Greyhoof's located next to a tree in the Wild Plains a little NW of Nesingwary's (coords approximately 25, 78). He has 4207hp.
As a beast, I found him to be easier than his aquatic counterparts, especially with how much damage mechanicals do and how awesome their passive is. A combination of Mini Thor's Rocket Launch and Toxic Smoke got him down to ~700 before going down. I finished him off with my Guardian Cub's Roar + 2 Reckless Strikes. Didn't even have to use my third pet.

I used my Dragon Kite to create the weather effect Lightning Storm, then my Clockwork Gnome to build turrets. Each shot from the turrets did an extra 25% mechanical damage, making short work of this beast.

Wild golden or jade hatchlings are really good against this one if you don't have a mechanical. Because of Lightning storm and the fact their tail sweep hits twice so double triggers it. Mine took this down to 25% alone.

Ok, so, I found a rather humorous combination of pets that can be used to defeat ANY Beast of Fable. Here's the jist.
You need to start with a pet that can cast Sunlight (
日光
). Cast Sunlight and swap to your next pet.
Your second pet needs to have Life Exchange (
生命交換
). Attack a few times then cast it. Do NOT try to push the damage so low that it gets risky; use it when you hit half health or so.
Finish with any pet that can use Predatory Strike (
掠食攻擊
). Obviously you want to use this ability whenever the opponent is under 25% health.
----------------------------------
So how does this strategy work? It exploits the insanely high health of the beasts of fable and uses it against them. Sunlight will increase their health and your health by 50%. This means that Life Exchange, which caps out at your max health, can hit 50% harder. Most pets with this ability seem to have 1400 health, which means that with Sunlight, Life Exchange will hit for 2100. The Beasts of Fable have about 4200 health; with Sunlight, that means they'll be down to roughly 2100/6300 (it'll vary a bit from beast to beast). That means if you can do roughly 500 extra damage to the enemy sometime during the fight, they'll be under 25% health and be one-shottable by Predatory Strike, as 1500-1600 health will still be killable by the strike. Note in many cases it also may be possible for the second pet to simply beat the enemy to death on their own; this is just a generic thing.
There are two things you need to watch out for. First, on pets that heal, you'll need to make sure the enemy is low enough, and it'll take a few extra hits. Not a big deal, just be aware of it. It's obviously very essential that the enemy be under 25% when you use Predatory Strike; if they're just a bit high, you'll be in for a harder fight. Second, watch out for pets that Burrow/Dive/BeaverDam/block your attacks in some way. Life Exchange and Predatory Strikes are essential abilities that can't be allowed to miss, so against enemies that have a potential to block these, be careful.
-----------------------------
There are a LOT of options for pets with these abilities, and almost anything will work. However, I like
1) For the first pet, my personal preference is
守護巨龍之魂
(though
恐怖菜頭
works, and I'm sure almost everyone will have it). It doesn't matter much, but he can open with Surge of Light for a little bit of free damage, taking some load off my second pet; no other pet with Sunlight has a good, hard-hitting ability that only takes one turn.
2) My preference for the second pet is
虛空精靈龍
or
精龍寶寶
(the same thing, other than perhaps stats). This is probably your most important pet to choose well, since he'll be the only one doing actual combat. Higher health is better if you have the choice.
迷你斬靈者
works as well, but he doesn't really have a good choice for spammable attacks; you need to either use a weak attack or one that locks you into doing nothing else for 3 turns. With the dragons, you can Arcane Blast and then Life Exchange whenever you want. As another minor perk, the dragons will get their +50% damage buff when the target goes under 25% health, giving you an indication they're ready to be hit with Predatory Strike.
3) My preference for the final pet is
https://www.wowhead.com/mop-classic/item=31760
. There are a ton of pets with Predatory Strike, and any will work. However, there's a good chance your Flyer will get hit under 50% health (due to Sunlight) before they can attack and lose his speed buff. Speed is your friend; you don't need to hit hard, you just need to hit before the enemy can Burrow/heal/whatever. Miniwing is EXTREMELY fast, so he should always go first. That being said, there are other fast Flyers too, but this one is just my preference.

