These are grown on Sunsong Ranch. They can be farmed in addition to all other sources of Motes of Harmony. Farming takes roughly about five minutes a day and yields one mote per plant. There is a limit to the number of plants you can have is 16 at exalted.

You need to be at least Revered with The Tillers to purchase the seeds. Also, 郝瀚·泥爪 will send you three seeds when you become Best Friends.

Harvests a Single Mote of Harmony.

If your farm is fully upgraded you will be able to harvest 16 motes, so at least 1 spirit of harmony a day or 3 every two days.

Apparently this seed can not become a bursting songbell, like other seeds. Thus no endless Motefarming.

If your profession is enchanting, 魔法鳞茎种子 is vastly superior to 欢歌铃种子 to gather enchanting mats. Here is why:

Harvest either produces 灵魂尘 (usually 4-5) or 神秘精华. I have a farm with 12 slots, 4 of which were used for other plants. The others are for 魔法鳞茎种子 and I yielded 25x 灵魂尘 and 2x神秘精华 or roughly 50x灵魂尘 and 4x神秘精华 for a farm with 16x魔法鳞茎种子 planted.

For a character with enchanting, it is more beneficial to plant 魔法鳞茎种子 seeds over 欢歌铃种子 2 Days of planting 魔法鳞茎种子 will net you roughly 28 神秘精华 because if I double the size of my farm and grow for 2 days I would roughly net 100 灵魂尘 and 8 神秘精华

2 days of harvesting 欢歌铃种子 will get 3.2 祥和微粒 (or 3x祥和之灵) which will = 15x神秘精华. 灵魂尘 is the least efficient thing you can buy with a 祥和之灵 as you will receive 20 and it takes 5 to covert to 1x 神秘精华. It takes 5 神秘精华 to = 1x飘渺碎片. 1x祥和之灵 will get you 20x灵魂尘 or 5x 神秘精华 or 1x飘渺碎片. This makes 5x 神秘精华 and 1x飘渺碎片 an equal trade when purchased with a 祥和之灵.

So this would make 魔法鳞茎种子 superior to 欢歌铃种子 for enchanters.

Using your Farm for Ironpaw Tokens

So, I have a 16 slot farm, I've maxed all the cooking ways, and I'm done with rep for the tiller personas. All I want right now, are the vanity items, and my apprentice. For that I need many, many ironpaw tokens. So I plan to use my farm for max ironpaw token output. So I either get loads of veggies (plant whatever the forecast tells me to plant) - or plant 欢歌铃种子.

Vegetables: The forecast for today was 爽脆胡萝卜 for me. I got a 115 of them after harvesting all 16 plots. Which is 1 ironpaw token.
欢歌铃种子: If I plant 16 of them, I'll have 1 祥和之灵 and 6 祥和微粒. Which is also 1 ironpaw token.
Note: 祥和之灵 can be turned in for ironpaw token at 达奇 for the Horde and 克里斯托 for the Alliance.

However!

If we take the above, and apply it to 2 days worth of farming, we get:
115 × 2 = 230 爽脆胡萝卜 = 2 ironpaw tokens
16 × 2 = 32 欢歌铃种子 = 3 ironpaw tokens

So from that, I can say that in the longer run, 欢歌铃种子 give you more ironpaw tokens from your farm. So if you just want ironpaw tokens and don't care about mats for cooking, 欢歌铃种子 is the way to go.

So how long will it take me to get 50?
Note: I'm including the daily cooking reward in here because you'll likely be doing that alongside your mote farming. Also, keep in mind that when you complete the quest 成为大师 you get 10 tokens.

The answer is 2 weeks and 2 days (or 16 days). You can always do it quicker by doing 赞助食堂 of course, but this is just with using your farm and doing the cooking daily.

Some math:
16 × 16 = 256 = 25 祥和之灵 = 25 ironpaw tokens
So after 16 days, we'll have 25. Plus 16 dailies means (25 + 16 =) 41 tokens!

Here's some math for you:

If you plant 10 欢歌铃种子 you get 1 祥和之灵, which can be turned in for 1 Ironpaw Token.
1 Ironpaw Token can purchase 25 of a vegetable (ex 一袋爽脆胡萝卜).
On the other hand, you can plant, say, 10 爽脆胡萝卜种子 in those same 10 farm plots and get, at minimum, 50 爽脆胡萝卜s (often more than that).
Therefore, if you're making any kind of serious attempt to level cooking or get 熊猫人烹饪大师, don't plant 欢歌铃种子; as tempting as it is to get some guaranteed motes, it's a massive waste of your farm plots.

(Once you've mastered all your ways, however, you may consider making the switch, since you won't need the ingredients so much as the tokens at that point).

This is without a doubt the most efficient way to farm motes as a solo player per day. You can even trade them in for Ironpaw tokens. Very useful indeed for cooking ALL specialties past 575.

I've been growing nothing but Songbells for over a month now, and have found a 100% rate of "problem" with my crop.
In other words, every single Songbell Seed will give either "alluring", or "critter", or "parched", etc...

Of 16 farm slots, I will have 16 "problems". Every single day.

Is this unique to the specialty seeds? Or just incredibly, unrealistically bad RNG?

I know that, unlike regular fruit/vegetable seeds, Songbell Seeds will never give you a fully mature plant immediately upon planting.

But I clearly remember "problems" being a minority of the planting with regular seeds (ie: few critters, birds, weeds, etc...).

I planted a full farm of these, and just noticed "Hey, they've got a health bar of 84 HP each", and continued to think "When will Songbell Battles come into play?"...

Then while running around the farm I threw some healing spells; Power Word: Shield, Renew, and then I threw Cascade and it bounced back and forth between the Songbell Seeds...

It's just a matter of time now... World of Warcraft: Songbells of Sunsong!
