I figured this one out with my peanut brain:

The Curse Surges start at a set time (you can see the time and location on the Event page next to your quest log).
But as there are many players playing at the moment, they are completed within minutes! That's why I had a hard time finding them.

So go be at the right location at spawn time and you'll see the event.
Quests:
Counter Curse Bounty
Turn Back the Surge

Mlurkkr Massacre : /way 70.5 32.7
Siege at the Whispering Marsch: /way 67.1 77.5
The Malformed Leviathan: /way 46.7 62.8
The Broodmother's Nest: /way 45.7 29.6
The Looming Mutagenior: /way 26.4 64.9

I’m not getting this at all. Looked at the event guide. Turned up at the right location 5 mins before and nothing. Frustrating

Commento di drjeckyl

Dumbest quest ever, no on map notifications where anything starts at.

Commento di Gaeliane

You do not need coordinates to know when or where to go.

Open your Quest log
Click Events Tab
Select the Curse you want
Right Click
Focus

This will pin it on the map and you can head there without issue.

For events still yet to come you are able to right click and add reminder which will notify you when it is close to occuring.

I hope this helps!

Edit: For questions - I use base UI with very little modification . Here is how and what it looks like
https://imgur.com/a/eqoknqg (You can also see I use Rarescanner which actually puts the locations of the curse surges on the map under the rare that is spawned so it can help you find the location prior to the event starting)

Done 3 Surges today, only got credit for 1 of them. Actively participated in all of them. I'm so confused. One of them I didn't get a hit on the last boss because everyone burned it down too fast, and if that's the case, that's actively punishing people doing the surge and rewarding the people who afk at the boss spawn.

Commento di haagendazs

This quest is a disaster, given how long respawn timers take.

What a huge waste of time. Respect your player base, change your philosophy – we're not 14 anymore.

Commento di TomiOmit

Complete one surge, got credit, leave your raid then quickly sign to another, kill boss again and you'll got credit again. You can complete this quest fast if you manage to find 3 raids one after another.

Did not receive my spark after finishing it

/way 70.5 32.7 Mlurkkr Massacre
/way 45.7 29.6 Broodmother's Nest

Commento di Wrekson

This quest and the related surges are a clown show. After staring at this quest for a few days thinking... what's a surge and where are they? I poked the all knowing internet and got the super secret waypoints and recommendation to look in the "horn tab" that I've never used in my life (I've played WoW off and on since the original beta)... Now I'm one of the cool kids that show up at these undisclosed locations right before the secret time.... so I can watch 50+ people slaughter a world event in record time. Me? I like to do a quick love tap then just dance with the poor NPC that is about to get blown to bits.

Commento di NotaanTTV

The trick to this is use the "Events" tab on your Map. It will show you the next spawning event.

Then you can use these waypoints to locate where to go:
/way 70.5 32.7 Mlurkkr Massacre
/way 45.7 29.6 Broodmother's Nest
/way 67.1 77.5 Siege at Whispering Marsh
/way 46.7 62.8 Malformed Leviathan
/way 26.4 64.9 Looming Mutagenior

Commento di vapocalypse

I added the zone ID to the commands to make them macroed and usable from anywhere:

/way #2512 70.5 32.7 Mlurkkr Massacre
/way #2512 45.7 29.6 Broodmother's Nest
/way #2512 67.1 77.5 Siege at Whispering Marsh
/way #2512 46.7 62.8 Malformed Leviathan
/way #2512 26.4 64.9 Looming Mutagenior

The Broodmother's Nest: 48.45, 35.03

Commento di Jaredius

I logged in to wowhead just to post how terrible cursed surges are designed. Either it is bugged all to heck that is causing all the confusion, or it is just too convoluted for my tiny brain to understand. Either way, it just feels really bad.

- The Malformed Leviathan Leviatano Deforme - /way #2512 47.40 62.10,
- Mlurkkr Massacre Ss'akrithos - /way #2512 70.93 31.70,

Is looks like they add timer before start event to not let people kill them to fast its 3 min.

Hope That Help You :)

Commento di Blunderbus

This quest sucks. Either change it to just having to do one surge, or make them constantly active. Having to wait 45 min for a surge is ridiculous.

Commento di FlasKamel

"Be there at a very specific time over the span of 3 hours to do a boring thing" is not fun content. Boring.

Commento di pups88

just another reason to say good bye to this game it's getting pathetic now ya have to be on at specific times to get things done ?
what a joke

Commento di Uludil

You can do multiple surges per "event". If you finish quickly in a big raid group, just join another group in LFR afterwards, until the there are no more up :)

Commento di Sarthorius

If you're from low population servers and hop into the LFG to do this, you can actually manage to do 2/3 of the quest, by, right after finishing the surge in the group, dropping group, and hope that the one on YOUR shard is still up, and tag stuff to double-tap the quest, only needing 1 more surge to finish it.

This also might help speed up even more the 150x Surge Achievement too.
