So, will the gift-giving cooldown be per player or per Bling/owner of Bling? As in, can the whole raid receive a gift each, or just one person? edit It's a daily, hence, everyone can talk to Bling. However, that daily is account-wide.

Ok. So here's what the item actually does.
Once every 4 hours you can deploy the npc Blingtron. He will give the daily quest 布靈登4000型 to anyone on your faction that talks to him.

The quest can be completed by any number of people in the 10 minutes in which he's alive, and you will each recieve 布靈登4000型禮物包.
When opened it will give you a random vendable grey item eg.機器人啤酒 and most of the time a few 派對手榴彈 or potions (大師治療藥水大師法力藥水)
The most valuable item that has a chance to be in the package seems to be 火靈, which increases your skill in both primary profession by 3.
It is reported as having the possibility of containing an engineering mount or pet, though the chance seems to be incredibly small.

This is a daily quest so expect to freqently see Bling up around your city's auction house, ~~at which point you can use it on all your alts at any level.~~
The daily quest given by Bling now seems to be only availab'e to level 80 characters and above and is now account wide, so you can only complete it once per battlenet account.

Seems that all levels can't part-take anymore.
Yesterday my Level 1, 22, 85 & 90s were able to receive gifts. Today only my 85s & 90s were able to.

I know this will be down voted for this but I have to question the value of this item.

The mats for this are somewhat expensive. About what it would have been to build a jeeves back in the day. I don't have a problem with that. It is a max level reusable item that does offer benefits to those that use it..

But let's have a rational conversation about those benefits.

The profession levelling Fire Spirit won't help the engineer who crafted him. The engineer already has 600 engineering. If the engineer is a miner it is likely also maxed. I suppose it might help another profession that isn't mining. Definately would be useful in future expansions.

Also, free engineering mounts and pets for everyone! Wait a minute... Isn't that a source of income for engineers? Why would I set up a mount and pet vending machine in a place where people could find it. I don't care how low the drop rate is.

It is a cool idea and fun to make new friends and help guildies and whatnot. I just don't really see the benefit for the engineer.

How to get best use of your Blingtron:

1. Go to your farm at Valley of the Four Winds.
2. Move towards market, until start seeing other players.
3. Move back till they disappear and one-two more steps back.
4. Plant your Blingtron.

I don't know how to link items on here but I just got a High society top hat off blingtron.

It is just a white item and I didn't have a clue what it was, before I sold it to the vendor I check on here..

Its made from a very rare tailoring pattern and used to sell for 15k+.. :o

I saw my first Blingtron today that was available for me to get a package.

This thing is cool and a lot of fun, however, it is quite expensive in the way of mats. 4 living steels, 4 wild jade, 4 onyx, 4 trillium, and the painful one - 4 harmony spirits (takes a while to get these and can't buy em).

Ouch, but i'll probably end up making one anyway. Go Wow!

I've put together a useful macro to both deploy and alert other players to Bling's presence including location cord's.

I hope this is of use to people who visit this page. Note that this Macro must be split up due to character limit, there are multiple solutions for this. (Super Duper Macro being the easiest solution)

As of the last PTR build you can now part down with bling and get a 1 hour buff called 盛裝打扮 and he will pimp you out. Doesn't seem to have the daily for my level 85's so not sure what is up there.

Not worth making it untill later on in the expac: almost certain to get you nothing at the cost of 5k+. Make the mount instaed even if it is the longer road.

Patch 5.1 changes:

He gives a buff called 盛裝打扮 when talked to that lasts for an hour.

As of Patch 5.1, it appears that everyone of all levels can interact with Blingtron 4000 and select "Lets Party!", in which you transform into a human in a stylish, Bank character type garb complete with a stylish hat (seems to vary... I've seen a zebra and tiger style hats), with a 1 hour "buff" called 盛裝打扮.

As others have noted, as of 5.1 Blingtron only gives one gift per day per ACCOUNT. When I built this, I expected it to pay for itself via the trash drops in the package from my various toons. Now they've made it yet another money sink for engineers. Not worth the build in my opinion, just fluff for an expensive investment. Repair bots are a better use of time and resources. Sent a ticket to a GM, but I already know what the answer will be.

You’ll have ‘em lining up wherever you set this new invention down in the hope of getting a special gift. (Gifts are limited to one per day, per account, to anyone who talks with him while he’s around.) ". This was actually broken up until the 5.1 patch, where we fixed it.

It appears that if you're standing close enough to 布靈登4000型 now, you'll hear some faint techno/disco-type music with some laughter in the backround. Not sure if this is new with 5.1.0 since my music is usually all the way down prior to hearing this.

