I'll leave the TL;DR above because it's most important and will leave my full report below. This is copied from my post on the Laboratory of Mardivas page.

Spawned Zomera by using a Lesser Benthic Arcanocrystal and a Greater Lithic Arcanocrystal.

Uses Sandstorm, Icestorm, Deep Waters and Earthbolt

Sandstorm oddly enough is a channeled sandstorm dealing light damage and pushes you around. Unavoidable. Zomera will stand still and channel this ability, it cannot be interrupted.

Icestorm is a travelling aoe zone dealing frost damage, damage increases the closer you are to it's centre it seems. Avoidable. Zomera will cast this ability and continue fighting, it cannot be interrupted.

Deep Waters will launch water globules into the air with targeted void zones on the floor, standing in these causes damage. Avoidable. Zomera will channel stand still and cast then channel this ability, it can be interrupted in both the cast and the channel.

Earthbolt is a damaging spell that deals moderate Nature damage. Double the damage of a standard melee attack. Unavoidable. Zomera will stand still to cast this ability and then continue fighting, it can be interrupted.

Zomera has 1.7 Million HP, hits for 11k (26k crit) with melee attacks, 23k with Earthbolt, ticks for 4k with Sandstorm and between 3 and 8k with Ice Storm. I was not foolish enough to let Deep Waters hit me.

At the time of recording I am a 401 ilvl Elemental Shaman. The fight lasted 1 minute 33 seconds and was easily handled using Heroism, a Primal Earth Elemental for the first minute of the fight and a Primal Storm Elemental for the remainder.

Zomera Dropped 3 Prismatic Manapearls, a Scrying Stone and gave 100 rep with the Waveblade Ankoan for killing and a further 5 Manapearls and 500 rep with the Waveblade Ankoan for turning in the quest.

401 resto druid cannot kill zomera. tried going balance but his winds kept blowing me around and breaking all my casts, dont have the gear to go tank. im really annoyed by this mob, i have completed mage towers before but cannot beat this! >:( is it an ilvl/gear issue?

Just soloed him as a ilevel 395 Fire Mage. Just make sure that you interrupt Deep Waters and avoid as many of the other attacks as you can and it will be fine.

It's looking like every one of these summons has additional items they can drop. I believe all of these models can be found elsewhere, like in Arcane Chests or from Nazjatar rares. But this is still a source for at least a few interesting pieces of transmog, or at the very least, a few interesting recolors, and allows you to farm specific models by choosing specific elementals every week.

The elementals also have a chance to drop the various 'tool' items from Nazjatar. (Pietra Rivelatrice, Esca, Seme Germinante, and Piccone per Salmastrite)

Soloed with 398 iLvl Shadow Priest
Tried like 10+ times then changed my talents on 2nd and 4th row to San'layn and Last Word to have more healing output and less silence cooldown to interrupt Acquefonde Potenziate cast and succeeded on first try.
Do not panic during the fight if you can't interrupt its Acquefonde Potenziate cast then try to run as far away from it as you can ( don't exit cave accidentally :D)
As shadow priest try to line up your Vampiric Embrace -> Void Eruption -> Shadow Word : Void -> Void Bolt -> Shadow Word : Void casts to get maximum from Vampiric Embrace . Also I would suggest to get Memory of Lucid Dreams Essence it will help you with Insanity generation and will heal you little bit .

I hate this stupid mob to the bottom of my heart. Scarce rep gains with the sea goblins heavily incentify killing it for the 500 rep. But the fight is an absolute hell. This piece of foul pixels will slow you down while spawning interrupting and damaging void zones all around you and under your feet, it will toss you up, it will drag you with the winds, so you feel that you have no control over your own character whatsoever. Many times it'll blow you into a corner behind junk "artistic" objects on the ground so when you try to move, you won't be able to because you are stuck behind them and as added bonus the camera will go ape***t due to being too close to a wall. It will also randomly cast a shield that abosrobs around 90k magic damage, so a shadow priest like myself will suffer. It will do unpredictable amounts of damage and receive unpredictable amounts of damage.

One try I got him as low as 15k! 15k hp! And this ungodly creation of some programmer cast a shield right before I went for a finishing blow! For 10 seconds I tried to bring it down, but ultimately died again. The next try I barely put it to 50%. I've spent a week upping my ilvl, buying potions, making mech bombs, doing WQ that give you a buff, searching for items that give buffs, tried again and again - but it all was just to suffer.

This is just torture. A quest you need to do, if you don't want to waste another week on your way to flying mounts, but it just tortures you. And you can't ask for help either - the zone is solo phase only. Some developers have a wicked mind. I hope their wires will be forever entagled, their keyboard keys stuck and their connection always lagging.

Some of these comments suggest this mob is really hard. This is probably the case at lower item levels, particularly on alts. However, at item level 432 equipped (Ele Shaman), it fell over in 29 seconds, having popped all CDs.

Like many people I am having a hard time with this fight. I am a 414 Pally tank. But the biggest issue I am encountering is Zomera despawning mid-fight. I can’t see this being some timer because it happens 1-2 minutes into fight and others have posted longer times. I am fighting near the spot he spawns so it isn’t distance either. Anyone have ideas?

Update: After too many more attempts, I have learned there are indeed several spots in the cavern that cause Zomera to de-spawn if you get knocked into them. I finally found a "good" spot and finally defeated it.

Access to Mardivas' Labratory and completion of the achievement Periodic Destruction begins with completing L'eredità del Mago pazzo, and leads to opening up the weekly quest Il Laboratorio di Mardivas, in which you will have to summon various elementals over the course of 13 weeks. You may summon one elemental per week by, either activating the Amalgamatore di Essenza Elementale alone, or activating various combinations of the lesser and greater Arcanocrystals, using Acqua Minerale Strana, Roccia Vulcanica Strana, and Sedimento Oceanico Strano along with the Amalgamatore di Essenza Elementale, and completion of the quest grants 10 Perla di Mana Prismatica. Activating the Amalgamator will summon the elemental and lock out until the weekly server reset. Each elemental also has a chance to drop various rare and epic loot. I'm not sure how other classes fare, but I completed all elementals as an Unholy Death Knight, never bothering to switch to Blood spec.

This achievement is a part of the meta Usurpatore degli oceani. You use need the below items in conjunction with crystals to spawn the below mobs using the following combinations.

Coordinates to the cave are: /way Nazjatar 60.31 30.52 Mardivas's Laboratory

The mobs for Il Laboratorio di Mardivas seem to drop ~2-3 Perla di Mana Prismatica and the final quest turn in giving 5 Perla di Mana Prismatica. If you are unsure if you have done it this week you can copy and paste this into your chat log. If "true" is returned it has been completed. If it states "false" then the quest hasn't been done. /script print(IsQuestFlaggedCompleted(55121))