Lil' XT
can almost solo this by using
Heartbroken
to do double damage. Open with
XE-321 Boombot
, then use to Heartbroken, then
Zap
until Lil' XT is dead. Lil' XT should live long enough that the Boombot will also hit for double damage.

Almost soloable with Clockwork Gnome, using Metal Fist, Repair and Building Turret. Start by building a turret, then Repair straight afterwards. Build another turret as the cool down will be off then continue to use MF and BT when it's off cool down.
Had my Cogblade Raptor as back up with his beast attacks at the ready.
Good luck!

Beat with Anubisath Idol, Crab and XT. Idol didn't last as long as prepatch but he still managed to land 2 demolishes. Swapped to XT, popped bombbot and swapped to crab to throw up whirlpool. Greyhoof was too enraged for my crab to be a tank so any pet at all with a 3 round move would do in place of a crab, a undead with haunt, anything. Once the crab popped whirlpool I went back to XT and lived long enough for bombbot and whirlpool to land.

I managed to take this guy down in one attempt. I know part of this was RNG, I've been wiped out by most of the other elites.
I used:
Alpine Foxling (25 rare) for the Dazzling Dance speed boost, and the damage buff from Howl. I cast these two and then swapped out
Clockwork Gnome (does more damage to beasts),
I used Metal Fist, then Launch Rocket this got him low enough to nuke him with the next pet.
After my gnome was dead, I swapped the fox back in for another howl.
Tranquil Mechanical Yeti was able to finish him off with his Ion Cannon. When in doubt, nuke it from orbit.

EASY WIN
I led with Spite Darter or Nether Faerie whichever you have. I use slicing wind until I feel one more hit would kill me then I used Life Exchange. Cut his health in half. On my next and last move I popped up the tornado and let it roll around.
I then went to my Clockwork Gnome and hit him with the two move Rocket ability. Did about 500 damage. I then just used the Fist ability until I died.
In came my last pet Personal World Destroyer and I hit him with Screeching Gears and it was all over. Down goes Greyhoof!
WINNING!

EASY WIN
I led with rare Wildhammer Gryphon Hatchling and used my flock ability to demolish his defense. Once he killed my poor Gryphon I switched to my rare Moth. Any moth will do. I hit him with Moth Dust which inflicts MASSIVE damage due to the weak defense thanks to my poor Gryphon. I have one shot him with moth dust but sometimes it leaves a little bit of health. Easy cleanup though because you still have full life on your second and third pets. Which in my case were both moths.

I realized that although Humanoids take less damage from him Humanoid abilities sucked against him.
I needed to find Humanoids with non Humanoid abilities.
I decided upon Anubisath Idol x 3 with Demolish & Rupture - Mechanical & Elemental damage respectively.
It worked like a charm, Rupture even stunned him once & demolish hit him like a truck when It hit but even with some misses he still went down.

Use a wolf with
炫光之舞
and
嚎叫
- Alphine Foxling Kit for example.
Start off with the dazzling dance, and cast howl before you go down.
Switch in any pet with
毀壞
- For example Anubisath Idol. If it hits it will hit for roughly 1300-1700 with the damage buff given from Howl. One further hit from is usually enough to win the fight.

