It should be important to note that while this is still in beta testing, there is no self cleanse snare removal, this ability replaces it (they were going to move self cleanse to a glyph)

This ability is currently available to all specs, an upgrade from cataclysm where only retribution had access to this mechanic outside of hand of freedom.

Time will tell if it remains this way at launch.

Either way, this will give holy much more mobility in arena outside of hand of freedom (which should be saved for your buddies, no more HOPING they know how to peel!)

ret pallys also have a Clense ability and if you upgrade it fully with ret talent points you can remove 1 movement imparing effect

Although it has a higher mana cost, this has no CD as apposed to HoF (as of the time I type this), making this more useful in PVE (movement impairs aren't usually applied to one person multiple times over a short period e.g. Arcurion) or to stop discouraging shout from slowing down your frostweave farming.

Since now dispells like cleanse have 8 second cooldown and remove all negative effects ret paladins will get this ability to deal with movement impairing effects, just note that holy and protection paladins don't have acess to this ability

This ability, like that granted from taking the 'Acts of Sacrifice' talent in Cataclysm, seems to prioritize snares. It's mana cost was recently bumped down from a hefty 25% Base Mana to 15% Base Mana. Still, it's hardly spammable.

The spell's visual is pretty bland - being a momentary display of the generic Holy Spell casting visual (i.e. the casting visual of the casted Paladin heals).

Though the description says "Unshackles your spirit, freeing you from one movement impairing effect", there are certain movement impairing effects that this does not free you from.

One example of such an effect is 石化詛咒, which is not a stacking debuff and was not applied with any other effect. Hand of Freedom also fails to remove this effect. In fact, the rotating orange circle effect from Hand of Freedom does not even show up at the paladin's feet until this debuff expires.

I am not sure what the reasoning is behind these skills not working on some effects, but this inconsistency can be annoying and sometimes deadly when Emancipate and Hand of Freedom fail for no reason.
