I was hoping to find these plans while on the PTR. I took about an hour and went to different clusters of mobs where blizzard might want the plans to drop. Strangely enough, I got plans for Ragesteel Helm... from a new location in SMV, contrary to where it drops on live servers at the moment. If anyone happens to find the plans for the shoulders or any of the other set pieces in new locations, post it here ASAP!

These shoulders are sort of out of line with the other ragesteel items, which are geared for instance and raid dps. These actually have some stamina on them, making them possibly viable for PvP as well. Definitely a welcome addition.

So I got this recipe today and I have came across one issue. What is the best way to get scrolls of strength V? Ive already done the quest in skettis so I cant buy the scroll from that dude :/. Other then that seems like everyone either uses them or vendors.

I got these drop from a Air Elemental in Shadowmoon Valley, very good DPS plate.

Have gem's in for +8 Hit and +8 Crit

I also made about 10 for others as I advertised in Trade and made them with other peoples mats for 15g crafting fee.... sold 2 sets on AH for 200g BO.

Well worth the grind for any BS will skill you up to 375 stays orange in proffesion window.

Blinking sharks.... I decided to start collecting mats for this sweet item... I have all the fel iron and primal fires, and almost all the Khorium. The only thing was the Scroll of Str. So I head off to the AH .... there were 4 up .. 2 of them for 70 g each, the other 2 for 80g each .... ...

Yeah - that's me ... speechless !!

Edit : Heh, picked up 2 off the AH .. one for 2g, one for 40s ;-) Seems like the hype died down and sanity returned

Confirmed, I just got these plans today off of an enraged earth spirit. I circled shadowmoon killing the enraged fire, air and earths and it finally dropped around the 120th kill or so. I got lucky and found 1 scroll in AH for 3 silver, but went to Zangarmarsh for the other and paid 5g for the other from another player. These are a very nice upgrade from the Sylvanaar shoulders. It's very nice having a new shoulder sprite too since the Sylvanaar ones were exactly like the level 47 Imperial Plate Shoulders lol.

If you're a warrior or paladin leveling up and questing in Zangarmarsh, pick up this quest https://www.wowhead.com/mop-classic/quest=9901 and pick the scrolls of strenght. It might save you the troubles at level 70 trying to look for the scrolls required to craft these shoulders.

With the amount of strength already on these when you add in Wrath gems you come up with 64 strength which makes these pretty nice for starting heroics at 80.

Dropped after about 26 kills - Enraged Air Spirit. Was also grinding for Fel Glands on the Netherskates. Both spawn dead south of Drawgonmaw Fortress. Pretty decent drop on motes of air, too. Good experience. Now ... I just need the breastplate to drop off the Ashtounge Warriors. Already killed over 65 and nothing. We'll see what happens tonight.

the day after these things came out some guy on my server was making them and selling for 300 gold a piece. 3 days later a couple more people could make them and the price had dropped to about 120g. anyways, i've got to say that 120 is definitely worth it since the shoulders are the jewel of the ragesteel set!

These plans were quite easy to get took just 3 kills for them to drop from enraged air spirits in Shadowmoon Valley just had to get these new plans for once again have complete set of all blue gear bs crafted.

The usual "down on one's luck story" here.
I was up to my 3rd hour and 145th elemental and they dropped off an Enraged Water Elemental near Coilskar. I was 2 minutes from giving up to.

I set these up with the helm (in the submitted screen). the fact that blizz made it only 2 articles are needed for the set bonus is real nice. don't worry so much about the loss in stam. this helm (and set) is pretty much for a ms/fury warrior. if you tank, than craft a felsteel helm (its a hell of a lot cheaper). like mentioned earlier, throw a glyph in this bad boy, and continue to smash face. though, this set isnt your endgame setup. craft it up and use these pieces as it's not a bad setup for kara or whatnot. youll be replacing this gear along the way through some good instance raids. enjoy your crit strike ratings. (btw, i through in some blue crit strike gems in the shoulders, and it really helps). later all

the mats for this aren't too bad and i know that these seem to be kind of a rare drop as they were added to the game only 11 days ago as far as i know. the hard mat is the stupid scrolls! i am Mirenn on Mok'Nathal realm if anyone has some i would like to buy some lol :D anyway does anyone know a good place to farm these scrolls?

Finally got the plans for Ragesteel Shoulders off of Enraged Air Spirit at 73,28 in SMV, third kill. This was after killing enough of these at Netherwing Pass to get 3 primal air. Not a complete loss, but frustrating when you consider the competition for these mobs.

Following the advises described above, I went to Shadowmoon Valley looking for the Enraged Airs and thought to myself how many would I have to kill for the recipe to drop: 10, 50, 100 etc. Well it drop on my 2nd kill. I think I got lucky, but in case the one I killed has better drop rate, here is the coordination: around 67.57. There are two near each other, the one that dropped was the one near to the wooden fence. Good luck to all the fellow BS.

I feel like sharing a little story BEFORE i tell you how nice these shoulders are.