So I found a rather interesting quirk to the way the Beasts of Fable damage reduction buff works that can be exploited to make basically any beast of fable fairly easy to kill. This is a generic strategy for all beasts and may have to be slightly adapted for each individual beast, but I'll include specifics where I think is necessary.
The main aspect to this trick is that if you place a +100% damage buff on the target (such as
嚎叫
), you would think that the Beast would take "normal" damage, because the damage taken is doubled from Howl and then cut in half from the beast of fable buff. However, the effects apparently add, not multiply; as a result, the Beast will end up taking +50% damage when these two buffs add together. This is a huge increase in the damage taken over what you'd expect, and as such, ANY sort of +100% damage buff from abilities like
嚎叫
,
群聚攻擊
, etc. are extremely powerful.
Now, for the specifics. For a simple team that can take out anything, I recommend using at least 2 of
克羅米尼斯
, and then some other 3rd pet (which could be a 3rd Chrominius, but may be better as something else, which I'll go into later). If you go Howl + Surge of Power with Chrominius, it will do over 1100 damage. This means that if you do this with 2 Chrominius in a row, the Beast will die no matter who it is except for the healers. Against Beasts that don't hit as hard, you could go Howl + Bite + Surge, but there's little reason to do this against Beasts that won't heal since they'll die in the process anyway, and if you fail to cast the Surge of Power before dying you will have some other issues.
There are three Beasts that can heal, and this provides a bit of a problem to the strategy, but you can adjust. It should be noted that these Beasts won't get many opportunities to heal. Your strategy revolves around doing VERY high damage per turn, so they'll usually only get off 1 or at most 2 heals before the fight is over.
1) Dos Ryoga: This fish is often the hardest Beast for most people to beat. When using Chrominius, I recommend going Howl + Bite + Surge instead of just Howl + Surge. Dos Ryoga does hit hard, but he has a lot of abilities that avoid doing damage for a turn, so you'll usually have time to use all three of these abilities. Try to include a Flyer with
掠食攻擊
on your team. This ability hits pretty hard to begin with and will be fairly effective for finishing off the low-health Ryoga after your second Chrominius dies. Furthermore, if you ever find yourself in a situation where a Chrominius dies while there's still a turn of Howl left on Dos Ryoga (a fairly common occurence), always swap in the bird next and then use Predatory Strike. This will cause Dos Ryoga to take more damage than a Surge of Power, even if he's not under 25% health.
2) Nitun: This racoon isn't as hard as Dos Ryoga, but he is a little more random. One of the issues you may find yourself in is that against your first Chrominius, he may open with Prowl + Devour, which will cause him to heal all of the damage that Chrominius does. The trick as odd as it sounds is, don't try to outsmart him. Just go Howl Bite Surge on each of your Chrom's. If your first Chrom dies and there's still a turn of Howl up, you'll want to go Bite Howl Bite Surge, and this should kill Nitun before he can heal again. The nice thing here is that Bite is strong against Nitun to begin with, so while he's random, you can often just overpower the RNG with massive damage.
3) Lucky Yi: This cricket is quite easy in this strat, I include it only for completeness. He'll keep healing, but he doesn't hit all that hard and he's weak to Bite. Just do the Howl Bite Surge combo over and over and he'll die pretty easy.

Level 21 Scourged Whelpling (Common)
Level 25 Brilliant Kaliri (Rare)
Level 25 Effervescent Glowfly (Rare)
Opened with Call Darkness and kept the Whelpling in until it died (after using Plagued Blood once, and spammed Shadowflame.
Swapped to Kaliri when it died, Darkness will still be up, and use Nocturnal Strike. Shrieked to lower incoming damage, then peck until Nocturnal comes off CD
Closed the fight after the Kaliri died with Glowing Toxin, then Cocoon Strike, and spamming slicing wind/reapplying Glowing Toxin when it runs out.

Most comments are pointing to a specific pet that most of us dont have. You need pets that can survive for 4-5 rounds at least.
Mechanical
pets with beast damage are really useful with their passive skill that comes back to life after getting killed, same as
undead
pets combined with pets that have poison or skill that can avoid damage for at least 1 round.
Strategy on fighting elite pets depends on your available pets so your best bet is to try all the combination as possible.

Second I used a lvl 25 uncommon Cockblade Raptor doing Overtune, Batter, Batter. Died, revived and got killed right away. But his health was at 505 by now.
Third I used a lvl 25 Oily Slimeling with Expunge, Corrosion , Absorb, Absorb. That finished him.

