D.E.H.T.A. has recently placed a great number of critters under their protection, especially rabbits and squirrels. Because of this, Flintlocke's Woodchucker has been re-fitted to use wild chickens until an "agreement" can be reached.

Kind of sad that it's only usable by hunters. I mean, Flinklocke WAS a warrior, and I'm sure there are some dwarf warriors out there that are quite sad that they're not going to be able to get drunk and start shooting chickens... out of their gun.

Selling for about 400g on my realm, with ~240g in material costs. Not an enormous coin-maker. I'd expect that as the stragglers reach the 125 mark in the next day or two that the price of these things is going to hit the cost-of-mats floor.

The average critter dmg with 374 item lvl is around 900 and according to my test it CANNOT BE a critical hit. Anyway, it sounds really funny.

Seeing as this is a class-hunter scope (though aren't they all, in essence?) here's some rough numbers as they apply to the different specs. This assumes standard raid buffs, percentages stack addatively before being applied:

Beast Mastery
300 Agi + Armor Bonus + 5% Primary Stats = 330 Agi
330 Agi x (2) = 660 AP + 10% AP + Beast Specialization = 891 AP
330 Agi = 1.06% Crit

Markmanship
300 Agi + Armor Bonus + 5% Primary Stats = 330 Agi
330 Agi x (2) = 660 AP + 10% AP = 726 AP
330 Agi = 1.06% Crit

Survival
300 Agi + Armor Bonus + 5% Primary Stats + 10% Surv Specialization + 2% Surv Talent = 366 Agi
366 Agi x (2) = 732 AP + 10% AP = 805 AP
366 Agi = 1.13% Crit

This scope awards less overall AP to all specs than the X-Ray Scope (B-1080/M-880/S-880 AP) but the boost in Crit will could make it preferable to Beast and Surv as they value Crit significantly, even if the AP granted is a bit lower. Theorycrafters will probably publish a few books on it later but numbers like these are probably fine for anyone that's not into that.

This is crafted by engineers using one of the two new engineering schematics sold by Damek Bloombeard at the Molten Front. This may be one of the greatest hunter items ever, but unless the engineer crafting it has a JC alt to provide the gems, crafting it at a loss will mean you won't see many of these. So, if you want to see a plentiful supply in the AH after this week's initial release, you hunters better be willing to pony up more than the 190g they are selling for now.

oddly enough the item cost of this enhancement to craft is pretty low. around 100-110g at the most if u can get volatile airs and elementium easily.. dream emeralds are always a joke in price and people buy it for 300-400g+ each quite easily in the AH. this thing is great to resell plus every hunter needs one so if u are an engineer u better grind out the dailys to get this schematic.

please rate this information down if u think giving engineers a great AH tip is a bad idea.

One very important thing to remember: the recipe that makes this is BoP.

That means they can only be built by level 85+ characters with max Engineering whom have both completed all the quests in 海加爾山 AND spent about a month doing dailies in 熔岩前線. Plus, the mats are really damn expensive.

So, don't expect your Engineer character to fly to a vendor for the recipe, or to find the recipe on the Auction House. This scope will be rather unique because not every Engineer is going to dedicate a month just to get the recipe for what amounts to a joke item. Plus, it'll become obsolete once Pandaria content opens, and other scopes provide much higher bonuses.

I, however, did put in the effort. It's the only reason I even bothered with Molten Front on my Hunter. I mean, woodchucker!

EDIT: Now that enchants scale in 5.4, I've found the most hilarious way to level a Hunter to 85:

滑膛矮人手持火砲 enchanted with 燧鎖的發射器.

I've verified that the Woodchucker does proc, even on a level one Hunter! And it's back to actually tossing a small mammal now, instead of a bird. Damn thing flies too fast for me to screenshot, but it's funny as can be to watch.

If you are planning on twinking a hunter at a low level during/after 5.4, this is essential. With the new "any enchant scales" feature, this enchant on the heirloom bow usually procs for 300 extra damage and gives an insane 112 agility buff.

It requires a hunter character to use this item. I couldn't manage to put it on 魅惑的上古骨弓 as a mage. And I couldn't apply it on my newly created alt either because of the level 80 requirement. So if I understand correct; unless you have a level 80+ hunter and want to level a new hunter alt for some reason, you can't use this on the heirloom bow.

Say i'm doing an old raid with a 90 hunter and 奎爾薩拉斯金弓 drops. Can he apply this to the bow and trade it to my hunter or will the 2 hour trade window be canceled out? I'm asking because it has been possible to put some enchants that had "Enchanting X item will make it soulbound" in the past on items that were looted, enchanted, and then traded to the desired player. Hope my question isn't confusing lol.