He also offers some parting words now. Right before he despawns, he'll say, "Goodbye, nearby living beings! My unique presence is requested in another dimension."

Got a response on my ticket about account wide gifts This is Game Master Quarumoli. It would appear that this is an issue that caught the attention of our Quality Assurance and Development teams. Seems the quest has been marked as an account wide quest at this time, however we have not yet received confirmation if this is intended or not. Like not though, heh. Suffice to say we are looking into it as we speak and should have it taken care of soon if determined to be a bug. <3

Yeah i just cant get anymore quests on any toons on my account for a couple days now period good to know im not the only one having issues.

Since the patch, I have been completely unable to receive gifts from Blingtron. I spawn him, and he only offers the transformation option. None of my other characters on the account are receiving gifts. Anyone have any idea why this might be happening?

Lately, it seems like every time I put down Blingtron he doesn't award a gift package, but just says "Let's Party" and if you click on it you get a "Dressed to Kill" transformation. Kinda of dumb for all the gold Blingtron costs. So far, It's a pretty disappointing Engineering recipe.

Well, Blizzard's latest change to the Blingtron now makes it a LOT less fun, and also not worth it to engineers to spend their coin to make.

One gift per day PER ACCOUNT SUCKS! Put it back the way it was, dammit! I didn't spend my time leveling multiple characters to get screwed over on bonus items, most of which are useful but not extraordinary. COME ON BLIZZARD!

So, if you have a horde engineer on one server and an ally engineer on another server you have to pick which faction can do a daily...

And all very well saying any level - but they removed xp award for the quest early on so no massive benefit to low level alts.

So patch 5.1 and Blizzard nerf Blingtron so far into the ground no engineer will ever invest the time and mats in it again! Way to fail and hack off already fed up players!

As it is I've cancelled my account (after 6 years) over the relentless grinds for rep on alts just to spend VP. Then the insanely low drop rates for things like the Pat Nagle daily - and now this?

Call me if you like for a /qq but I can see absolutely no reason for Blizzard to so harshly nerf this. Just helped validate my account cancellation. I've paid up to May (FML) but they'll never get another penny from me!

For those of you with more than one WoW account: As far as I know this is the first instance of actually being penalized for merging your accounts under one Battle.net ID. Only one character per Battle.net ID can do this daily each day. So even if you pay $150/month for ten accounts (just an example) you can only do this daily once total across all of them.

To clarify, had I never merged my two WoW accounts together, I could still do the daily twice per day, once per license. Honestly I bet this is an oversight. But so minor in their eyes I doubt it will ever be fixed.

I don't think I'd mind not being able to log to all my alts and get this 11 times per server, but I should be able to at least get it once per leveled engineer.

I think my ideal with some balance would be this:

Change the cooldown to 23 hours.

Give each spawned Blingtron an ID. When you use a Blingtron that character gets marked as having done the quest AND your account gets marked as having use that particular Blingtron. Any character can use any Blingtron they find so long as they haven't done that quest that day AND the account hasn't used that particular Blingtron.

this is now a must for dead servers. it has boosted moral and community participation around my low pop server 100x over. i just make a /2 announcement a few times throughout the day with location and information about updated loot tables, frequency of quest,etc. and it turns a usually dead orgrimmar into a feeding frenzy. i am having a hard time keeping up with all the /bows and thanks i receive via pm, it's been overwhelming. tl:dr - dead server + blingatron4000 + announcement = ftw

You can announce your deployment to /1 and your Guild with the following macro.

You do need to install a addon like Super Duper Macro to handle the extended length. It would be great to see someone make a addon to do what this macro does.

Also notice that the quest is a daily battle.net account wide. If you have a second WOW account in your battle.net account you will not be able to pick up the quest a second time in the same day.

Has anyone figured out the clothing for the party outfit? I'd like to look like that more often than I can find Blingtron...

There are two outfits. One is a black shirt/jacket with white lapels showing at the neck. The other is a white shirt with brown lapels and collar. The screenshots I took of the brown one have been accepted and are visible from this page.

Hat:
The black outfit has 造型冒險帽.
The brown outfit has 造型叢林帽.

Chest:
The black jacket might be 禮服夾克. I haven't found the white shirt with brown lapels yet.

Pants:
Haven't found these yet.

Shoes:
The brown outfit has knee high boots, close-fitted, dark/charcoal grey and what looks like the cuffover at the top in a lighter grey, and has 4 buttons on the side. I haven't had the black outfit on again to check the boots.

Note: I can't find a page for the 'Dressed to Kill' buff - that's the name of a quest, and that's all that comes up when I put that in the search bar here. I'll update as I find it... if I do.

