Purchased from the Guild Vendor for 300 gold (reduced by guild rep). Available to guild members upon completion of Challenge Warlords: Gold - Guild Edition. This item likely requires revered guild reputation to buy, like the Thundering Serpent Hatchling did.

Edit: Notaturnip has confirmed that it does require Revered reputation with the guild to buy from the vendor.

I just bought this wonderful battle pet, so I want to share with you my little "master plan" that worked out fine and allowed me to get it.

The source - the pet can be bought only from the respective quild vendor, if:
1. The guild has this achievement - Challenge Warlords: Gold - Guild Edition
2. The character buying it must have the guild reputation at Revered

The problem - you (just like me) are in a guild that does not have that achievement and your server is probably dead, so you do not even know guilds on your server that will be willing to accept you as a trial, so you grind up the necessary guild reputation.

The solution in several steps.
1. Go to realmpop.com and choose a realm and a faction. Your best chances are those with highest populations - like EU Alliance on Outland/Silvermoon/Ravencrest or EU Horde on Stormscale/Kazzak/Draenor. I found a guild on EU Horde Kazzak (as I already had character there).
2. Create a lvl 1 character with a race and class that you are likely to enjoy levelling to around lvl30.
3. Go to the guild recruitment tab and start searching for a guild - with all options on. Look for guilds with high member counts (like over 200) and hign achievement points (like over 1800). Check them on battle.net (search their names, so you can check whether they have the achievement). This can be a long process. I went through at least 15 guilds, before I struck gold.
4. If you found one - move to step 5, if not - back to step 1.
5. Apply to the guild. If they are only accepting raiders - plead with them to allow your lvl1 toon to stay around for a day or two. If you are lucky like me - they will probably accept socials/levellers.
6. Grind that guild reputation! You can send Renowned Guild Tabard to your toon. Heirlooms also help!
7. Buy the pet!

P.S. The reason I am not directly sharing the name of the guild with you is that I do not have the guild owner's persmission to do it, whom I never found online. I found the guild in 30min searching, so there are some alt/socials friendly guilds out there that will accept you and give you a chance for the pet.

A great resource for finding guilds with the achievement who are willing to help collectors is WarcraftPets.com. Check the forums for guilds offering to help. While you are there, sign up and use the site to help manage your collection.

I just got mine tonight, thanks to an awesome host guild on Hyjal, who are, as of this writing, still accepting pet collectors. In case anyone's still needing that pet, here's how I got mine in about 4 hours or so (your mileage may vary).

As previously mentioned in annhala's post, check warcraftpets.com for a host guild. In addition to the forums, you can also look at the comments on the Deathwatch Hatchling's page, sometimes hosters post there.

I created a lvl 1 priest (so I could heal queue once I got to 15, which is my preferred role/class--a lot of people go the DK route). I then got invited to my host guild and sent my new priest 6 Renowned Guild Tabard. They're purchasable from a guild vendor (in SW/Ogr) for 250g each, once you are revered with your guild. You can mail your tabards cross realm by typing charactername-realmname in the recipient field. I equipped one of my tabards and vendored the rest. They vendor for 62g 50s, so you'll lose gold vendoring them, but it's the fastest way to get gold on a realm where you don't know anyone. Alternatively, you can, of course, sell your tradable pets, but for me, that would take too long. That'll get you to 312g 50s, plus whatever you've made from questing.

With the tabard equipped, each quest you turn in will net you, as of this writing, 250 guild rep per turn in (275 for humans). It's now ridiculously fast to get to revered, which is the required guild rep to purchase the pet from the guild vendor.

Some other tips:
Use heirlooms
Ask a friend with a two person flying mount to quest you (or at least fly you to SW/Ogr to pick up your new pet! =)
Do all quests you see, even if they're low level, because rep is rep
Donate leftover gold (or pets to sell), if you're done with that character after you've gotten your new pet, to your host guild as a thanks

I'd like to offer the pet battle community the opportunity to obtain this pet in our guild and anything else they need from our vendor. <Blacksmithing Supplies> has been on US-Oceanic-Barthilas PvP-Horde since 2009.

Join the server and type /who supplies for a list of online members. Anyone will be able to invite you to guild.

I'd prefer people to gain rep in a somewhat timely manner. Anyone offline for a couple of months will be removed. We are a very active guild, but we also have ample space for growth of active players. I would be delighted if anyone looking for a change of scenery decided to stick around with us.

Our vendor sells mounts including the Thundering Cloud Serpent, Dark Phoenix and Kor'kron Annihilator. Pets include Dragonwrath Whelpling (Lil' Tarecgosa), Dark Phoenix Hatchling, Guild Page & Herald and Armadillo Pup. Other items include tailored guild shirts, teleport cloaks, garrison standards and battle banners, all guild heirlooms including legs and the Cataclysm feast & cauldron recipes.