So i was farming adamantite ran into a cave with my hopes high for a rich vein, you need to clear the ogres to get to the spawn spot. So Im killing ogres and BAM, the plans for the hands drop. Third kill of the day. Than maybe...2 days later im farming primal air in shadowmoon valley. SECOND kill of the day BAM the shoulder plans drop :D This has got to be the most luck ive had during the game. Since i wasnt even trying to get either of the plans. I got the mats (BS 351 atm so cant craft myself) And so I have these now. There great, if your a fresh level 70 GET THIS! Easy mats,nice look, great stats. =) Good luck

Got mine off enraged air spirits in SMV a week ago...have sold 2 already for 200g a piece easily. Thinking of raising the price. Just got the last plan in the set (helm), so now I can make all four pieces!

***this was the second hardest recipe to get after the Helm

Plans Ragesteel Shoulders - killed about 200 air elementals both North of Black temple and South in the Netherwing Fields(nice to get all those mote of air). Choose your poison North (snakes and scorpions that like to come out of nowhere when your grinding elementals) or South (The damn elite guy on the Dragon that swoops down on you out of nowhere. Got me twice before i figured out where he seemed to fly around). IMO this is the gem as there a very few nice, blue shoulders out there for warriors at level 70. ***If you're on Khadgar (ally) dont grind this or I'll stab you if you start undercutting me on AH.

Plans Ragesteel Gloves - once I started TRYING to farm for this, it took about 30 boulderfist warriors to get (middle area in Nagrand, around Halaa) ...relief after grinding for the shoulders so long. I did kill tons more boulderfist before I ever new they dropped this from doing the "save the @#$%^&ed kid(corki) quest"

Plans Ragesteel Breastplate - once I started trying to farm this one, took about 10 kills. Had already killed a bunch of these guys too though from quests earlier. Drops off Ashtongue Warriors in SMV. Hated these guys.

Plans "To hard to get" Ragesteel Helm - this was the biggest pain of the 4, but I'll give you a tip. The anger guards in Blade's edge give this one.....I swear I must have killed about 300 before they dropped. IDK IF THIS IS COINCIDENCE OR NOT BUT....go grind some fel corrupters nearby..get the damaged mask (this item leads to a long string of quests) ends with "you're fired". I decided to look up why there were so many people in the area killing things other than the guards....found this quest I just mentioned. After killing about 299 anger guards...thought I might as well go pick up this quest line. Lots of quests in quest line, but very quick to complete BTW. ANYWAYS....when i got to the part to kill anger guards for the keys they drop....GUESS WHAT DROPS off the first anger guard.....Plans: "I hated grinding for this" Ragesteel Helm. Bye Bye Anger Guards...kiss my butt good bye as you will never see me again!
(engineers and scrubs nearby will drop Marks of Sargeras If you get bored waiting for respawns)

*** had demonslayer x 2 on my weapons (was grinding primal shadows off voidwalkers in nagrand (for my Fireguard Woot!))....came in very useful here too as I was able to slice my way right through the anger guards) Recommend you get this and a couple snickers bars as you won't be going anywhere for a while.

Above..people were talking about how hard they are to get...?
I got 9 in my bank waiting to make a few of these babies.

A lot of people dont know how much they are worth....(scroll of strength V) just check AH every so often...have bought them for as low as 91s, usually around 2-5g)

If you cant get them that way.....Darkmoon faire vendor sells tons of scrolls if you're willing to camp him for a while, you may pick up a few of these strength V ones cheap, I did) Every 5 minutes or so, he refreshes his inventory...be the first to see what he has when he refreshes and ding ding ding!

Professor Thaddeus is his name...look him up.

with the changes to the PVP rewards, namely Gladiator gear given out with basically each free toaster, just pay some time to the PVP gods and get your gladiator shoulders.

The neighborhood of Ragesteel:
873 armor
32 str
12 sta
yellow-yellow sockets
hit rating 9
crit rating 17

The neighborhood of Gladiator's:
1160 armor
22 str
45 sta
red-yellow sockets
crit rating 23
resilience 19

Both require to be level 70 and the gladiator shoulders trump this, hands down. Socket it how you wish, hell, even tanks at 490 DEF can use this (not like their honor can buy them any true tanking gear anyway) with appropriate sockets and not lose a step.

All this, and without having to worry about being a 350 smith for the ragesteel bonuses to kick in.

Or put it simply, prior to the Gladiator's gear showing up, as a 375 smith there was a small market for this item. Now, plan ol' bupkus...folks aint dumb thats for sure.

By far the best of the ragesteel items.

When you start getting into PvP the most important thing is almost always to get a good weapon - while you are getting this and can't afford any other PvP purchases this is actually not a terrible shoulder piece to tie you over.

Had a bid running for 99g and when I checked the AH later on, I saw two for only 30g. That's way, way cheaper than what the mats cost, so I thought, heck let's try this. Bought them out and put them on the AH again a day later for 125g both. Sold both. Ka-ching.

I have full gladiator season 1 but I'm picking up this set for raid DPS. If you are wearing this in pvp I dearly hope it's a filler piece, but as far as raid dps these are some of the best peices until you can get harder raiding things like badge gear or T4.
