This quest has a bug on 5.0.5

After the cinematic it never went back to my character. A relog fixed it and I could hand in the quest.

....her name was Leza :(

We have spells that can heal the damage from a thousand cannon shots, but for some reason they can't handle a breach-baby birth.

And why didn't he just rez her afterward?

Fair warning, if you are the slightest bit sentimental, get teary eyed, or emotional at things, you are going to be absolutely wrecked by this quest. I'd already heard about it and it tore me apart. Saddest quest in the game right now.

did this make anyone else think of the potential for a starwars themed questline(with tuaren)... 2 twins and their mother died at birth, but we dont know the gender of each yet
also upon turning in the quest he says i the textbox "... for all the powers the light has given me, i was not able to save her" of course with starwars i beleive it was the power of darkness, sry not a huge starwars buff

I was very suprised to see such a scene in wow, childbirth makes so many people squemish. Soon after I did this quest my guildmate started to watch the scene, he claimed to become sickened by the thought of a tauren giving birth and hit the esc key.
I yelled at him untill he promised to watch the whole thing. For Leza.

Hm, lorewise Tauren Paladins are Sunwalkers and get powers from sun, but he still talks about Light. It seems Blizzard designers don't exactly remember this stuff themselves.

This is the kind of quest that keeps my paladin Horde, even when most of my other characters are Alliance. The Tauren are my favorite race among the Horde, and my Blood Elf would rather spend time with them than with her own kind.

As a holy paladin I've healed many grievous wounds, gashes from dragons, burns from elemental flame, I have even brought people back from the brink of death, for the first time I witnessed, The light isn't omnipotent.

I wonder if the knowledge of Immortality?'s conclusion has any bearing on this... He DID say he was going to use the water of youth.

Maybe the horns aren't why Leza died.

The truly tragic thing about this quest is it's all Dezco's and the player's fault.

In the Alliance questing, you learn that drinking the water sucks the life out of you and transfers it to someone else. A night elf uses it to save his daughter by sacrificing himself.
When Dezco gave some to Leza, that's what killed her.

Such a strange quest. Such a deep subject but the graphics are so bad they ruin it. They can't even put a pregnant belly on the tauren mother?

Didn't touch me at all like it did most people here due to the bad graphics, just wasn't real at all.

Its a confirmed fact that if you don't cry, don't get misty-eyed, or even a wee bit choked up, even a slight bit, you have no soul.

This is one of the saddest quests I've ever seen in the game, specially as he desperately casts holy light on her over and over trying to save her.

At least his sons are alive.

While I know that the Tauren's are supposed to have a lot of Native American attributes, with a dead one roasting over a fire, all I could think of was BBQ. A yummy end to a sad tale.

When you start the quest by talking to Sunwalker Dezco and telling him to be by his wife, a scene will occur.

Sunwalker Dezco says: You are right, <name>. I should be there for Leza. Thank you.

Sunwalker Dezco then walks into the hut where Nala and Leza Farwalker is, while your character walks to the side of the tent and sits.

Leza Farwalker says: Dezco... it hurts... it... AAAHHH!
Nala says: Something's wrong. The baby's turned the wrong way.
Leza Farwalker says: Dezco, where are you?

Sunwalker Dezco quickly runs to the side of Leza Farwalker and kneels.

Sunwalker Dezco says: I'm here, Leza.
Leza Farwalker says: My love... whatever happens... you must protect our... our child...
Leza Farwalker yells: GAAAHHH!
Sunwalker Dezco yells: Leza!

He quickly stands up and starts to cast a couple of healing spells on Leza Farwalker. Your character quickly stands up and runs into the tent.

Sunwalker Dezco yells: LEZA!

The scene fades out, and then reveals the empty tent where Leza Farwalker used to be with a few flower bouquets.

Fang Bramblestaff will enter the tent, kneels in front of the flowers for a moment and then stands up and leaves the tent. It's likely that Fang Bramblestaff left a bouquet of flowers for her as well.

The camera will then hover over to the side where there are several NPCs, including your character, around a funeral pyre of some sorts, grief stricken.

Your character will then walk away from the funeral pyre to another tent, where you see Sunwalker Dezco kneeling over a baby calf, likely praying for him. After a few moments, he stands up and walks over to the other side of the tent. The camera moves slightly to reveal that he and Leza has given birth to twins. Dezco also prays over the other calf.

The scene fades out.

It was a very bittersweet yet touching scene.

You can also replay the scene by right clicking on Leza's Totem outside the tent where she has died as well.

If you talk to Sunwalker Dezco in the tent where the two calves are, he will say this:

The visions we had failed to mention this event.

Which begs the question: Did they REALLY not expect it, or did Leza have the vision of the calves and her own death but did not tell Dezco about it? I guess we will never know...
