The range is so short that you'll probably won't be able to use it on even the closest player if he's moving, i'm hugely disappointed.
First those mushrooms whit no use, since their damage is increadibly weak and 'cause it takes more then 1-2 secs to slow your enemies when you detonate them, and now this skills which has no use both for party/raid and the druid itself (since we already have 30% speed).
Why did the other classes got some amazing skills while we'll hardly use this once 'til the next expansion?

And yeah, it was intended to be a QQ message :P

Easily the best way to get your teammates out into the BG from WSG, AV, and others like it where they can mount faster. Thus why "Stampeding roar" it isn't good for much else, sadly.

Arena Situation:

Team LoS'ing the opponents
You initiate with Stampeding roar
Your entire arena team gets the buff
You go invis and receive the full potential of the buff
Profit

This might be useless in some scenarios, but then again some abilities are next to useless in arena.

This can also be used to initiate an encounter for the melee group. The tank and melee group will reach the boss faster that way.

I was thinking about how useless this ability is. In my opinion, one of the most outstanding traits contributing to its uselessness is the very short effective range. It made me curious about the ranges of some other class' roar/shout/screech/scream buffing abilities. After conducting a little research, I wished to place some numbers and links here for comparison:

These abilities of other classes, better still pets of other classes, seem to be far more beneficial to players across the board, yet their ranges are far more substantial than that of the druid's roar.

In the interest of making this ability worthy of having to wait until level 83 to obtain it, I ask that you consider increasing the effective range so that more players can benefit from this ability occasionally. I believe we should be able to roar just as well as any hunter's pet.

Posted a list of comparable shouts/roars of other classes below. Why is ours 10 Yards and everyone else's 30, 45, even 100 Yards?

You guys really need to stop bashing this spell. Sure it isn't the best move that druids could get, but kitties and bears have enough buttons to press. Plus, with the buffs to it and the loss of powershifting out of movement imparing effects last patch, as well as the ability to use it in stealth, this ability is rather useful. Its only a few gold, if you are not going to pick it up, you are only making things harder on yourself.

This skills has some PvE use. In Grim Batol, we are clumped together at the boss's huge AoE (I can't remember the name) and must make it to the corruptors asap. A good StR lets the entire group get there faster. I also successfully used it in Baradin hold during the boss's AoE fire. With the movement impairment break that it has now, I use it in case I miss a static cling in Vortex pinnacle (I also shifted, so it may have just been that though, I need to try again) and the group can get to the barrier faster. So it is like a movement impairing break for myself that also helps those around me. I haven't tried it in PvP though.

You also ask why the range is not longer. I agree that it could be a bit bigger, but if it were too large, that just might be a bit overpowered with the movement impair break. Not sure about that though.

Too bad they made PVP vehicles immune to this ability's effects. It was already a mediocre ability - giving demos in Strand of the Ancients or Isle of Conquest a little speed boost was one of the few situations where it was actually pretty useful. :/
