If you want 覆著灰燼的角 from 歐朵斯高階祭司 - choose talents:
- 速度爆發 to evade oneshot abilities of priest and/or others mobs in area.
- 死亡謊言 save your life if you fail to evade oneshot attack.
- 手裏劍 combo-generator. Weak, but can attack from distance!
- 擲殺 combo-finisher. Also can slow mob (need to check).

螃蟹殼 will greatly help to evade additional mobs, when you kiting 歐朵斯高階祭司.

Additional information:

- don't break the cast of 燒灼, unless mob is nearly to die. Priest will heal, but the amount of heal is smaller, that DoT effect of 燒灼.

- always kill 永恆窯爐, cause if you don't do it, 歐朵斯高階祭司 will speed, damage and cast up by 50% (窯火). You really don't want it.

kind of funny how one of the best items for the bigger bag achievement farming drops off one of the least convenient mobs to farm. funny in that "haha... f*** me" sort of way.

I farm these and 火焰大祭司 regularly solo on my hunter and lock (Affliction). The same technique works for both.

Naturally you want full island damage buffs

Make sure you clear room to kite around.
Keep pet on passive and manually send them to attack the Priest to prevent accidental taunts to golems.

Use your AoE (RoF works best for locks) to ensure you aggro the golems so they don't kill your pet. Just kite the golems and collect loot.

I find the High Priests fairly easy to solo as a Heroic-geared Disc Priest equipped with the DPS cloak. Takes 2-3 minutes on average, but with ample Divine Aegis and Power Word: Shielding you should be fine (hint: might wanna glyph Reflective Shield and/or Inner Sanctum). I recommend doing a bunch of kiting with Angelic Feather and grabbing either the Celestial buff that reduces your damage taken or the Celestial buff that increases your stats by 20% in order to give yourself a cushion in case you accidentally get hit by their 800k Blazing Blows. I use a "/tar Eternal" macro to target and focus the Kilns down immediately with Penance/Holy Fire/SW:P since the Kilns haste-buff the High Priests, making them especially dangerous. (WARNING: Make sure your macro does not fixate onto an Eternal Kilnmaster add by accident. To alleviate this concern, I would usually face the Cauldrons and away from the adds and fire a Penance.)

There is definitely a technique to dancing with these mobs that is learned over time/through experience, but I will try to communicate a few points. First, a lot of the kiting is in a circular fashion to avoid the Blazing Blows. For this reason, one of the most dangerous things you can do with a High Priest is run directly away from it; if he Blazing Blows at you, you need to be prepared to curl to the side. Also, these mobs do NOT charge+stun you if you kite too far from their melee range, so don't worry about that while you're running around.

The best defense when you see them summoning an Eternal Kiln is to drop an Angelic Feather. With Feathers, you can outrun the mobs even when Kiln-buffed, but be prepared to juke a Blazing Blow as soon as they catch up. When Mindbender comes up, I usually wait for them to summon a Golem, I then kite far away with an Angelic Feather for several seconds, and then I pop Mindbender+Fade. As long as your pet is away from Golems, he can tank just fine. However, be prepared for your Mindbender to pop directly behind the mob after 5 seconds (Shadowcrawl), which causes the High Priest to turn around. In other words, don't stand directly behind the mob if you Fade aggro onto your Mindbender...

The location where I farm these is in Ordos' sanctuary as you enter; there are two High Priests on the far left and two more on the right. Inside the courtyard wall, you have about 10 yards of real estate before you stray into the aggro radius of the patrolling Kilnmaster mobs, etc. (Warning: Don't drop Mindbender next to an add!) I realize this is a narrow area in which to kite, but the High Priests chase you pretty far so you can use both sides of the courtyard as well as the doorway itself. I had better luck with the High Priests on the left side, though, because there are some pretty close adds on the right side. Once the High Priest drop below 50% health, they start damaging themselves due to Cauterize, so sometimes you just need to stay alive and on the move... and they will eventually kill themselves.

Finally, a couple pro-tips: You can use a Scuttler's Shell to decrease your aggro radius if you're worried about nearby adds, and you can use Black Ash to absolutely cripple their Cauterize heals! The Black Ash has a travel time of about a second, though, so you have to anticipate the Cauterize cast right at 50% HP or you'll probably be too late.

EDIT: By the way, I just wanted to add that although the flavor text implies that this is a VERY fast mount, in reality it is only slightly faster than normal ground-mount speed (275% vs. 220%). Still, it comes up instantly without the 1.5-sec cast time and is fun to use, so I am glad to have it at last!

