This is on of the names for the different orphans you can get during Children's Week (the Outland version). This may be the only name, as I have only had one of the orphans, but I doubt that.

There are hints, and rumors, that unlike the other Children's week quests from Org and Stormwind that these orphans might play a role in WCIV. Considering how she reacts to Mu'ru and a Warden of Time tries attacking her.

Might also be a good point to mention she's later adopted by the leader of the blood knights. I'm pretty positive she's going to play a role later on, whether it's WCIV (if it ever comes out) or Wrath of the Lich King. She also seemed rather mischievously attracted to that toy dragon.

Im thinking of a Darth Vader style scenario.
Maybe someday she'll become a very powerful mage, and one day be testing her limits or experimenting with her magical powers and accidentally do something horrible and unforgivable, perhaps even losing control of her powers in some way. Because the "good guys" wont accept her after that, she'll be forced to ally with the bad guys or forever be an outcast who (perhaps) cant control her powers. That way, blizzard could have an extremely cool backstory AND a justifiably powerful mage boss!

Just logged in with my DK and had a mail from her....Lady Liadrin, the leader of the Blood Knights, asked to have her released to her custody. Maybe she becomes a Blood Knight then. Letter text in full below:

Maybe we're thinking about this the wrong way, maybe Salandria and Dornaa try and unite the horde and the alliance, but when they fail to do so, both sides are divided on the battleground of WoWIV

The bronze dragonflight wouldn't attempt to stop her for just any bad reason. Even if in the future she kills both Thrall and Wrynn they wouldn't attempt to even stop her from that. The Bronze Dragonflight are there to keep the flow of time stable, not disrupt it. The only reason I can speculate that they would even consider harming the orphan is that they pose a threat to the stability of time itself in the future, perhaps their fixation with dragons causes them to inevitably disrupt Nozdormu or even destroy him somehow, perhaps enslave him? There couldn't be a bigger blow to the flow of time on Azeroth than destroying Nozdormu.

Though, of course, who's to say what timeline is the present time line? Our characters could all ready be in a past, with a future all ready pre-determined in the Caverns of Time. If the Bronze Dragonflight knows what she "may or may not" do, then there's a chance they have a pretty good idea of what happens in general. Whatever it is, this orphan causes much more trouble for the Bronze Dragonflight than most it seems. The reason that they send you back to make sure Arthas becomes the Lich King is to make sure that the past isn't drastically altered, so much so is the importance of time's integrity that they will make sure that Arthas' descent into madness is unhindered. Though this orphan apparently poses a threat to time itself, perhaps they are the past incarnation of the Infinite Dragonflight's matriarch? Perhaps they grow up to start the Infinite Dragonflight, and then send their agents into the past to interfere with the flow of time, and that's where we are now, going back in time to stop the Infinite Dragonflight, which is formed in the future, and sends agents into the past, so that we in the present must stop them, so we can get to the future unspoiled.

I wonder though, if they warp the past too much they may never even form the Infinite Dragonflight to begin with, which would never send any agents into the past to interfere with the past at all. The Bronze Dragonflight is obviously worried about this orphan causing major philosophical conundrums and headaches.

I'm copy-pasting from my post over on Dornaa. Here's my idea:

After World of Warcraft: Cataclysm comes out, both Dornaa and Salandria get their wishes turned into real life.

(But Dornaa's already did come true, as Arthas got attacked by Putress. Remember?)

Anyway, they will be part of a questline for the Caverns of Time, and for the first time it will be set way off into the future. Dornaa will have some purpose having to do with cross-breeding different species of dragonflight and bronze drangonflight, because the Cataclysm has made a great amount of dragons somehow die. Trying to preserve the rest of the world with her shamanistic power in the meanwhile, she turns to her old orphan friend Salandria to help keep an eye on the cross breeds. But since Salandria always wanted to own a REAL dragon, she steals a few eggs and whelplings, which were bronze/netherwing crossbreeds. She raises them secretly by herself, not caring about the other crossbreeds. She trains them with her amazingly skilled abilities until they're strong enough to take on some of the legendary people in the history of the game. She calls them Infinite Dragonflight, due to the infinite improbability of what they can do.

I'm sorry for the small wall of text. I'll let you figure out the rest.

Sounds rad, if not a little overdone. Seems like people in the World of Warcraft have been messing with dragon eggs since the start.

I don't really care much for people trying to predict what will happen in WC4(if it ever even happens), but it would be nice to have a little closure in regards to the infinite dragonflight.

Well, I personally would grow up to be some kind of psychopath, too, if I was an orphan who got dragged into battlegrounds, raids, and dungeons alongside a group of big scary adventurers who were killing things around me left and right. Kids are very impressionable, and as a result, easily mentally scarred.

