Tried killing this guy when I got some skyfire dailys... Yeah, don't try to do it solo. He has a ability called Mortal Throw that deals a HUGE amount of damage... even as a tank it will hurt. So bring a awesome healer! Wonder if he drops anything...

EDIT: Heard from a fellow PTR tester that he doesn't do Mortal Throw if you're in melee range. Apparently also drops Honorable Commendation of Operation: Shieldwall and sometimes a brawler's guild invite.

One of the three rare spawns required for I'm In Your Base, Killing Your Dudes. The other 2 mobs for this achievement are Kar Warmaker and Muerta.

As there is a chance for these mobs to drop Blood-Soaked Invitation, expect these guys to be heavily farmed.

The invitations these mobs drop are BOP and are not a 100% drop. The rares can all be found in or right next to their respective faction's keeps and appear to currently have a 30-60 minute respawn timer.

Though I've only killed him twice his respawn timer was exactly 1 hour between those two kills. Haven't gotten my blood-soaked invite yet so will update if it changes.

Also, for those wondering he spawns on the bottom floor of the PVP tower and walks around in there.

UPDATE: 3rd kill, spawned after approx 45 mins, seems a fairly short respawn based off first two times.
UPDATE: 4th kill, spawned again at 45 mins, likely spawn time less or at 1 hour.

Found in the Dominance Point PVP Tower.

He uses an ability called mortal throw which hits for over 200k if you're too far away from him (think pandaren rares from Glorious and their Chi Burst) regardless of whether you're tanking him or not. Melee swings on me (mage) for about 13-15k MH, 7k OH.

After killing all three of them 12 times, it seems like the respawn time is between 35 mins and 1 hour. I've had Kar spawn again at 35 mins on the dot, but usually a little longer.

Ubunti walks around inside Domination Point tower (13/66). At any amount of health he will use Mortal Throw if you are more than 10yrds away from him, which causes around 200k physical damage. As a hunter my pet took most of the damage but I noticed Ubunti used Shank quite often and it would do a bit of damage to my pet and also stun it for about 2-3 seconds. He awarded 440 Black Prince rep for me as a Night Elf in a level 25 guild. For me he dropped 9 Domination Point Commission and Honorable Commendation of Operation: Shieldwall

Any correlation between the attack power of these champions and the towers/graveyards?

Myself (arcane mage) and demo lock owned Ubunti when the tower was Alliance owned, tried to do him again later when it was Horde owned and we got owned.

Why didn't ANYONE say that you have to complete the quests Meet the Scout , A King Among Men, Lion's Landing in order to BE ABLE to see the npcs? I made a wowhead account for this. I thought the people writing comments here were hardcore( in giving accurate advice) but I guess I was wrong.

Balance druid here. Went to horde place to see to see if rares were up and saw 5 people camping kar so I thought meh, then I remembered there were three of them so I went and check Muerta and she was there=D. Manage to get the first hit before another druid takes it but ended up dying because I had adds on me while said druid just watched. I then released and came back but when i got there the druid and his team was already killing her so I thought meh. When they killed her i thought meh ill go see if i can camp along for Kar. Then i remember this guy so I checked his spawn area and viola he was there. Once again I beat the same druid on the first hit but this time there was no other adds so i just ran around the whole tower while kiting him and avoiding mortal throw. Overall it was a very easy fight.
Oh and he also dropped commendation and brawler guild pass. It was my first kill on the rare group as well so I was pretty happy.

Alliance, beware! A crafty horde who has the tower captured can spawn guards on top of you. These guards are 90 elites and flagged for PVP-- hitting them or getting hit will flag you. If you're camping the tower deflagged and somebody captures it on you, be prepared for a possible trick to get you flagged and attack get you killed while on the boss.

this one was the hardest for me to kill, since he sometimes shadowsteps a far distance away from you, triggering Mortal Throw. this almost killed me, but nevertheless i managed to kill him. so if you have a ranged stun keep it for when he uses mortal throw.

So since everyone else is posting about what he drops and where he is, I'll actually chime in on how to fight him.

Pull him from the north side of the tower. If you pull from the south or west you risk him blinking toward other mobs (I died at 1% because he pulled a riding Orc - so that's a mob plus a weak mob, then when I hit Psychic Scream to get them off of me, it aggroed another mob).

It's mostly a tank and spank, but I would imagine that a class with a self heal and some form of damage mitigation will have an easier time of it. He will periodically cast Shank, which will leave you stunned for a couple seconds. He'll also shadowstep a good distance away. If you're too far away from him he'll cast Mortal Throw.

This is as bad as the name implies. Stay close to him. If you can't get there in time, use a ranged stun (Psychic Horror in my case). The one time I saw him start to cast it, I ran at him and he stopped casting when I got within a few yards, which seems to indicate that it has a minimum range.

So as long as you keep yourself healed and don't let him get off Mortal Throw, this is a very easy fight. Much easier than Muerta with that damned root and massive holy explosion crap she does.

