This is incredibly bizarre, but it happened three times in a row.

All three times I initiated a pet battle with the Mongoose Pup (different pups - it was three of them with a Mongoose); a rare Mongoose and a rare Yakrat spawned with it.

I don't know if this is just crazy luck or RNG on the fritz, but wow!