I've always had a theory that the infinite Dragonflight are actually still the Bronze Dragonflight but what remains of them after Nozdormu dies and they all go crazy and get the idea into their heads that changing the flow of time will stop his death.

ive sene alot of good theories on this website but lets take everything into consideration as one person said all of hte bronze dragon understand that they need to protect the flow of time and when salandria shows up they want to immediately end her life and nozdormus quote "what she does or fails to do in the future" i think salandria does something good and the reason they deem her a threat at the time was because after doing that good thing she does something bad

i tihnk the good hting she does is saves the bronze dragonflight or at least their cause/purpose by crossbreeding various dragonflights such was dornnas and by extent her purpose (as previously mentioned above) however this is where some speculation comes into play

1. neltharions aspect after being fused into the mix of breeds makes them evil
(this is far less likely)

2. she does become the leader of them and for some reason goes to radical measures for whatever it may be that shell want
(leader because she created them or she maybe even become a dragon who knows)
(a possible motive may be because she wants to be more powerful than the mages for yet agian a reason that is open for speculation)
i tihnk their called the infinite dragonflight because of the infinite possibilities for them due to controling time (if they do in fact replace the bronze dragonflight or are the becoming of them)
i also think the dragon salandria owns (as she says herself) will be the leader of the infinite dragonflight and this is a radical variation of that theory but her interest im shamanistic holy as well as arcane (the coin : someday ill be more powerful than all of these mages) may lead to her controlling the dragon she owns or quite pssibly even becoming it (through some soul thing your guess is good as mine) ultimately one thing is clear she plays a very very important role in the infinite dragonflight let alone the fact the infinite dragonflight will surely play a important role in the course of time

obviously immense thigns will unfold but only time will tell

after reading more i tihnk if come on with a basic timeline of events corresponding to salandria
1. the evnet in caverns of time in wich they try to killher
2. initiation into blood paladins
future events:
3. dornna her childhood friend asks for her help in watching over her new breed of dragons wich dorna was instructed to do in response to many dragons dying off in cataclysm
4. during this time period of watching over the dragons salandria tosses her coin into the fountain (found in our time due to the portals to the past in cavers of time (salandria is there because dorna asked her to help and dornna is tied with the bronze dragonflight))
5.salandria remembering her childhood wish to want a dragon takes one of the new ones (and possibly kills of the resst or takes all of them)
6. this one depends on what you believed happened in number 5. but if you read dornnas coin she wants artahs to be defeated (in more childish terms because at the time she was 11 when they asked her to watch over the dragons and salandria is 24 at that point since the naru age more like dietys /entitys they age more slowly and blood elves live longer but age faster)but anyway i think either later dornna may join salandria after salandria proposes her idea of the infinite dragonflight to dornna if you think about it theres that one instance (i tihnk it was called the culling of strathholme) where the infinite dragonflight attempts to kill arthas while he culls strathholme (during strathholme because at the time he was notthee lich king and essentialy weaker) so i think salandrai and dornna make the infinite dragonflight

but again anything is possible this just makes the most sense to me

As of 2012 Children's Week, the blood elf orphan is no longer named Salandria specifically, however, turning in the quests does procure a reference to her name. Perhaps Blizzard will be incorporating an adult Salandria in MoP lore next year?

Her outfit she wears looks quite a bit like a Norwegian Bunad, which would be completely possible considering the MASSIVE amount of Nordic lore in the game.

I wonder if she will play a role in an upcoming patch. Remember what happened when you took her to the Caverns of Time during Children's Week? When the guards attempt to kill her, they are stopped by Zaladormu, who tells the guards she will not be punished for "things she might do, or fail to do, in the future".

Honestly, I think all this theorizing is a bit useless... I doubt Bliz actually came up with a concrete story for her at the time that her bit in Children's Week first came about. They probably wanted to make things interesting by having hints as to her mysterious future, and they probably planned to follow up on that at some point. But I doubt they already knew what they were going to do exactly when this was first introduced. I'm pretty sure eventually there will be something regarding her, but don't spend your energy trying to find hints and info, if they were keeping something big, it would have been revealed by now, and when they will make something big of it, they will hint at it in an obvious enough way that most of us dumb players will take notice.

Appears (albeit highly speculatively) to be fated for some variant of an Anakin Skywalker kind of destiny.
Seems to believe in the ideals of redemption and equal consideration for all. This is evidenced by her quote, "I bet Illidan is a nice guy underneath. He just needs a mama, too." Also by her multi-cultural background from being raised in Shattrath City, alongside fellow orphans Dornaa, Hch'uu, and Jheel - the last two of which have been reclaimed by family (Hch'uu) or started pursuing their apprenticeship (Jheel).
Despite these noble ideals that she evidently holds in her nature, they appear to be overshadowed to an extent by her ambitions.

All await the possible elaboration of what her future holds.

It seems Salandria might play a certain big role in the future.
She might be tied with the quest and cinematic of "A wrinkle in time":
-She says she wants to "own" a real dragon.
-A shape similar to a blood elf female can be seen on a dragon in A wrinkle in Time.
-The orphans' wishes are confirmed to come true at one point. Salandria's wish is to be more powerful than all the mages.
-"The girl has done nothing, and will not be held accountable for what she might do, or fail to do, in the future."
=> Salandria may hold the fate of Azeroth in her hands, and fail to make the right choices.
Since the Bronze Dragonflight are able to see through time, they may know the outcome and wish to take revenge on her while they can - but they are stopped by Zaladormu, because he knows modifying the timeline would cause it to eventually collapse due to the butterfly effect.

It's just a theory, but I think it makes sense with what we know so far.

Now click on the Fischietto dell'Orfano Elfo del Sangue to summon Salandria to accept the following quests.. you will need to click on the whistle to summon Salandria per each quest to obtain credit

Kind of interesting - when you mount up she mounts up too on a hawkstrider, but rides sidesaddle. Haven't seen any other NPC with that animation.
