How does one find these so called Thin Jelly? I have loaded all the way points and still haven't seen a single jelly. Does one have to be poisoned in order to see them? At this rate, this will take forever.

Going into settings and changing your ground clutter to 1 is very helpful for finding these.

I cannot see the thin jelly anywhere, I have already spoken to hive mother, she is in the cave and i can click on her and the rep bar is on my rep thingy. I'm flying around and can see nothing, I've even paired up with someone and they can see it an I can't :( HELP!

Can be bought and sold on the AH since it's not BoP, so if you have some extra gold and don't wanna farm, or need a few extra to finish the grind you can look there.

Step 1: Have your Bumbles or Seabreeze pet (Tiny pair of wings - Brennadam Faction vendor pet 250 pet charms) out and head over to Barry near the FP at the Milldenhall meadery, he is by the boat on the water.
Step 2: talk to Barry
Step 3: Your bee pet will fly around the green cloud mist.
Step 4: Talk to Barry and he will say something along the lines of Maybe your little friend can help you locate the hive
Step 5: Follow the Green cloud Mists to 63, 23 ish ( Hive location) you pet will follow you, do not wait for it to do anything special.
Step 6: The big bee shows up, Hive Mother
Step 7: Barry says maybe you can find a way past her, head over to the lake around 62, 28 and loot the Jelly Deposit for a Thin jelly. Take that back to the Hive Mother and feed her. VOILA access to the cave.
Step 8: Head into the cave with Barry.
Step 9: Listen to Barry cause he gives you a Thin jelly to feed the GRUB in the Honey Comb. DO THAT
Step 10: Barry leaves the cave and you are now free to hunt the Jelly deposits all over Stormsong Valley.

Side Note. Thin jelly=20 rep, combining the jellies to Blue or Royal is the same rep x 4 or X 8 so save time and just upgrade the jellies instead of turning in 1 at a time.

Just noticed, grouped with a friend, that unlike what folks were saying on Patch Day, these are lootable by both of us over a few seconds. No idea if this is a Blizz fix or if it despawns so quickly that it appeared that way to other players.

Update: Today had friend wait for maybe 3 seconds after I looted the Jelly. She was told "You cannot loot that item now". So looting by second person needs to be done quickly.

A quick jelly farming survival guide:

- Pick up a few Monel-Hardened Stirrups and and Course Leather Bardings. This will allow you to collect jelly while mounted, and prevent you from being dismounted if you're attacked while collecting.

- As many others have mentioned, setting "Ground Clutter" to 1 in system settings will help you see jelly a bit better.

- The Beeholder's Goggles you can buy from Barry are an absolute MUST at Revered. They speed up the farming process massively, and should be your top priority.

- If you're lucky enough to pick up a Jelly Magnet or two, save them until you have the goggles -- the magnet probably gets you about 20% more jelly over a half-hour period, so it's way more efficient to use them after you buy the goggles.

- Be(e) prepared for a lot of fails while collecting. Some nodes will phase out as you approach them. Others will routinely say "invalid target" or "you can't loot that right now." If you're going to farm for a few hours, just factor this in as part of the process.

- If you have alts, the jelly can be sold on the AH or traded on the same server, so you have the option of farming the Honey Smasher on multiple alts each day (who often gives a Royal and/or Rich jelly on your first kill of the day, as well as a chance as some of the new pets).

- Note that the quest for the mount is offered only when you level the Nascent Harvester in the cave through Juvenile to Mature. It's possible (and likely) you'll hit Exalted with the Honeyback Hive faction before the bee reaches maturity, so be prepared to farm a little extra jelly after Exalted to get the quest for the mount.

Hey all. Just hit exalted today and thought I'd share my experience of grinding the jellies for rep. The grind really does consist of two distinctly separate grinds; Neutral-Revered and Revered-Exalted. Be prepared for a long grind. It took me maybe 9-10 hours of farming to get to revered and took maybe another 3-4 hours to get to exalted.

Neutral-Revered
Once you've completed the intro quests and unlocked the reputation, the vast majority of your rep will come from the Thin Jelly turn-ins. You can get these from the nodes which spawn randomly in the zone, the events that spawn every 20 minutes or so and the Smasher rare, which you can loot once a day.

When farming the nodes, this is the general route I took: https://imgur.com/a/ES2Ap7r . It doesn't cover every single spawn location, but the route covers well over 90% of them and I had a lot of success with it. Remember, the route is just a basic guideline, you should weave around a little whilst flying to cover more area. There isn't really a trick to farming the nodes. As others have suggested, setting the Ground Clutter Density option to 1 will help you see them and you can see them from quite a distance away, but it's all about keeping a sharp eye on the screen and spotting them as you fly.

Remember if you have a ton of gold you can buy the jellies off the AH, but imo they are absolutely not worth the price atm. A lap of the zone takes maybe 10-12 minutes before revered and yields anywhere from 15-25 jellies without the magnet buff. The amount of gold you'd spend for that 10-12 minutes of work is nowhere near equivalent.