I have been farming 歐朵斯高階祭司 for months in Three Breeze Terrace and have found kiting them to the Horde camp is by far the quickest and easiest way to farm the 2 that spawn with 火焰大祭司. If you are good at avoiding the 永恆掌窯使 or have a 螃蟹殼, you can just use your 挑戰之卷軸 and pull the 歐朵斯高階祭司 right away, or you can be cautious and clear the couple 永恆掌窯使s nearby so they don't charge you while fleeing. The 挑戰之卷軸 only costs 500永恆硬幣s, and if you can survive at least the 2 Priests, you will earn more than that every time. By the time the 3 main elite mobs are dead, the shrine required for summoning them should have respawned, as long as there isn't a raid of rep farmers taking your other kills while you're in the Horde camp.

The downside to dying on this strategy, aside from the obvious buff loss, is that you must then do more damage than the guards have done to regain your tag on the mob, and that is if another helpful player was not already attacking it. Because of this, actually not having any buffs is a better idea so that the guards will take aggro once you arrive.

As others have said with this mob, it is not a dps race! That 1% drop rate on 覆著灰燼的角 can make it quite a grind, so just practice tanking and let the npcs do all the work while nearby AFK players suffer the wrath of the Timeless Isle :)

This is by far one of the MOST useful items I have ever looted off Timeless Isle. I regret farming this so late in the expansion. I thought I'd rarely use it but I use it almost every cooldown, it's just so convenient. I couldn’t count the times I’ve missed tagging a rare by mere seconds or needed that quick get away from an upcoming blood coiner and this has helped with both.

I wanted to do some testing of various situations anyway to see if there was anything different (There's a TL;DR at the end). This is what I found:

-Instant cast, gives you 狂烈灰革牡山獸 a 20s duration mount at 275% speed. When the effect ends, you dismount. It has a 1min cooldown. You can only steer, you can’t stop it. You can slow it down by pressing the / button (or whatever your Toggle Run/Walk button is).
-You can click off the buff, which dismounts you.
-Can be stunned and slowed. If you’re dazed, you can sometimes get dismounted.
-Can only be used on Timeless Isle (despite not saying that anywhere) :(
-Can’t be used in combat. The item just greys out. Though, you can aggro stuff while being mounted and it'll just keep running.
-Can’t be used indoors. The only indoors areas on Timeless Isle are the caves and houses at Old Pi’jiu so walking in those places dismounts you.
-If you have water walking before you use it, it walks on water like a normal mount. If you use it in the water, it swims at normal swim speed which is 73% or 36% speed when you’re dazed (don’t use it in water…)
-You can cast 風鶴之羽 while mounted, like a normal mount, which boosts your speed to 325%. You can cover an absurd amount of distance at this speed, it's wonderful!
-Despite how fast you run at the boosted 325% speed, you cannot out run/out range the Fiery Charge by the Burning Berserkers or the Eternal Kilnmasters :(
-Casting any non-target spells cancels it and dismounts you and you will perform that spell. E.g. Thunderstorm, Shamanistic Rage, totems, Ra’Sha’s Sacrificial Dagger, Guild Banner, etc.
-If you run past an enemy, target them, and cast a spell (instant or cast-while-moving spells) you get dismounted and cast that spell on that enemy.
-If you try to cast ground-target spells (Earthquake, Healing Rain, etc) you get dismounted to start casting the spell, but the spell gets cancelled immediately because “Can’t do that while moving”.
-You can’t cast anything with a cast time, including normal mounts; because “Can’t do that while moving”.
-Clicking on a Time-Lost Shrine while mounted will dismount you so you can get the buff.
-If you have auto-run/numlock enabled when the effect ends, your character will continue running. If not, then your character will just stop.
-If another player casts Hardened Shell on you, it will dismount you.

TL;DR- It works exactly the same as a normal mount but it's temporary and FAST!

Just a quick notice, if you are in a group this item is not a solo loot, you will need to roll for it. After 5 weeks of spending time farming High Priests in sanctuary, helping people grind rep and despite always stating I was only there for the ash covered horn, I still had 3 people roll need and win, before I finally had it drop yesterday and no one else rolled for it so got it. SO if you go this route rather than a solo priest kill route, be aware. It is instantly soulbound and cant be traded. my drop rate was about 1 drop per 240 priest kills so much less than stated 1% drop rate, unlucky again i guess.