We're recruiting mature, casual people for levelling, CMs, raid ach & Rated BGs in Legion. Heirlooms, repairs, 50-ch Ventrilo, guild bank. #4 Barthilas Guild Ach pts & #9 Horde, all Oceanic realms.

Deathwatch Hatchling for those who need it.

This pet is a guild achievement for doing the Challenge Modes in a previous version of the game, which makes it extremely rare. Was formerly believed to be unobtainable at pre patch, but guild vendors still have it.

If you need it, we're allowing people to come get it. Takes revered reputation with guild and costs 300 gold.

Believe we have all of the unlockables a guild can earn at this point in time.

If you still need this pet, you can join Vitium guild on Mal'Ganis - Horde. Make a new toon and grind er up or transfer.

Don't forget to wear guild tabard for rep grinds (Buy it on your main, and mail it over to your Mal'Ganis lowbie). Additionally, you can buy guild tabard on your other server character, and transfer it to your Mal'Ganis character to sell for about 62 gold a piece.

Anyone in guild can invite. We are primarily a higher content raiding guild. Members of our guild are welcome to stay and play Wow or other games with us at any skill level.

Duplicating my post from warcraft pets;

Nephilim on Silvermoon Alliance (EU) has this and most of the other guild achieve pets/mounts - the guild itself isn't active any more (we stopped raiding pre-legion) but I'm happy to invite people to the guild to earn the pet.

I don't play on the server anymore - but add me on battle net (Ash#2557)/discord (ashelia_87) and I'll log over and invite if I'm available. I've also set everyone to be able to invite, so if there's anyone online they should be able to help you grab the pet as well!

EDIT: Still offering this (now in 11.2) - I've opened the guild recruitment and will be checking a couple of times a week and adding those that apply.

A few notes on getting Deathwatch Hatchling

I get the Battle Pet on December 3, 2019.

I bought it at the Guild Vendor in Stormwind, my reputation with the guild got revered, the price was 300G.

Attention pet appeared in the offer until I had a proper reputation, not before.

Time spent with character level and reputation was 14 hours.
I leveled as a hunter, using the following Heirloom: Head, Neck, Shoulder, Back, Chest, Legs, 1x Ring and Bow.

It seemed quicker to do quests, part I spent in Dungeon.
Leveling was not optimal because I didn't have money (Gold)

I tried to sell Battle Pety on AH, but no one bought them.

I found another trick, Guild tabard can be sent cross-realm, buy it for 250G, and then sell it back to vendor for 62G. You can send even more tabard at once. There is a financial loss, but with the money levels up significantly faster.

I just want to confirm that Inversion guild on Ravencrest US server are very welcoming and even list the pet in the Guild Finder description. Awesome friendly guild for both mains and alts. I think they have the Guild mounts too (I already had them so they didn't show up).

Here is how you get Deathwatch Hatchling,

Go to https://guildsofwow.com/looking-for-guild

Select: Region, Realm and Faction.
Sort after: By Achievement Rewards.

Press the Achievement Rewards button on guilds and go down the list an see if they have Challenge Warlords: Gold - Guild Edition. If you find some that has 25/25 they have everything. But some with 23/25 og 24/25 could also have it.

Now just contact the guild ingame or make a request to join. Some guilds might be inactive.

NB. You need 300g on the character you need to buy it with.

Edit: A tip: If you can't find a guild on your server, and decide to create a level 1 on another server that has the achievement. You can buy a pet and cage it and sell it on the new server. Might take a while. But then you dont need to go out and farm the 300g.

Edit 2: You also now need Guild Reputation to be able to purchase this pet. You can buy the Renowned Guild Tabard to help with the reputation. You need revered status. You will most likely find the 300g while you farm the reputation.

My guild Southside Serpents on Emerald Dream Horde has the pet unlocked if anyone wants to earn the rep to buy it. Put in an application through guild finder. We are still accepting applications through the guild finder as of 8/2/24!

Hello, I am the GM of the Guild Menace to Sobriety on NA-Area52. We have all cosmetic guild reward achievements, including the Deathwatch Hatchling. I would like to invite anyone who wants this pet to join, you can grind the rep and gquit once you have the pet if you like, as well as all the other rewards, according to guildsofwow, we are 25/25 all guild achievement rewards.

Best way to join is to put in an app through guild finder. The guild is super casual, as am I, but we keep our guild finder advertisement current in the Looking For Guild interface.

Found "Southside Serpents" and "Vitium" via guild finder by searching for "Deathwatch".
They both accepted my request in a couple of hours, I went with the Serpents, and I bought three hatchlings

Hopefully this helps someone get their pet!
