Didn't catch many of these in Valley of the Four winds, So i hopped down to Karasang river in Karasang Wilds. I'm currently fishing up the Paddlefish, Emperor Salmon, and Golden Carp.

I love me some Spoonbill. Spoonbill is another name for an actual fish named Paddlefish. They get their name from the long bill like structure made of cartilage. I'm honestly surprised Blizzard added this as one of MoP's fish considering there aren't any at all in Japan, and in China they are considered extinct. In the United States they can be fishing all along the Mississippi River and other smaller rivers in the central United States.

As the name implies this cooking ingredient is fished up in pools in the Krasarang Wilds (note that the river in the very southern portion of the Valley of the Four Winds that is the border between the Valley and Krasarang Wilds still contains these fish despite being mostly in the Valley) but it can also (at a much lower rate) be caught in any MoP open freshwater sources.

Fish Fellreed
Fish Fellreed is located at either (41.6, 30.0), or at Halfhill.

When you are level 90, if you have Twin Fish Platter x5 in your pack she will offer you a daily to turn those in to her for rep.
One Twin Fish Platter is made with Krasarang Paddlefish x2
When you are level 90, her favourite gift is Jade Cat along with Ella

Best Friends with Fish Fellreed
When she is your Best Friend, three ping pigs will be on the farm.
She will also post you a Special Seed Pack which has one of each of the special plants in it. These plants grow things like cloth, leather, ore, herbs, and motes of harmony.

When you are exalted with the Tillers and Best Friends with Fish Fellreed, she'll come and stand just inside the pen where the yak and the pig hang out. She doesn't appear to do anything.
If she's at the market she will not come to your farm and you must wait for a day when she is at "home" on her pier.

Tied up with the new Pandaren cooking, and the Tiller's reputation are some individual "reputations" associated with ten npcs which are located around Halfhill and the Heartland in Valley of the Four Winds. All the information you could possibly want on farming and the associated reputations can be found in Perculia's guide. Note that there is more information if you scroll up.

Schools of these are found in the Yan-Zhe River along the south of the Valley of the Four Winds and in the rivers Krasarang and Dojani in Krasarang Wilds.
These are also used in the cooking of the 10 and 25 man Oven Feasts.

*Edit: Found schools at the Gilded Fan east of Cattail Lake at Valley of the Four Winds. Will update with more locations as I find them.

I follow a path from the Yan-Zhe River down into KW, while there are plenty of these schools in VotFW, there are so many in all waterways of KW that you will have a hard time walking in a straight path (too distracted by all the fishing schools, lol). If you are farming this fish specifically, there are a few safe spots in KW where you will not get interupted by mobs trying to eat you, the two most easily accesable are the lakes along the northern stretch, near Thunder Cleft and Crane Wing Refuge, though waterwalking is needed to utilize most of the pools in them.

Personally I just fish in Y-Z River, since the Emperor Salmon schools are so plentiful, with few mobs right on the shore, I can always turn in ES for KP. =)

In 5.2, the daily event "Fish of the Day" will be added. One of the following nine locations will have this event going on. Each location has a specific type of fish that is quite plentiful to catch. Uploaded screenshots of the goblin NPCs throwing dynamite sticks at the Paddlefish.

Woods of the Lost, The Jade Forest: Jade Lungfish. Special pools are called Glowing Jade Lungfish because Sprite Dragons shoot arcane bolts at them.
Fields of Niuzao, Townlong Steppes: Redbelly Mandarin. Special pools are called Crowded Redbelly Mandarin which makes sense due to the tiny pond they spawn in.
Stormstout Brewery, Valley of the Four Winds: Emperor Salmon. Special pools are called Brew-Frenzied Emperor Salmon, which makes sense based on their proximity to the brewery.
Krasari Falls, Krasarang Wilds: Krasarang Paddlefish. Special pools are called Swarm of Panicked Paddlefish, most likely due to the Goblin NPC throwing dynamite at them.
Mad Qao Pao, Vale of Eternal Blossoms: Jewel Danio. Special pools are called Glimmering Jewel Danio Pool, since Mad Qao Pao, a very blingy Pandaren, periodically makes wishes and throws coins into the pool.
Binan Village Coast, Kun-Lai Summit: Spinefish. Special pools are called Sha-Touched Spinefish and the water has an oily appearance.
Sri-La Village, The Jade Forest: Reef Octopus. Special pools are called Reef Octopus Swarm and baby octopus run around the docks.
Gokk'lok Shallows, Dread Wastes: Giant Mantis Shrimp. Special pools are called Tangled Mantid Shrimp Cluster, as "Stuffed shrimp" sharks and seagulls periodically eat them.
Master Snowdrift's Pagoda, Kun-Lai Summit: Tiger Gourami. Special pools are called Tiger Gourami Slush, and nearby trainees cast blue bolts at them.

Last I saw him, he was at Krasari Falls. You should fish there today if you want Krasarang Paddlefish. I bet he's scaring them up left and right. Maybe if he sees other people fishing there, he'll deem the area overcrowded and leave.

Results of 100 successful casts at Cattail Lake in Valley of the Four Winds, on the dock where Fish Fellreed stands.

Note the the Flying Tiger Gourami is a bonus fish, which is picked up simultaneously with another fish. It therefore does not affect your percentages in Fishing buddy, for those who also use that addon. This fish starts the quest Flying Tiger Gourami, a daily quest that is turned in to Nat Pagle in Anglers Wharf. Mimic Octopus is another daily quest that is found by fishing and turned in to Nat Pagle as well.

I was fishing for KP, so this might not be the best place for this. I will try a different location another time and post more results.

The Large Swarm of Panicked Paddlefish ( 34.63, 34.25) is near Krasari Falls in Krasarang. It dropped several sealed crates, 100 or so paddlefish, the Flying Tiger daily fish (twice, I turned it in) and lastly the brawler guild tooth. Both times I've seen these giant swarms has been around 2 server time. Seeing how it drops everything a normal fishing pool drops I continued to fish and fish trying to get the turtle mount. I didn't get any luck and was about to stop, not because the giant fishing pool dried up, which it didn't, but because I noticed that fishing here wasn't counting towards the guild achievement for fishing pools. However, the mob called Krakkanon with about 20 million health showed up. Needless to say I was a bit surprised. I killed him with the help of a friendly Horde paladin and he dropped 20 fish.

solid spot is the pool where Krakkanon spawns in Krasari Falls. If you park on the raft in the pool at 34.64 34.24(it may move locations) and fish the Large Swarm of Panicked Paddlefish, it is almost a constant hit. I believe(not for sure, but seems like) the Panicked Pool allows you same hits in the middle, or anywhere, you don't need to hit the circumference ring. AND it doesn't de-spawn, you can fish it all day!...

My experience in open water fishing at the peer on the western part of Cattail Lake is as follows:

It also seems like one no longer catches junk/gets failed attempts after skill level 675.