5.3 made this guy suck. I tried to burn him using howl and other attacks, didn't work. I tried moths, didn't work. I tried the apocolypse method, didn't work. What finally did it for me was using two clockwork gnomes. I put up turrets every time it was off cd and used metal fist as fillers. The turret damage didn't seem to be much, like 30hp a hit, but it adds up. When my first gnome died, Greyhoof was close to 700hp andwhen I put my second gnome in I had a turret up right away. The damage from the turrets + the metal fist worked phenomenally. I didn't even use my third pet. I am not usually a fan of using two of the same pets in fights, but it's the only thing that worked for me.

Just thought I would give some help on how to solo this thing. I do the fabled pandaren quests daily for the pet supplies (good money selling them if I get them!).
Anyway, I solo this constantly with Lil' Bling and add any other random mechanics in my team just in case.. my rotation usually is...
Inflation > Make It Rain > Inflation
This is usually enough for a solo kill, however I put 2 mechanical pets in just to be safe since sometimes it can crit hugely or Make It Rain can suck balls.
Either way, Lil' Bling is greyhoofs worst nightmare :)

Strategy to down him easily:
Use Sunreaver micro-sentry in round 1 and use Call Lightning.
Swap to Clockwork Gnome and use Build Turret.
Metal Fist until your gnome is dead.
Swap back to Sunreaver. Fel Immolate until dead.
Use any other mechanical to finish him off.

Any pet with Call Lightning combined with Lil' Bling should do it

Beasts of Fable
The most effective team I've found so far for all of the beasts is
未誕生的華爾琪
,
克羅米尼斯
and a backup of your choice. You should finish the fight within about 5-7 rounds. However, try to pick a good backup for each beast in case RNG is not on your side and you need a couple of extra attacks.
Start with your
未誕生的華爾琪
and cast
厄運詛咒
. Follow up with
暗影斬擊
and then
邪惡飛升
.
* You may be able to do an extra
暗影斬擊
but do
NOT
do more than 4 rounds (
厄運詛咒
,
暗影斬擊
(x2),
邪惡飛升
). If you are killed the round that you do
邪惡飛升
and you have an extra cast use
暗影斬擊
.
Don't swap your pet out manually as you will lose a turn.
Swap in
克羅米尼斯
once
未誕生的華爾琪
is dead. Start off with
嚎叫
. Next use
能量奔騰
.
厄運詛咒
will hit with both
嚎叫
and
邪惡飛升
up (either after
嚎叫
or
能量奔騰
; doesn't matter). This should kill him, but if not, when
克羅米尼斯
dies swap in your backup and finish him up. If
克羅米尼斯
doesn't die after recharging,
撕咬
until either you or the beast is dead before you switch.
Special note about
『漫遊者』提恩
: You will need your backup pet
most
of the time due to the mitigated damage from
甲殼護盾
.
吉爾尼斯烏鴉
is a good choice of backup but any will work; you shouldn't need more than 1-2 extra hits anyway.
** Edited to rephrase for all beasts. **

At 5.4 fastest way to put him down is with full set of Desto and P&S types of Moths with MD, CS and AS. At least every third fight you will win so no need for fancy tactics.

In-Depth for this battle:
This is the hardest of all the legendary solo creatures.
If Nether Faerie Dragon doesn't Exchange Life on him to get him down to 1000 or below, things get ugly pretty fast, Use the big attacks from Robo-Chick (Wind-Up) and Darkmoon Tonk and you should win this one. If you miss the Exchange Life, dont bother to continue, just forfeit and restart.

World of Warcraft, Pandaria Pet Battle Guide.
My fastguide is the notes I have made for myself to get through the dailys in Pandaria a little quicker. The order they follow is the most effecient way to get to all 22 if you look at the world map, starting from the Shrine of Two Moons.
With this guide you should get some nice Pet Battling stuff and make a
few hundred gold and 500 timeless coins on the Pandaria dailys every day.
Some days you get a pet worth (Auction house) appx 500-1500g in addition
to the usual stuff.
This should be all you need to conquer the dailys.
Good luck and happy pet-battling!