My assumption as to why Blizz made it an account wide daily is apparently people were getting really anal about doing the blingtron daily on all their toons, feeling like they were being forced to log in just to do them. Blizz had made a blue post on the subject, i think saying how blingtron wasn't meant to be a chore and as a STFU to the people who were feeling taxed having to log in toon to toon just to collect the box, they made it account wide as a daily.

Raw materials if you want to transmute:

4x 鬼鐵錠 = 8x 鬼鐵礦石
4x 延齡錠 = 40x 鬼鐵錠 = 80x 鬼鐵礦石
4x 活化鋼 = 24x 延齡錠 = 240x 鬼鐵錠 = 420x 鬼鐵礦石

Total 鬼鐵礦石 = 508 (43 stacks).

If you're making 延齡錠s and 活化鋼 with 黑延齡礦石 and 白延齡礦石, you'll need 56 black and 56 white.

I don't see why you should NOT build this. I mean think about it, from the day you build it until the day you quit WoW, you have a chance on getting 1 of the 4 mounts, rare engineering pets, fancy armour or just a few/lot of gold from grey items. That and people in your guild/realm will be thankfull!

For some silly fun, when you're in saurok form in Ihgaluk Crag on Isle of Thunder, drop your Blingtron and click on "Let's Party!" You'll still turn into a snazzily dressed dude... but you'll still be on all fours, with the extra run speed, the ridiculously long jumping, and neutral appearance to the saurok around you.

For a few extra giggles, play "Yakety Sax" as you run around.

For several months now, all I've received with the VERY occasional exception of a vendor-item worth from 8-12 gold (once per week at most), is party grenades and super-heated oil (worth copper) or the oily glove/"romance novel" (worth a few silver).

It's no longer worth the effort to even drop the bugger. And if I level any other engineers on other servers, I won't bother with the mats to make it. I'm not getting my money's worth.

It's been a year and I've dropped it almost everyday and I've never received any of the rare items it can purportedly drop. What a waste of Living Steel.

GG Blizz, way to screw people out of Mats that could be spent making other stuff to actually make you money, or other vanity items. It's not really worth an Engineer's mats to make this now that its an "Account Daily". The only value to this, is the fact I can sell Ghost Iron Bars and Trillium Bars for stupid amounts of money. And you guys wonder why you keep losing Subscriptions with these stupid nerfs.

Worth the materials just to be fun and share and a daily to go toward quest. I deploy it a lot and never get the Orb of Mystery. Anyone else receive an Orb of Mystery. It sells from a vendor for around 18,000g. The vendor trash can add up with an occasional perverted undertone.

Does Bling not have any karma code? Meaning the more you share, the better your chances are of getting better loot?

Put Blingtron in some really tough to reach places and watch other players attempt to reach him!

My favorite is probably the "under construction" tent at Darkmoon Faire, most players will seemingly assume he is another daily and it will confuse the heck out of 'em when they see a daily in the middle of the boarded up tent. =D

What this does is say into trade chat "Blingtron Deployed at (location) in (zone)", followed by coordinates. It also will only work if Blingtron is not on cooldown (meaning you cant accidentally say you deployed a blingtron, when you did not).

So for example, if I'm in Stormwind City by the fountain, this macro will say in trade chat: Blingtron deployed at Trade District in Stormwind City! (61.0, 74.0)likewise, if I'm in the middle of the alliance shrine it will say:Blingtron deployed at The Emperor's Step in Shrine of Seven Stars! (87.0, 66.0)

the macro is barely short enough to modify to post in guild chat as well. That macro looks like this:

I couldn't find any backstory on Blingtron - nothing official anyway - seems to be tossed in the game without one - so here is my contribution to WoW lore for this extremely powerful NPC known as Blingtron...

Once upon a time there was an aspiring Gnome experimenting with newly discovered technology without proper testing and safty precautions; nothing new for a Gnome.
As he was working with a Flux Capacitor to close to a perfect primordial prism,

a rift in the time continuum was created and from this discovery Blingtron was created. A transdimensional being that can and does leap through the cosmos sometimes inhabiting the body of Blingtron 3000’s as they are summoned.

The entity that inhabits your Blingtron has the power to dispence treasures it has in its cashe of secret treasures he keeps in an unknown location. He is a lonely soul that appears in random places, never knowing when or where he will be next.

Although he gains his pleasure from dispensing gifts to everyone he meets sometimes he is left in his secret lair for far too long and has developed a taist for steemy romance novels and the like.

So if you catch him off guard you may receive an oily glove or perhaps even a sample of viscouse liquid, so be warned.

It has been said however that he has the power to hand out epic mounts and expensive chochkees worth hundreds of gold. One things for sure you are most likely to get that extra bit you need to repair your armor if you join him in his quest to have fun.
