skull With Dragon Border: This world quest involves a group and a dungeon.

Blue "!" With Dragon Border: This is a world quest that involves a group to kill a rare elite mob.

Normal "!" With a Dragon Border: This is a world quest involves a small group 2-3 people to kill a less deadly elite mob.

Normal "!": This is a world quest that is solo-able.

Profession Marker: This is a world quest that involves your profession. The quests which reward top-tier reagents roughly spawn every three days.

Green Paw Marker: This world quest involves pet battling.

Rewards and Description

Champions of Azeroth World QuestsCampeones de Azeroth

Champions of Azeroth World Quests spawn in both Kul Tiras and Zandalar, and involve dealing with Azerite in one way or another.

This can range from using your Corazón de Azeroth to heal Azeroth's wounds, to killing elites using Azerite to empower themselves.

Champions of Azeroth World Quests, as well as the Champions of Azeroth emissary, will always award either items that grant Azerite, or Alijo de armadura de azerita, which will grant you an Azerite piece of gear.

Cabecera de playa puts you into a vehicle where you need to help baby turtles reach the sea by shooting down seagulls and crabs that want to eat them.

¡Guía a Loh! puts you into a small race-kind minigame where you need to guide a turtle through a maze and hit checkpoints without crossing the same area twice.

Gold, items that grant Azerite Power, 25-50 Recursos bélicos, ilvl 60+ gear

Profession quests will also reward profession skill-ups.

Battle Pet quests have a chance to reward stones and pet charms.

Elite quests tend to have better rewards than regular quests.

World Quest rewards are not unique to World Quests; they are also found through other means like dungeon bosses. In addition, each quest does not correlate to one specific reward; they are further randomized and multiple quests on a particular day can have the same reward.

Scaling Item Rewards

By default, World Quest rewards are ilvl 60.

As your item level increases, you will find gear with higher ilvl rewards. You can have multiple World Quests up with different ilvl rewards at the same time. The average ilvl of the rewards will increase based on the ilvl of your gear in your inventory.

Reputation

All quests state which faction they award reputation with in the tooltip. Each zone is associated with a particular faction.

Champions of Azeroth World Quests award reputation for the Campeones de Azeroth and the faction associated with that zone. For example, the world quest Potenciamiento de azerita gives reputation with Champions of Azeroth, as well as Estela de la Tormenta for Alliance characters (since it happens in Stormsong Valley), and Los Honorables for Horde characters (since it happens in Kul Tiras).
The same logic is also applied to Buscadores tortollanos World Quests.

Emissary Quests and Rewards

See what Emissary is active by opening up your map.

Each Emissary goes away after 3 days. So you don't need to worry about logging on every day or else you'll miss the Emissary.

You can have up to 3 Emissary Quests at once to complete.

Clicking on the Emissary icon will highlight the relevant World Quests.

Campeones de Azeroth: turned in with Magni Barbabronce in Silthus. Quests found on both Kul Tiras and Zandalar and involve interaction with Azerite.

Buscadores tortollanos: turned in with Coleccionista Tojo in Zuldazar or Stormsong Valley. Quests found on both Kul Tiras and Zandalar and involve several puzzles.

Alliance:
Almirantazgo Valiente: turned in to Proveedora Fray. Quests found in Tiragarde Sound.

Orden de las Ascuas: turned in to Intendente Alcorn. Quests found in Drustvar.

Estela de la Tormenta: turned in to Hermana Lilyana. Quests found in Stormsong Valley.

Esfuerzo de guerra de la Alianza: turned in to Vindicadora Jaelaana. Quests found in Zandalar, gives La Séptima Legión reputation.

Horde:

Imperio zandalari: turned in to Natal'hakata. Quests found in Zuldazar.

Expedición de Talanji: turned in to Proveedora Lija. Quests found in Nazmir.

Voldunai: turned in to Acaparadora Jena. Quests found in Vol'dun.

War Effort Advancements

Tier 1:
Hoguera del navegante - Reduces the cooldown of your Hearthstone by 40% while in Kul Tiras and Zandalar.

Will I have to unlock world quests separately on alts, or is it account-wide like in Legion?

I have done all of the things posted in this guide.

At level 120, max level, world quests appear in all Battle for Azeroth zones: Tiragarde Sound, Drustvar, Stormsong Valley, Zuldazar, Nazmir, Vol'dun.

You must also complete the first steps of the Alliance or Horde War Campaigns and hit Friendly with the 3 major Kul Tiras (if Alliance)/Zandalar (if Horde), in the quest Uniting Kul Tiras/ Uniting Zandalar. This will also award the handy teleport item Flight Master's Whistle.

I am honored with all 3. factions. I have done all the intro quests on kul'tiras (I am horde) I have gotten all three followers.

No clue how I unlock them...

On the Wowhead map Pedido: Encantar anillo: Sello de celeridad is showing as active but I cannot see it in game, anyone else having the same? On Horder, got around 50 BFA enchanting and WQs unlocked

For those who are looking on how to unlock the World Quests on alternative characters, once you reach level 120 you will be asked to go to your Ship and turn In a quest, upon completion it will reward you with the Whistle and Unlock World Quests for your character.