->Call Lightning (swap)
->Howl (swap)
->Ion Cannon
->Dead
Ion Cannon is from a Mechanical Yeti, Menagerie Custodian or Darkmoon Tonk. Mechanical Yetis are great since they also have Call Lightning. Howl is on several pets (notably foxes), however any double damage debuff that lasts at least 2 rounds will do.
Same strat works for Gorespine as well.

This was the easiest Legendary pet fight for me, here is what I did:
1. Effervescent Glowfly (level 23) Use Glowing Toxin, Confusing Toxin, hit with Scratch until killed.
2. Unborn Val'kyr (25) Use Curse of Doom, Haunt
3. Silky Moth (25) Cocoon Strike, Moth Dust, hit with Alpha Strike while other abilities are on CD, repeat.
Good luck!

Killed it with:
- Darkmoon Zeppelin (Missile, Explode, Decoy);
- Mechanical Chicken (Batter, Overtune, Wind-Up);
- Third pet was not used.

Not Catchable- doesn't seem to be since I got it well under 30% to attempt to catch it.
Legendary Battle Pet. Very Powerful and Useful. Having to Kill it. Makes sense, right ?

I managed to take him down with Chrominius and Anubisath Idol in 5 moves:
Howl
Surge of Power
Chrominius dies
Demolish
Sandstorm
Demolish
Greyhoof dies
I know luck is very important here, especially with 50% Demolish hit chance and 40% after Sandstorm but that's how I did it.
There were no misses in this combat.

A quick combination I find works (for those without high lvl blue mechs) is a 25 fox opening with dazzling dance, flurry till you are sure to die next attack then hit him with howl.
Bring in feverbite hatchling (or any spider with brittle webbing & spiderling swarm) and hit in that order. I neverget to the 3rd pet but have a glowfly sitting there just in case with both poisons ready.

25 Rare Nether Faerie Dragon (Slicing Wind, Life Exchange, MoonFire)
25 Rare Darkmoon Tonk (Missle, Shock and Awe, Ion Cannon)
Open with Moonfire. Slicing Wind, Life Exhcange. Switch to Tonk, Stun and Awe, Ion Cannon.
If you want to use a carry pet, have swap him in for one round after Life Exchange.

Very fast and easy fight:
1. Rare level 25 Tranquil Mechanical Yeti: Call Lightning, Ion Cannon
2. Rare level 25 Chrominius: Howl, Surge of Power
Tranquil Mechanical Yeti casts Call Lightning.
Swap to Chrominius, who casts Howl, then Surge of Power. Chrominius dies.
Swap to Tranquil Mechanical Yeti, who casts Ion Cannon.
Greyhoof dies.

Simple 2 pets strategy that never fails: you'll need a bird with base speed greater than 306 and a
flock
type damage doubling ability (
murder
from an SS
crow
is great too) (I use an SS
Szechuan Chicken
), second pet you'll need is either
Menagerie Custodian
or
Tonk
(although, realistically, any pet with a HEAVY hitting ability is likely usable here).
Start with your bird, fire up flock/murder. If it survives an entire cycle of flock murder, do it again! After the bird dies, bring in Tonk/Custodian.
Shock and Awe
, followed up with
Ion Cannon
.
If you don't have a bird with faster speed than 306, you can swap in a critter with
Stampede
so long as the critter is faster than 306 (Lots of rabbits or hares satisfy this).
If you're concerned about the miss possibility of Shock and Awe, stick with the Custodian and use
Zap
followed by Ion Cannon, all the skills in this set up are 100%.
Honestly, this is probably THE easiest fight of all the legendaries.

For the lazy, win in 4 rounds pressing only 2 buttons (3 if you count a pet swap):
S/S
Grasslands Cottontail
H/P
Menagerie Custodian
1. Stampede until Grasslands Cottontail dies
2. Ion Cannon

Easiest way I found was
贊達拉咬膝龍
using Black Claw and then Hunting party till he dies. Then bring in
小布靈登
and use inflation.
This team work is generally lethal to beasts
