Your arena team needs to be ranked top10 in the end of the season to get this mount. As I understood it they're also just counting the last 100 games, so if you were in a team that was top10 in the beginning of the season, but then didn't participate in any of the team's 100 last games, you won't get one of these drakes even if you have the % games required.

it makes no sense going out of your way to req. this mount. Sure, it flyes 30% faster but who cares? 280 is plenty imo... and if you want 310 then just get trinkets and stuff to buff it:) but Ashes of al'ar https://www.wowhead.com/mop-classic/item=32458 isn't just fast, its really awsome and special, not more than 1 drops for ages, with this drake.. you see several ppl flying around with it... = not special at all, I'd rather go for Spectral tiger (grounded mount) for "Special" than this. Sure it proves you're a hard core PvP freak, like Black war tiger did back in the day, but special? no...

As of 2.3, did anyone notice the colour change in the lower left wing of the drake? The head armor also is different, it seems to be a slighter darker purplish-blue.

With 2.4, the wing discolour appears to have been fixed.

I belive it comes hand in hand with the <Gladiator> title. Meaning If your arena team is in the top 5% of the battlegroup, you qualify. I could be wrong, but this is what ive heard.

I just went to Nihilum's website and saw one of the most unbelievable photos...Landolph(one of the members) posted a picture of his mailbox.....he had THREE swift nether drakes in the mail, one for each of his arena teams he was in...too bad they are BoP AND unique, he could've had one to fly on weekdays, weekends, and on vacation (sarcasm)

Seriously, how hard do you suppose being in the top .5% in one arena team is? Take that and do it 3 times, and you get 3 nether drakes in the mail next season.