If you have a bunch of alts you can also kill the Smasher rare once per day for the rare and epic jellies and can mail them to your main, but again for the time spent doing this, I'd say it's not worth it. You can probably get just as much if not more by flying around on your main gathering the normal jellies.

Events are a tricky one to judge whether they're worth the time. If there's a bunch of people taking part and you can complete 15+ waves, they're definitely worth it, if not however, I'd say don't be too concerned about missing out. Without completing 15+ waves and killing a rare for the quest, you only usually get an average of 3-9 jellies, which for the time spent flying to the event and participating, comes close to, or even worse than, the amount you'd gather naturally by just flying around. There's also the chance you get no loot at all, which is a fun bug.

It's also worth noting that trying to farm the jellies at peak time will lead to a lot of despawning nodes and the dreaded invalid target/can't loot messages. Extremely frustrating but not a lot you can do about it. Just keep at it and you'll eventually hit revered.

Revered-Exalted
This is where the grind becomes significantly easier. If you can, save 20 Rich Jelly for revered, or around 80 Thin Jelly, which you can convert to 20 Rich Jelly via the Bee vendor. Using these, you can buy the Beeholder's Goggles from Barry outside the cave. This allows you to see the jelly nodes on your minimap, completely trivialising the grind.

At this point you should pretty much ignore everything except the nodes. I tried to loosely follow the route from the map I linked, but a lot of the time I was actually just going straight from node to node using the minimap. At this point, a loose lap of the zone takes 20-30 minutes and can yield anywhere from 60-100 jellies.

This part is the home stretch. Once you've got the goggles it's really surprising how quickly the last part of the rep takes. Be aware that when you hit exalted, chances are you'll still need to farm a few more jellies for the friendship level of the bee, but it goes by fast thanks to the goggles.

These Jelly nodes seem to load in way before any characters or small details so try looking far ahead of you where landscape is much easier to pick apart.

I've been getting good results this way.

When you're looking for the honey lower the environment detail and ground clutter to 1. It makes it so much easier!

Don't make the same mistake I did. After the roleplay between Barry and the Hivemother, Barry mentions that you should try giving jelly to the baby bee stuck in the honey. Don't ignore this. I spent 40 minutes looking for jelly and did two beevents without getting anything but vendor trash because I hadn't fed the jelly to the bee the first time. After you do it, Barry mentions that you should look for more and heads outside. This seems to trigger your ability to see the spawns.

TL;DR: Feed the jelly to the bee the first time or you can't see the spawn points.

The Thin Jellies are very easy to spot once youve adjusted your eyesight to them! People generally farm these while circling the mountains, which is more or less the outskirts of Stormsong Valley, and around the northern bee hive.. But if you start circling the center of the map, around 49,59 (Deadwash) you will find them in abundance. I farmed 40 in 10minutes. Have fun

I hope this is allowed, but I am really surprised no one has mentioned this already (afaik)... There are a couple of addons that make collecting the jelly a breeze from start to finish:

GatherMate2 with GatherMate2_Data, and Routes

GatherMate2 can pull all node locations from _Data and populate your maps with them, then use Routes to (you guessed it) create a route to follow.

Easy peasy jelly squeezy!

Edit to mention: Adding Gatherer to your arsenal of addons also allows your route to adjust itself on the fly if you find new nodes not already marked!

Good luck to anyone whos trying to fill the quota now. It seem that Thin Jelly now only feed the bee 5 points.
So .. instead of the 20 ( and thus 2100 jellies ) you will now need 5 times that amount... 10500 Thin Jelly!

Can alts who haven't completed the quest line gather this?

The turn-in is affected by the Dark Moon WHEE! buff that awards 10% reputation bonus. The daily killing of the Honey Smasher also jumps from 500 rep to 550 rep. So ride the roller coaster or carousel each day when DMF is up.

I was trying to figure out how to turn in the thin jelly, and then realised you need to talk to the Nascent Harvester (small bee trapped in honey) and click repeatedly to turn in your jellies.

Things I have tried to harvest--as in, swooped all the way down to get only to be disappointed--that are either definitely or probably not Thin Jelly:
1. A glob of honey on the ground
2. A fence post
3. A bald man's head
4. Countless Monelite Deposits
5. Several sheep
6. A sleeping grizzly bear
7. A dead lumberjack (he's a yellow-skinned orc, OK?)

Let's make it clear, your Harverster baby bee will give you its Honeyback Harvester's Harness so you can mount it once you feed it and it becomes an adult. Reaching exalted with the Honeyback Hive will do nothing. You will need a total of 263 Royal Jelly to grow your baby Harvester to an adult (Nascent Harvester 3,500 and Juvenile Harvester 7,000. Each Royal Jelly awards 40 growth points).
Once your Harvester becomes an adult, it'll give youLeaving the Hive which rewards the mount. You will reach Exalted with the Honeyback Hive rep sooner than your baby Harvester reaches adulthood because you'll probably kill the daily rare elite who awards 500 rep points toward the hive, but not the baby bee.

TLDR
Feed your Nascent Harvester 263 x Royal Jelly to reach adulthood and get it as a mount. Don't worry about the Honeyback Hive rep.
