Was a better wand, now it's been nerfed and only adds half as much damage as it used to, making this the best non-epic shadow damage wand there is.

All green wands that drop after patch 1.9 will no longer have the +20/21 shadow damage modifiers. The highest modifier I've seen post-1.9 is +10 shadow damage. So this wand is the best +shadow damage wand after 1.9.

I have often wondered and this wand frames up the question nicely...

Do buffs to shadow damage effect wand damage if its a shadow type wand?

Does a shadow wand count as shadow damage to other spell effects such as Spirit Tap?

Anyone did any research on this?

This would be good for a shadow priest as well. Don't know why everytime something comes up with shadow damage everyone assumes its for warlocks. Us shadow priests get no respect at all even though we are the best PvP specced in the game imo.

For those who don't think that the extra damage doesn't stack with wands, you are wrong. If you read, it says shadowspells "and effects" in the description. I have found wands in the past that have had the same DPS, but when equipped, the shadow damage wand did higher DPS becuase of the shadow damage bonus I had.

This information is correct. Skul's Ghastly Touch & Serpentine Skuller are very popular high-level shadow-priests' desired wands due to this logic.

That doesn't make much sense, and would make wands insanely overpowered if coupled with the right items. An item like the crimson felt hat also adds to "All magical effects" which should include wands with, say, arcane damage - But with full wand skill and about half the dozen items that add to magical skills and effects (And arcane effects, for that matter) and it makes absolutely no difference to wand damage.

It's not your +damage items making the shadow wand do more damage. If a mob is debuffed to take more damage from Shadow spells, like from a Warlock's curse or Shadow Weaving, the enemy will recieve more damage from the wand, but you're not actually doing more damage... if you get what I mean by that. You're attacking for the same amount, but the enemy is taking more damage.

a lvl 52 green wand can have up to +20 damage (shadow/fire/ice/arcane), while higher level wand can have up to +23 dmg.

Unless you are planning to actually USE the wand as your major attack, I don't see any point of wasting your time to get these if you use them as a buff.

Spend your time in AH, its not very difficult to find one you need.

However, since Skul is a rare mob, you are better off farming Bonecreeper Stylus which drops off of Darkmaster Gandling in Scholomance.

To the tard shadow priest:

+dmg will never build up the dps of a wand. Ever.
Nor will shadowweaving or curse of shadows.
The wands are designed with a flat rate dps, (thou which can crit)

hehe i picked this up in strat the other day, my lock was lvl 57, figures i hit 58 the next day and within an hour of hitting 58 i replaced it with desolation rod

This isn't that great. Wizard's hand or Dragon finger of Shadow wrath both have more +shadow damage. My Wizard's hand of Shadow Wrath has +19 shadow damage. The DPS is slightly better on this, but who actually uses wands for the DPS?

well ok its not the most fantastic wand ever but for my warlock it would do nicely thank you very much, besides with blues when u upgrade u can get a nice shard hehe, and the bops are free aside from the time spent to aquire them of course, but a shadow wand with +shadow dmg seem very rare, and i am dying for one to utilise all my plus shadow dmg kit

斯庫爾 is a rare-spawn hostile NPC in the living side of Stratholme. He has two spawn points: the first in Festival Lane, easiest to access from the undead-side entrance; the second is by Fras Siabi's shop which is directly left of the living-side entrance.

His most notable loot is 斯庫爾的蒼白之觸, which is effectively warlock BiS throughout MC/Ony and BWL due to giving a whopping +14 Shadow spell damage!

My method for farming the wand was to focus on the spawn by the undead-side entrance, as you can easily scout out the spawn without killing any enemies!

Enter through the undead-side entrance with one other player.
Cast 基爾羅格之眼, while your companion opens the gate into the first courtyard (you need this as the cast for the Eye is 5 seconds but the gate will close before you can get through with the Eye!)
Hug the left wall with your Eye and move into the archway towards Festival Lane. From here you should be able to /tar him if he's spawned.
Repeat steps 1-3 until you have your spawn! Note that the lockout limit means you can't do this non-stop until you find him, but does avoid bringing a whole group to EPL just to kill nothing unless you need to do a run of either part of Stratholme anyway!
Clear the 3 or so trash groups from the entrance to Festival Lane fountain, and kill Skul. This was a cake-walk for MC-geared tank, healer and DPS as 4, and likely is manageable as 3 if generally well-geared, as Skul himself is not particularly challenging to nuke down.

The wand has a roughly 30% drop chance so you shouldn't need to do this too many times to get your item!

If nothing else, one of your party should come away with a 墮落者的天譴石!
