Well we know that all the heirlooms are basically Vanilla weapon with some qualifier before its name. Also, taking into account that the vanilla weapons were usually with the same role intention and the fact that a monk would look natural with it, my guesses:

Reinforced Ironshod Bludgeon
Venerable Loksey's Training Stick
Blackened Nat Pagle's Fish Terminator

...Yeah, the Pagle one's a stretch. Probably Loksey's since they're redoing SM and there are monks in SM.

Edit: I've been thinking more about this and if the weapon was real, the Ironshod Bludgeon would be useful because of the loop on the end which adds weight (good for blunt force) and its similarity to the Pandaren starting staff model.

Ok we all know Blizzard is bringing back some iconic models for the heirloom weapons.
So I'm thinking Lok'delar, Stave of the Ancient Keepers or Atiesh, Greatstaff of the Guardian (which fits monks quite nicely). DO IT BLIZZ DO ITTTT.

They should replace Repurposed Lava Dredger with this staff because agility mace is only good for feral druids but this staff is good for Druids, Hunters and Monks.

Warden Staff was a BoE world drop staff that was extremely popular among Druids in Vanilla WoW.
That was mostly due to the fact that it has armor on it, which would get increased by Dire Bear Form, thus greatly increasing the bear's survivability.

It was THE feral weapon until release of Dragons of Nightmare world bosses, which brought with them Hammer of Bestial Fury, the weapon that holds the honor of having introduced the Feral Attack Power stat to the game, and later Ahn'Qiraj and it's Blessed Qiraji War Hammer, which was the second item ever to feature FAP.
And Warden Staff still remained BiS even after introduction of those items, as it provides triple the armor the FAP hammers do, while FAP itself wasn't so useful until Blizzard finally changed Feral's trademark talent to something that isn't Improved Pounce...

As with all other heirlooms, Blizz has done their research.

I hope we'll see another tanking or pvp heirloom in honor of Earthwarden, which was the most widespread Feral Druid weapon for most of TBC.

Don't forget to add a scroll of Enchant 2H Weapon - Agility!

Enchant Weapon - Crusader could also work, if you prefer prox, assuming Monks get 1 AP per Strength (like Rogues and Druids).

Edit: Confirmed on Beta! 1 Str = 1 AP (before scaling) for Monks, like other Agility users. Crusader is a viable choice.

Just checked the PTR and this item is being sold with the other justice heirlooms for 3500 justice points. Appears to have the same model as the staff its inspired from. Hope this helps everyone else that was looking for this item.

Can anyone in the PTR verify the stats of Burnished Warden Staff against dual wielding Venerable Mass of McGowan? Right now on WoWhead, the stats seem a bit off.

Does anyone know if this is going to be added pre-5.0? I'm sitting on 3800 JP on one of my toons and was looking into whether or not monks could wield two-hand maces and this turned up. I'm wondering if I should get something else with the JP or let it turn into gold and plan on farming again, once 5.0 goes live.

The item here seems fairly accurate although balancing my be necessary as far as stats. The dps is low as some people have mentioned but consider this: Monks are not getting auto-attacks so they will not be effected by the overall dps and feral druids have their attack speed set to 1.00 base in cat form and also will not be as effected by dps. The weapon damage is comparable to other weapons of its level however the stats are significantly higher. At level 20 it gives roughly 20 agility 30 stamina and 15 crit and haste which is leagues above say repurposed lava dredger which gives roughly 7 agility and 10 stamina and 4 crit and haste but it does offer 15 fire resistance. Thats a huge difference in stats so we might see that brought down, but it might stay this way because feral and presumably monks rely on stats more so than other classes as opposed to the actual weapon's damage

In response to mooninites7, monks DO have auto-attack, and it's been there since the beta opened (try to keep up). So the DPS of the weapon itself will very much come into play. Like any two-handed weapon, it also directly impacts how powerful the special attacks will be.

In response to Kulden, dual-wielding versus two-hander will vary based on spec. Right now, I believe the general consensus is that Windwalker will dual-wield and Brewmaster will use a two-hander, but this may change once the game goes live and we get a better idea of how folks are actually playing the different specs at max level. I think this staff is geared more towards leveling Brewmaster or Mistweaver, or feral druid.

Since it seems to be for sale everywhere else on PTR, I'm going to assume that the Darkmoon Faire will have it as well. I lost my Argent dailies when I faction changed, and haven't been stocking up any other currencies for this.

Formula: Enchant 2H Weapon - Agility and Formula: Enchant Weapon - Agility are the premiere enchants for MoP monks. Get the heirloom Burnished Warden Staff with the 2H enchant, or two Venerable Mass of McGowan with the 1H enchant.

Note that having a pair of enchanted Venerable Mass of McGowan gives you +30 Agility, while the enchanted staff only gets +25. It's not a major difference, so pick whichever heirloom suits your playstile.

Edit: As pointed out by others, this staff would also make an excellent match for Feral & Guardian Druids.

This is just like when blizzard changed the heirloom sword to agility; it's a pain in the butt. Now I have my druid with a mace, which is inferior to this staff because all kitty's want a weapon equipped with high damage. Even more JP farming for me to do.

The tooltip (currently displaying 207 agility and 311 stamina in wowhead) is wrong. In game, at level 80 it displays 68 agility, 103 stamina, 45 crit and haste and 251 dps. Hence it bears the same stats as the repurposed lava dredger except for the fire resistance which confirms the latter as a free stat.

If you have a high-enough character but want to save your justice points, a quick way to get 80 of the 160 dakmoon prize tickets is buying quest-launching items such as the Mysterious Grimoire.
Unfortunately you can only get 145 tickets per toon each month, but if one maximum-level toon already has a least 15 points the staff can be yours at the next faire.

As a Pandaren Monk, moreover as a melee, I find this model to be pretty bad. Usually I focus on stats and hope that it will look good. So yeah, I got this one and it looks awkward on a melee Panda. I just wanted other Pandas to look at it on me and see for yourself. I'm submitting a screenshot.

I just find that it is:

1) too long
2) looks like it has Christian iconography which is not very zen imo,
3) it is bland.
4) I look like a fat kid with a pogo stick.

That last part could turn out to be an advantage because my childhood angst of looking like a dork might increase my rage which would increase my dps? I need to turn this around to a positive somehow.

As of 5.2, the Level 80 Heirloom weapons and armor can be upgraded to scale up to level 85

Cost is the original item and either Darkmoon Faire Prize Tickets, JP (for heirlooms purchasable with JP) or Honor (for PvP itemized heirlooms purchased with honor)
