Unfortunately this pet buff makes water striders very appealing for hunters who try to maximize their buff-potential, as in addition to the +5% crit buff which other pets can provide, this one also gives +10% spell power.

This buff is amazing as it seems to be the best of both worlds, giving both a constant +5% crit AND +10% spell power. This pet also allows us to walk on water, which is a fantastic solo buff. The only reason I really need to bring my Quilen is for the ever-popular Eternal Guardian, which can rez a party member.

Am I right to say this is an amazing pet to bring to any PvE group situation? I just want to make sure I'm not missing something obvious - I realize there are other buffs that may be ideal in certain groups, but this seems to be quite impressive.

I love this buff (as does my GM during raids when I bring my Hexapos lol) but I HATE how weak it is. I'm always reviving my pet more times that i'd like to count! Love that the buff gives me water walking though. Very useful in Timeless Isle!

In planning a new roster of pets for WoD raiding, I logged on just to ask one question for anyone in the beta who can find out...

This buff provides 10% Spell Power and 5% Crit in one combined buff.
Hypothetically, if your group consists of a Monk that provides 5% stats and 5% crit, again in one combined buff, but your group has no other source of 10% Spell Power; how would this scenario play out?

Would all three buffs apply to the group? Would the monk's take priority as a player, thus resulting in no spell power buff for the raid?
