There is a chance to discover "Optional Reagent" recipes during an Engineering "Tinker Malfunction". The 10-minute on-use cooldown for these tinkers will reset after killing a raid boss. A good practice for triggering these discoveries is to clear older raid content for more malfunction chances. The following are all of the recipes that can be discovered, including their respective quailty level.

What that thing does is turn your wrist or goggles into a usable item. Every ten minutes you can use it to LITERALLY GRAB A FLAMETHROWER and roast 'em enemies up (yes, it has an amazing animation as well). The indicated amount of damage is done over 6 seconds, during that time period you can move freely and control the direction the flame goes as it deals damage to the enemies in front of you.

Of course, since it's channeled, it deals damage with several ticks, each of those ticks may crit individually (i.e. it unfortunately won't crit for the entire massive amount).

Overall it looks fun, the visuals are great, the damage is nice, but cooldown is on par with Lay on Hands, which is really long. But, again, as a little supportive damage on the side it is really good.

Simply not enough info on this: I have questions:

Firstly, can anywhere sim this?
A 6 sec channel is a LONG time, can you pull out more that's at tier 3 of the 80,263 /3 = that's a 26.7 k dps - question is, do you normally do more than 26.7k dps - as a dps, that might not be enough at higher levels, but for a healer it might be a nice little boost.
So is it a cast and forget or will you only be able to channel?

I'm trying to figure out if this better than getting a wrist drop of the same ilvl with a socket in it.

Take an 88 mastery/crit/haste gem - which is constant on you, will that be a bigger damage boost than 80,263 every 10 mins, that locks you out of doing any other action.
