These are the elementals send to destroy the population/city of Stormwind. They are 'minions' of the Twilight Hammer, and they are contained in devices which have been secretly placed in Stormwind by the cultists. Your task is simple, destroy the elementals.

This would have been devestating had it succeeded. Think about it. Stormwind and Orgrimmar leveled and THEN the Cataclysm hits. I'm not sure the Horde and Alliance would be able to rally after that.

The targets are these floating things that look like one-lobed hourglasses. Right-click, and it will release a raging wind element. I don't know if they are scaled for the character, but each was about 10k HP.

This quest is a part of the questline during the Cataclysm event! You can make them spawn by hitting the strange objects found in the different districts in Stormwind (and Orgrimmar I assume).

You gotta spawn these elementals yourself, they do not spawn by themselves, talk the hourglasses around the city.

You're looking for hourglasses that are rotating in the air and sparkling. I found a ton of them on the road along the canals in Stormwind. Simply right click on the hourglass and an air elemental will spawn.

This quest is amusing for killing newbies. Simply trick them in hitting the mobs, then run away and watch them getting wtfpwned.

The devices are on plain sight mainly on the streets of the districts and in the canals.
No need to visit all districts to complete the quest. Can destroy 5 of them in a single district.

[You can't have been the only person sent into Stormwind to deploy those devices containing wind elementals. We have to find and disable the rest of the devices before they set their captive elementals free to create storms in the city.

Are you familiar enough with the devices to destroy them? Our best chance is to break the devices before the elementals inside can reach full strength. Look for the devices in the Trade District, Cathedral Square and the Mage Quarter. Hurry!]