What is the max ilvl at which gear rewards stop scaling with you?

This is accurate for your first character to obtain 120, but I believe that alts will not have to do this. I have a 120 main, and my first alt hit 120, without finishing all 3 foothold quest chains, and still was able to open worlds quests with just the Friendly reps.

What does a blue ! with NO dragon wreath mean? It seems to mean it is just a quest where you kill one certain mob. Yes/No?

No mention of the Work Orders which seem to offer variable rewards, some give gold and some rep (but not much). So beware!

"Scaling Item Rewards
To keep World Quests interesting, the ilvl of item rewards will increase based on your current ilvl.

By default, World Quest rewards are ilvl 295.
As your item level increases, you will find gear with higher ilvl rewards. You can have multiple World Quests up with different ilvl rewards at the same time. The average ilvl of the rewards will increase based on the ilvl of your gear in your inventory.

In addition, World Quest rewards, like all other loot in Battle for Azeroth, have a chance to receive an ilvl boost via +5 ilvl increments. Small boosts are called Warforged, while larger ilvl boosts are called Titanforged.

Once an item is acquired, it will not scale up if your item level increases."

so if the is true. why would it still be showing me 320 ilvl gear even though i have just about every piece of gear at 340. with warfront gear we are able to get easily now.

I'd like to note that the list of World Quests active right now is either ahead, behind, or inaccurate. I found that the quests: "Quelling the Cove", "Scamps with Scrolls", and "Herding Children". On the maps, they show as 7th Legion rep, which would mean they are available to Alliance as well as Horde. If not, I'm assuming its just Blizz giving the horde more item reward quests for things that Alliance hasn't seen in weeks?

For those that are curious, if you have unlocked World Quests on a character (ie are friendly with the three main factions, unlocked the three footholds, and are 120) you will not need to do these again on an alt. Simply hit 120 and go to your factions boat and the quest that unlocks World Quests will be available irregardless of your alts current progress through the war campaign.

For those worried about alts meeting the requirements to unlock world quests: I completed this quest on a fresh 120 alt that had zero progression towards warfront, and was still neutral with 1 zone (Talanji's expedition)

You only need to do the full quest completion on your main character. Alts can run right to Nathanos for activating world quests.

Is there any sort of cycle/pattern to the profession WQs? So far, Nazjatar has had the alch dailies up all together in a row, but I haven't seen any in the base BFA zones (Stormsong, etc). Nazjatar has a new one daily but seems less frequent outside of that. Enchanting and some of the other gathering professions have been up over the week but that seems like it.

It would be immensely helpful if there was some sort of information on where certain quest chains can be started for unlocked individual world quests. For example the Ranishu Feeding Frenzy. I've flown around that area for 15minutes now and can't find any quests pertaining to it.

WTF does 'unlock' mean? finish Secrets in the Sand ? Run 8 quests in the zones? 100 quests? all quests?

Be aware that your alts need to have the Heart of Azerite Neck in order to get the quest that unlocks world quests from Wyrmbane (Uniting Kul Tiras, in the Alliance case).

So as of 10.0.2. (phase two of Dragonflight pre-patch) entirety of BfA content scales up to 60 (to accomodate streamlined first-time leveling experience for new player accounts). You can no longer access BfA world quests at level 50.

Edit: If you have unlocked BfA world quests with previous alts before patch 10.0.2. you can still access them and you can do emissaries. (Just checked my characters).

Unlock WQs for your Horde Alts in Zuldazar (in TWW)

Short: Get the Heart of Azeroth - Free Princess Talanji (skip) - Welcome to Zuldazar (with Talanji) - Unite Zandalar (Nathanos)

Your Alt needs to have the Heart of Azeroth (if you have it Skip to the next part)(Some Alts don't need the Heart - skip to part 3):
1. Travel to Dazar'alor (Zuldazar) using the portal in Orgrimmar, fly up to the Pyramid and accept the Quest A Dying World from the Earthen Guardian next to the Pyramid Entrance (You have to have Lowe-Level-Quests active to see it)
2. Travel to Silithus (via Thunderbluff if you don't have the portal in Zuldazar yet) and complete The Heart of Azeroth then Infusing the Heart
(Note: If you don't see Magni where his ? is, make sure you don't have the intro Quest from TWW active at the same time. Else you'll have to do a detour to Dornogal and come back to see Magni on the little plattform OR cancel the intro Quest from TWW)

You have your heart :
3. Accept Battle for Azeroth: Mission Statement from Magni (or Nathanos if you didn't need to go to Silithus)

4. Accept the Quest The Stormwind Extraction and talk to Nathanos in the Hut to skip it (do NOT grab the flask on the table! Else the quest starts and you have to abandon it to be able to skip it)
5. Once you end up in Zuldazar, accept and complete Welcome to Zuldazar from Princess Talanji.

6. Directly Head to the Ship in the Harbor and talk to Nathanos to unlock World Quests with Uniting Zandalar

Go back to Boralus talk to Halford Wyrmbane on the Alliance
ship in Boralus.

the quest right there and bang WQ are open and a fancy