Kind of piggy-backing off of what Olania said above... he's right. Make sure you clear any guards if you decide to pull from the East, West or South sides. North is pretty clear. It's an easy fight if you know how to move. Stay at close range at all times - or his throw ability will hit you for over 200k without a shield. Stay in melee range and as soon as he starts to cast Shank, jump about 5 yards away from him then move back in. His melee doesn't hit too hard at all. If he gets a Shank off, he will most likely Shadowstep away and then cast his Throw ability. So, make sure you stay on your feet and this will be an easily soloable Rare for you. Most difficult one to solo IMHO out of the three. Best of luck to you!

Got the invitation today on my druid. Can confirm, that it is soloable as a balance druid with 465 ilvl. Just keep dots on him, and heal through his damage. For most of the fight i kept him in his little room, but realised that it would be far easier if i used range as an advantage, then as stated, when i got far enough away he begang to cast Mortal Throw, which i then just went out of line of sight, then walked out so he could see me again. Then he would start walk over to me again. Rinse and repeat, and that's how i did :)

he teleports to all the horde in the area so do yourself a favor and kill all horde around the tower to prevent him from aggroing all the mobs onto you.

If anyone is able, could they please tell me what his hands and feet are. His armor set is Garona's battlegear from TotC but his hands and feet are compleatly different from the matching set. Ive checked pvp gear and possable leatherworking recipes but didnt find anything of value. Maybe I missed something?

Did this on my Lock. FIrst time, I was outside the tower as my voidwalker was engaging him inside. That didn't work... he did a Mortal Throw and at 200k+ a hit, I was dead in seconds.

The next time, I stood in the middle of the room. I pummeled him with CB and constant DPS. I did channel health to my Void one time. He died when Umbunti was at 30%. I popped my dark bargain and summoned my void back. This worked for me. DPS'd him down. Got 9 Domination and the Honorable Commendation.

the guard contract tower is awsome for this guy if u are camping this rare u may wanna cap the tower ahead of time(or not cuz on my server its like 8 to 1 in horde favor and that can atract attention while ur flaged) cuz a horde player can get into the tower while you fight him and use the contract...boom 4 elites flaged pvp ur flaged u have a rare spawn champ stun locking and dealing major dmg at range AND you have who knows how many players trying to kill you now.but you can also cap the tower and hire guards to help protect you.

If anyone is worried about soloing this Mob don't be it is a very simple fight just kite to the northern exit of the tower and kill him there, he does stun but his damage is very limited.

Killed him for first time ever today and got the blood soaked invitation. wasn't a difficult fight as ilvl 483 assassination rogue. popped standard damage cooldowns and then just stunned him whenever possible, used shadowstep when he ran away from me a popped a master healing potion. also used everyman for himself once when he stunned me.

As a DistroLock with the other two bosses I was able to send in my voidlord and kill from a distance, for him I had to get in close. Easy solo.

Spawn time seems to vary but today I killed him at 4:26 and then again at 5:01. so 35 min spawn which seems to be the fastest he can spawn.

The spawn timer is known to be between 30 minutes to one hour. I have a buddy who farms him constantly. Complaining he thought the top spawn time was 45 minutes. But he waited and EXACTLY 1 hour after his last kill, he respawned.

As a hunter, I have found the best strategy to solo this guy is to keep him in the tower. If you kite him outside, he can (and most likely will) blink away and drag other NPCs into the battle. Also, keeping him in the tower makes it easier to stay close enough to him that he doesn't use Mortal Throw - that's one nasty ability you want to avoid!

If your having problems with this guys stunning you like crazy you can do a weird kyting method because he spams the stun so much. Get in the habit of running away soon as he starts his stun, then back in. He will spam it even more then, causing his dps to decrease dramatically because he is locked in casting most of the fight.

Sure you lose dps while moving away, but your also not getting stunned for 3 seconds 100 times during the fight.

Make sure you close distance on him when he teleports away.

Incredibly easy fight as a melee. If you run out of melee range as he is casting Shank, he will simply stop and then run close to you, to try casting it again. All I did was simply run in and out of range to attack and retreat before he got the cast off, effectively dead zoning him.

I soloed him as a 90 prot pally.

I ran over to him everytime he cast the mortal throw or i hid behind a wall.

I selfless healed my self and word of gloried. :)

What it's like to be Ubunti the Shade <Champion of the Shadows>:
"Oh ! An Alliance invader ! I'll attack him !"
"Hah ! I'll stun you by casting my super slow Shank !"
...
"STOP MOVING !"
"Fine ! I'll use Shadowblink !"
"Damn ! I'm outside the building. I'll just use my super slow cast of Mortal Throw, prepare to die !"
...
"STOP MOVING OUT OF MY LINE OF SIGHT !"
"Fine. I'll come in again and finish you, casting my super slow Shank..."

He's the least dangerous of them all. Even backpaddling can save you here. The major threat is the combination of his HP and dps.

Granted I am a Bear tank, so things are already a bit easier to solo for me. I decided not to pull him out of the room he spawns in. Turned out to work for the best. The only spell he cast on me the entire time was the few second stun. His damage was minimal, I dont believe i fell below 90% health. So I suggest maybe giving this a try, at least if you are a melee class that wont be bothered by a small room.

This rare is on a 1h respawn timer.
Before patch 5.4.7 this NPC used to drop 250Honor Deprecated 3 per kill.
The drop was nerfed to only once per day for each of the three rares.

This macro lets you check whether you've already received your daily honor points by all the Krasarang faction Rares:
