First Look at Dreamsurges - Patch 10.1.7 Gear Catch-Up World Event

Dreamsurges are a new world event arriving in Patch 10.1.7, Fury Incarnate. Dreamsurges will serve as a way to grant catch-up gear to alts, up to farmable ilvl424 and ilvl437 gear on a limited basis. We took a look at how the event works on the Patch 10.1.7 PTR to bring you all the details!
Dreamsurge Basics
A Dreamsurge will permeate one Dragon Isles zone per week. While a zone is under the effects of a Dreamsurge, the zone will experience
Venti Sognanti
, granting a 25% experience bonus to characters leveling in that zone.
The Dreamsurge vignette over Thaldraszus for the week.
Every 30 minutes, a Dreamsurge event will pop up somewhere in the zone, allowing players to complete objectives. Dreamsurge events drop ilvl402, Veteran 1/8 item tokens. You can also vote for Dreamsurge effects every 30 minutes, which affect every player in the zone.

You can also collect
Coalescenza Sovronirica
from completing objectives in a Dreamsurge zone or looting items around the zone, which can be used to purchase items.
A Dreaming Growth that will award

In addition to this, there is a Dreamsurge weekly quest,

Waking Dream Portals
Waking Dream Portals are an invasion-esque portion of the Dreamsurge in which you need to fend off attacks from Druids of the Flame.

During a Waking Dream portal, you get to advance a progression bar by defeating Druids of the Flame, destroying Flame Altars or dragonriding through flametalon hawks. Once you complete the progress bar, a Flame Lieutenant is summoned.

You can obtain or purchase two tiers of catch-up gear with Dreamsurges:
Completing Dreamsurge events drops ilvl 402, Veteran 1/8 gear (upgradeable to a max of ilvl424). This gear can also be purchased from Celestine of the Harvest at Dreamsurge locations for 100
